    As an automotive CZcamsr I can say this from experience..... Recording a project takes WAAAAYYYYY more time than you think. A project that should take 3 hours takes about 5 hours with camera rolling, changing angles etc. Then there is the editing. It's "easy" to talk about cars/trucks, but making videos that people will watch and still get the information across is an art. It takes about 3 hours of footage to make a 12-15 minute video (at least with the style of editing I have chosen). All that said, I'm still looking forward to seeing what you do and how you'll present it. It's too bad the views come from the vlog style video where most people just want to be entertained. There's a gap in content for the deep dive information that you've been presenting. I hope you find it's worth your time and enough people watch to keep your content coming! I'll be saving your videos for the day when I begin my own Mustang build - yup a conversion for all the same reasons you've mentioned!

      It's true. I have more work videos to come but parts have kept me at bay for a little bit.

    Your story is literally the same as mine. I’ve always wanted a ‘67/68 fastback but couldn’t “afford one”. I bought a ‘68 coupe a year ago and recently purchased the fastback conversion. Went the separate parts route because of your, and many others’ advice. 🙏🏽

    Yeah perfect ! I want to build a Fastback , I just need to find a coupe . I think it’s a perfect name for your project. I was 18 and I found a 67 Fastback 289 4 speed for $800. My dad saw it and no way his son was having that. Well better late then never . I am on the hunt . Thank you for the inspiration.

    true most channels don't show the measurements to build a 67 Ford Mustang Fastback from a coupe

    • @ScottHarness1

      yeah, I think that is for a reason... They may want you to pay them to do it. Just saying. I love being able to help. New videos coming soon...

    Good for you Pastor, I love seeing men of God working on cars cause besides preaching, they love cars! I started following a few others doing these and I love the idea and they look fantastic too. Lord willing, my tests come back with and news but cancer I'm going to finish my 68 Chevy Impala and may be one of these. I will subscribe to your channel. I need to do a few vieos of my car and not just my MiniMax concrete mixers and a few political TV interviews I've done for National News channels. I'll be stopping in and look at your older videos. Thank you!

    Awesome vid! We have found with the roof, if you screw it down in back first, then stretch and pound the front in is the easiest. Keep up the awesome work!!

    Why not lay both glass with spacers in there? That makes it 100% no matter if your sheet metal is off. BTW: front to back roof flanges (longest measurement) can vary up to 1/4 of an inch.

    • @ScottHarness1
      @ScottHarness1  Před 2 lety

      You could for sure but when every thing isn’t welded it’s good to have a measurement and not risk your glass until you get it at least spot welded in. Yeah there is some variance in the flange… good points.

  • @georgerichardson-nv2du
    @georgerichardson-nv2du Před rokem +1

    Coming in late to the party but when you measure from the rear filler to the front edge on the roof pinch weld for the 78 3/4", do you measure above the roof or below the roof through the interior cabin?

  • @realmodsnation
    @realmodsnation Před rokem +1

    I had to remove A pillars and I am curious, if there any vertical measurements should be done within the door area (I know that the back height is important, which is 20 inches from the seam next to wheel well to the central bracket at the inner structure of QP).

    • @ScottHarness1
      @ScottHarness1  Před rokem

      Sorry for the slow response. If your using a complete prefab inner structure no. Can you send me a pic and I can maybe help you?

  • @tomspecht4733
    @tomspecht4733 Před 2 lety +1

    Can you give a measurem from the bottom edge of the opening of the windshield up to the points on the tape where we measure from to come up with that exact measurement? 3 fingers for one person vs another might be a half inch or more which will change the measurment. Also on the measurement for the center of the back window to the roof and for the diagonal measurementis of the back window are those both from the hip?

      The interior is a list I am working on, there won't be a one shop resource unfortunately. It's going to be a bit complicated. I hope to have a parts guide for this in a month or so...
