- We’re back in TEXAS! After 10 months and thousands of miles of traveling this year, we have made it back “home” for a much needed travel break. And along the way we stopped at Caddo Lake, a place we have always wanted to visit, plus enjoyed some delicious Texas BBQ!

Hi y’all! We’re Adam, Kathryn, and Kona, an adventurous married couple (+ pup!) living on the road in our self-converted sprinter van! Getting home always feels good. Once you're within 200 miles it's like a horse headed for the barn. Your family seemed really glad that you are safely home. Get some rest and "pay the bills". Lol. See you hopefully next year. Hope Kona got some brisket. She really kept you two in line on the entire trip. 👍👍🏍🏍🏍🙋♂️

Thank you for sharing your travels with us! By the way, those "bits of old trees" are "Cypress knees" and they are a part of the living trees that were all around you. Cypress trees like swampy environments, and often do grow right in the water like that, but when they do, their roots can't "breathe" so they grow those knees that stick up out of the water so the roots can get air. (or at least that is one common theory)

This video looked so warm - very jealous of you in your tank top Kathryn! But it was what I needed to mentally feel a bit warmer in this cold snap we've been in for the past week! Caddo lake looked stunning with all those trees growing out of the water. I took a motorised boat tour just outside of New Orleans many years ago and the nature looked not too dissimilar to these and I guess geographically it's not too far (correct me if I'm wrong!) I was there in summer though and I think the autumnal vibes you guys had on this trip was amazing! Nice that you guys are back 'home' for Christmas - and hoping you got there for Thanksgiving last month too. Hope you get some well deserved time off - we just broke up from school for 2 weeks on Friday and it's such a weight off my shoulders! Can't wait to find out what next year has in stall for us - hoping you guys will do a reveal like you did with Alaska at the start of the year!
It was right on the upper edge of the warmth we like to be in! Caddo Lake was very interesting and had been on our bucket list for awhile and it lived up to it! New Orleans is a few hours away, but that whole area is very swampy like the Caddo area.
We did make it home for all the holidays and it has been great! We're catching up on work, relaxing, and gearing up for a big '23! I don't think we'll do a big reveal, but we'll obviously share what our plans are as we go along!
I know those school breaks are always much needed and always too short! Thanks for watching!

I am finally caught up on all your videos! Your videos in the “lower 48” were fantastic. My bucket list keeps getting longer and longer. I loved your visit to Nebraska and Oklahoma! I knew nothing about Oklahoma except for tornados and Blake Shelton! LOL. Now, I definitely need to go! You do a wonderful job with your videos; I’ve learned from tips and tricks from watching them. Your 2022 Trip was epic to watch. I already saw part of your “recap video”. I’m looking forward to seeing what you do in 2023! Grew up not to far from there @ the Gulf. I moved to MT from TX in '07.. Given y'all are THANKFULLY aware of the gaters, no warning needed! ;) Texas winter's are short.. Summer's long.. weighing in all those facts the last couple of years. ✌🤟Enjoy!

Merry Christmas Adam and Kathryn from Salt Lake City. Caught up on your vlogs today. The trip to Caddo Lake was especially nice. I lived in Claiborne Parish, Louisiana, in the early 1980s, and spent quite some time stomping around those piney woods of the Ark-La-Tex as a boy.

Merry Christmas! Met you going to the Arctic Ocean (remember the Muk Tuk?) and fondly remember marshmallows at the bridge that was out. I lost my disposable Lincoln navigator, but happily have settled in Kona Hawaii.
As a native New Yorker, it is difficult to admit, but all Texas BBQ is fantastic! Hawaii has no legal slaughterhouses, so the only beef we get is flown in next-day. Makes the luau's more important. Let me know when you're driving out this way...

His reputation was never the only natural lake in texas, it is the largest natural lake college by the log down in Texas. And I hope while you were there you ate it Big pine Lodge which is a legend okay patience puppies.
