Fix to Flip, 1988 Ford F150

- In todays video I work on this 1988 Ford f150. It is a 5.0, short bed automatic 4x4. I am planning on flipping this truck for a profit. This truck came to me with a purchase of 3 trucks total. I thought that it was the most solid, but man these early EFI engines are strange. Hope you guys enjoy the video!

I had an 88 XLT Lariat model back about 1997. These are great trucks. I had the same issue you had with the starter solenoid. The truck would start, and the starter would keep right on cranking. Some of these trucks came with cab lights right from the factory. Sometimes with these trucks when the alternator would go bad, you may have to change the connector going to it because it gets overheated and deformed. Looks like you lucked out with that though. Nice to see the wiring repairs you made. The previous owner cobbled some stuff up that's for sure. Leaving bare wires exposed with no electrical tape even.
My brother has an 88 F-150 that is still running with almost 300,000 miles on it. You can see every one of those miles when you look at it, but it is still pretty reliable.
Might change the fuel filter, its right below the drivers door in the frame.

That's one of those anti-theft wheel hubs. Gotta take it off in the right way or fagetaboutit... 😂
I love those trucks man. Had a couple myself at one time. Does it have the v8 or straight 6? Looks to be in decent shape. What are you asking for it?

Not too sure, the bug shield came with the truck.

You're never gonna believe this but I currently own this truck lol. I bought it off a kid in Warsaw about 5 Months ago and now the thing doesn't run. It ran rough when I bought it but I let it sit for a few weeks and now it just cranks and cranks but wont start. It has spark, fuel, and power... no idea what the issue could be, any tips?
