One of the very first games we've played when we bought our PS2 (along with The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction and Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty), way back in 2009. I couldn't play that much because it triggers my seizure, but oh boy, the intro, the character select, the soundtracks, the gameplay, and the Konquest mode.. good ol' days!
Shujinko's alternate costume should've been Young Shujinko from Konquest.

I got mk Armageddon years ago few years before the ps4 release I didn’t know that the ps3 existed and there was only ps2 I was sick of play gta san andreas and bully so I went to the store and got the first game I saw (every single game was 1$) I got this one game I didnt know what it was but it looked cool the beginning looked very cool I didnt know about the menus and all of that but I do remember some stuff I remember losing to mavado losing as bo rai cho by getting impaled into some spikes (stage fatality) and a tower collapsing and the game freezing after beating bo rai cho in the klassic towers I can barley remember anything so its quite hard to figure out what I was doing but then I got the ps3 and didn’t know the ps4 was already out (I didn’t know much about consoles and games I just bought what ever I can get) first game I played was gta5 then I finally played mk x then upgraded to a ps4 in 2017 (the year I was super into games and was finally learning about consoles and games) and I played alot of games lost alot of acc some hacked some wiped because my dumbass would just unplug the ps4 and here I am now....I’m still not that good but I can get like a 8-10 hit kombo highest I’ve got was 26 hits with liu kang in mk11 yes you didn’t ask but thought it would be interesting to put my entire gaming life story out there

Dude quality is better than quantity
Many of the characters have alternate costumes that are better than the default
My favs are:
- Ermac’s (gives Ermac a more human look instead of a mummy look, which to me is cooler)
-Cyrax’s (shows his face and arms, his remaining organic body)
- Sektor’s (that helmet is just better than the default, honestly)
-Fujin’s (love the hair and cape)
-Kabal’s (love the spiky mask and the back thing)
-Kung Lao’s (love seeing him with long hair and not wearing that hat)
-Raiden’s (the exposed chest isn’t good, but the hair, necklace and that he isn’t wearing the hat are just awesome)
-Ashrah’s (love her hair and cleavage)
-Nitara’s (sexy af)
-Frost’s (same reason as Nitara)
-Goro’s (that helmet and shirt are cool)
I just prefer them without hats or any headwear and with their hair out

This is the best MK game ever, in my opinion. It’s simple to understand and play with my sister. It has all the fighters from the original timeline, and you can even create your own. Plus, the newer games are way too realistic to the point where I have to look away during fatalities and fatal blows. This one is my favorite.
fax, I know a lot of people complain that an abundance of characters had similar play styles, but come on, this game came out on the ps2 so it's understandable they could only fit so much on a disk. Imagine if it were reimagined for the ps5/xbox/pc with the power we have now.

This would have been the perfect appropriate to make all but 2-5 characters locked. In order to unlock characters you would have to play konquest, find them in the krypt, and win or fulfill a certain challenge in Kombat racing.
If anything, the idle music while picking characters is pretty intense

Best roster of the whole series, followed by MK9. Seriously, MK Armageddon wasn't perfect, it definitely had problems, but the character selection was not one of them. The problem of Netherrealm's MK is they have a lot of fan favorites sit out in MKX and MK11 and that pisses off many of the fandom. This game? They were like, fuck it, let's bring everyone back! Even Chameleon! And it was good. So good.
