Just to add improvements I used from the comments: If you use a 10 tile ranged weapon (crystal bow on long-range) and keep auto-retaliate OFF, you'll usually get 2 hits in each time you run in - attack - run back. Wear a ring of recoil and bring another. They added 55 damage for me in total on the last phase.
Really made it very easy to understand, ty. **btw if you use a 10 tile/5 tick range weapon, you can get like 2 shots on glough by clicking on him and having the auto retaliate set off before he tele you**
was struggling bad on medium level ironman. What got me the kill is when i used a yew longbow to safespot the first phases, and then MSB on rapid (near melee range) for the final phase + ring of recoil (bring 2 total). after he teleports you into melee range, fire a msb shot first. then take a step back, then fire a second shot before he teleports you again. if you are getting owned, instead fire 1 shot, and take a step back and eat (eating = no second shot)

this actually helped me. the fight still got intense at the end bc i got stuck in a tele loop when he was fairly low. at first i was mostly able to break free but eventually i had to commit when he was on like 30 health. which isnt a lot but i was doing under 2 dps lol
Not so long ago Jagex released a new potion called “Menaphite Remedy” which passively restores your combat stats periodically which may be useful here for when you need to brew up to heal but don’t want to waste a super restore dose if your Prayer hasn’t drained enough yet. Might be worth a slot!
After like a two+ year break, i come back and find out you can have neive kill the gorillas, and then i find out you can safespot the boss. Ffs, i shouldve had this done so long ago. Itll get done today.
I used a magic short bow on long range and I believe black d hide. The magic short bow is sufficient and you can imbue it also. I believe at the time I had around 80 range, and I was low budget so I definitely did not have best in slot.
