Yeah, I'm like at least 500 hours in and have found shit all. Couple of Shakos and handful on Tal's armors but that is everything worthwhile. I also have mule who at least 15 pairs of IK:s boots...

Build a really budget smiter(from the paladin). With sorc get the dest keys, and first sell them for FG to get capital. Than get more dest keys and buy hates and terrors for cheap in bulk. Make uber and get unid torches and sell them for sweet money. you could do this without jsp but it wouldnt make sense.

For me the most consistent way to get an enigma in the early season was to go a trap sin with a TP staff and just farm Nihilithak for D Keys, i got my engima on day 4~ or so while torches were going for a ridiculous amount my first sorc torch was 15/12 and went for a BER.

The trade game tip has made a huge difference for me this ladder. I was able to strike some amazing deals and now I have an enigma with only 1 really lucky drop.
Played it similar. Flipped skillers, made around 1 Pul profit per flip. Traded the profit for Ist(s). Traded the Ist(s) for cheap Cham(s). Made Zod(s). Traded Zod for Sur.
As the user of the forbidden website, i'm glad to finally know the answer to the "do these rip-off trades really work for anyone?" question. And the tip to check the website for price checking is very solid. 5:14 Also, thanks for the demonstration, i've never had an HR drop in my life. I wouldn't know what it looks like.
I'm an og D2 player that played it for about 10 years and was in the same boat as you, though I never really dedicated myself to non-stop repetitive farming. In the past few days I've had 2 Vex, 1 Lo, and an Ohm rune drop from random elite packs on the way to the Countess, with the Countess dropping a couple of mid runes (as well as an Um dropping right before I reached her), and I've gotten a couple of decent runes from Cows. Highly recommend you just do those over and over, especially Countess, since it's such a condensed area with a lot of adds, and it's fairly quick and easy. Doing it on a sorc is much easier with teleport and the fact that she doesn't have to deal with hammers getting caught in the walls like a Hammerdin does. The Hammerdin is still probably my favorite character though, much love.

I've added the Countess to my sorc's rotation only very recently, as for the cows, i literally made a javazon for them but they gave me really dry drops, mostly just usable charms and runes up to Um. Meh.
@@TheStrongestBaka Oh no, I'm playing online in a private game. So those drops are from 1 player drops. They're just so easy to run quickly and so condensed with adds that the drops are quite good. Same goes for cows with a Javazon. It's all about repetition and mass killing when it comes to rune drop rate. High runes do drop in Cows due to just the sheer volume of cows there are; I've seen an Ohm rune drop in them.
Sorry old posts and all. Just wanted to share my D2 RNG luck. Played for nearly 5 years at the 1999 or 2000 launch, whenever it was. Never dropped a high rune or anything that I would really consider very rare. Now I have played about 4 months of D2R, mainly weekend farmer. In last 2 weeks I have dropped a Vex in CS, an SOJ on nightmare level 3 of tower. Working on trading but it seems everyone is waiting for 2.4

I actually got some decent stuff for both my Sorc and for Paladin. Out of all the items you listed, I probably have 75-80% of them. However, with high runes it's a different story. When I was leveling, about 1/1month and a half ago, I managed to get a Ber out of the poison skeleton in the inner cloister, a Vex out of one of the caskets in either the countess tower or the mausoleum/crypts (cant remember), and a Gul in CS. However, after some time, as I got better gear and became more efficient (clearing Meph/Council in less than 2mins), it seems the rarer the rune drops became. It's almost as if the game treats the runes as crypto currency, and the more high runes that drop, the harder it gets to drop them for newer players. I've been running AT/Cows/Trav/Meph for countless hours in the past 2 weeks, and nothing of value drops, only worthless stuff. Not even Puls or Lems, only runes below Lum or Hel. What's frustrating is that I found a really good base (eth 4os great poleaxe) for Infinity, but I can't find any decent runes to trade for the remaining Ber. With POE I felt the game was so overwhelming because of the complexity of the builds and the sheer vastness of items in the game, but with Diablo I feel it's the most unrewarding game ever, as it seems that the faster/better you get with farming, the shittier the rune drops become. I managed to trade some decent stuff and amass 6 Ists, 2 Guls and a few Puls and Lems, but that doesn't even come close to a Ber's value

Took me a month of casual playing to get an Enigma. Basically did everything in your video. But Vex Ist for Ohm only works very early, today nobody is going to take the trade or Ist for a Skullders.
Found ber off pindle, 2 sur in ancient tunnels, and vex in chaos. Started out as blizzard sorc. Self found talset in ancient tunnels. Now a lite sorc with infinity. Found ohm in chaos, made cta. Farming everything in the game now. :) took a few weeks all self found
Probably the luckiest season in all 20 years of playing, usually always went blizz then find gear for my hammerdin. This time I actually got to end game gear for a Sorc.

A flex, with pro tips gently sprinkled in, of course. I tried just the tips, but that didn't feel right. Ok I'll give a real answer. I didn't find all that stuff you listed, in the first 24 hours. All I found in the first 24 hours was 2gul (one from hellforge), 2pul, mal, 5/5L, 5/5C, and Vex. Before I decided to start recording all my trades, I made a HOTO offscreen out of the VexPul and traded it and GulPulMal for the BK, Skullders, Ohm, Ist and Ums that you see me "starting out with" when I traded for Jah. In the segment where I was explaining how to trade, I borrowed examples from later on like the Ohm rune, which I actually got AFTER I had Enigma. I showed it later in its proper chronological place. Sorry for the confusion. It actually didn't feel lucky. I didn't keep track how many Chaos runs I did in the back half of those 24 hours, but it felt like I did hundreds. I'd go on 15-20 runs and get nothing remotely tradeable. The truly lucky drops, like finding 2 Lo runes and an Ohm rune, happened after the first 24 hours. TL:DR I wasn't THAT lucky with drops until after 24 hours.
@@withnofiller still pretty insane luck but the biggest takeaway for me was how you traded very efficiently and quickly. That's something I can do on a ladder start to squeeze out value quick with early drops. You're a trading master!

You did seriously get really lucky. In legacy I have played since release and have a good 30k hours in the game. I have found an OHM rune ONCE and that's it. The only HR i ever self-found. I am currently sitting on a 87 Sorc doing hundreds of runs daily, and I haven't even found a shako or an arach yet. I only started maybe 2 weeks ago, but I have already done at least 3000 MF-runs with at least 250 MF. I found like 3 titans already, but they aren't eth so they are pretty much worthless. I just want to find a HoZ and then I will start my pala.

Well done! Nice to see someone’s journey just by in game trades. I had a similar path and timeframe as you, however I used “that website”. I did start from 0fg, though. For me, the most profitable and fun part of gaining wealth is flipping items for profit. A few weeks after launch I bought a necro package for 1500fg which was about ohm+vex at the time. Arach, Shako, necro torch, death web, and a handful of PnB GCs. I ended up flipping the Shako for a 39life PnB gc, then sold everything else individually for a total of 3000fg so double profit and around the value of Jah. Was a lot of fun
This was great, I was never good at trading so I have everything but enigma now. Feel like you have to get better at trading if you want the real end game stuff. Only thing I noticed is the protector shield. Protector shield only has 50% chance to block, while a sacred targe has 60% chance to block (And better smite dmg). Thanks for the video, 10/10
Gz, nice trade strategy! I finished my "mini-project" today - reach 95lvl on single running CS with players 7 command. I spent around 50h or more doing that (94-95 took me 13h of farming). I had some nice drops: cham, sur, ohm, 2x vex, 2x gul, 2x ist, mal, arach belt, Griffon, gc 1combat pal 27life, and a lot of other useful items. No luck with finding jah and ber runes, so I can't fulfill my dream to have enigma :c
Just as I start getting bored of d2r I find more content to keep me interested 😂 I managed to self find an enigma in a weekend thanks to river of flame and cows. Necro is fully decked out except an anni now.

Awesome guide, I made a S2 ladder sorc a while back and casually been playing her following your guide to the T. My sorc is nicely geared and I acquired: BER, 2LO, OHM, 6 IST and an assorment of UMs and PULs. Couple more runs/trades and I'll be able to trade for a JAH to complete it. UPDATE: I got it, my preeeecious. Again, thanks for the guide, it helped a lot.

i just bought a full tall set from "that website" on day 8 (thats when i could start playing) and ~ 18 hours of gameplay later i was debating on "should i do a paladin or poison necro" quick tip for ladder season 2 : theres also "this website" where you can group up with complete strangers and split farm --> thats how i got infinity ~ 7 CTA rolls and enigma + a sad 2/1/45 D-web drop.
Blizzard really gutted the trade by making gems and runes non-stackable. Path of Exile solved the trading problem, you could mostly trade in just 1-2 currencies for just about any item in the game, so everything could be priced in said currencies, no need for ridiculous out of game currency like FG
strategy to get enigma within 24 hours from scratch: get an extremely lucky 2x gul 1x vex pul Lo drop etc. ontop of a 5/-5 perfect light facet etc. wow! thanks man! so helpful! loool

Sorry old posts and all. Just wanted to share my D2 RNG luck. Played for nearly 5 years at the 1999 or 2000 launch, whenever it was. Never dropped a high rune or anything that I would really consider very rare. Now I have played about 4 months of D2R, mainly weekend farmer. In last 2 weeks I have dropped a Vex in CS, an SOJ on nightmare level 3 of tower. Working on trading but it seems everyone is waiting for 2.4

When I offer 60% of the value of the item it usually take like 4 hours to get someone to trade. I am impressed that you got entire enigma in 24h.
Yeah.. that strategy didn't work as well later on in the season, just the first week. Later on I had to offer ~90% or more to get a trade to land.
Another tip: focus on 1 character,better to have 1 perfect than 10 mediocre
Yea unless you just want a quick One Use Character like Budget Smiter or Cow Java

I actually got some decent stuff for both my Sorc and for Paladin. Out of all the items you listed, I probably have 75-80% of them.
However, with high runes it's a different story.
When I was leveling, about 1/1month and a half ago, I managed to get a Ber out of the poison skeleton in the inner cloister, a Vex out of one of the caskets in either the countess tower or the mausoleum/crypts (cant remember), and a Gul in CS. However, after some time, as I got better gear and became more efficient (clearing Meph/Council in less than 2mins), it seems the rarer the rune drops became. It's almost as if the game treats the runes as crypto currency, and the more high runes that drop, the harder it gets to drop them for newer players. I've been running AT/Cows/Trav/Meph for countless hours in the past 2 weeks, and nothing of value drops, only worthless stuff. Not even Puls or Lems, only runes below Lum or Hel.
What's frustrating is that I found a really good base (eth 4os great poleaxe) for Infinity, but I can't find any decent runes to trade for the remaining Ber.
With POE I felt the game was so overwhelming because of the complexity of the builds and the sheer vastness of items in the game, but with Diablo I feel it's the most unrewarding game ever, as it seems that the faster/better you get with farming, the shittier the rune drops become.
I managed to trade some decent stuff and amass 6 Ists, 2 Guls and a few Puls and Lems, but that doesn't even come close to a Ber's value

Took me a month of casual playing to get an Enigma. Basically did everything in your video. But Vex Ist for Ohm only works very early, today nobody is going to take the trade or Ist for a Skullders.
vex drops a value quickly, not ist.

Found ber off pindle, 2 sur in ancient tunnels, and vex in chaos. Started out as blizzard sorc. Self found talset in ancient tunnels. Now a lite sorc with infinity. Found ohm in chaos, made cta. Farming everything in the game now. :) took a few weeks all self found

Probably the luckiest season in all 20 years of playing, usually always went blizz then find gear for my hammerdin. This time I actually got to end game gear for a Sorc.

Hold on... in 24 hours... you got a Gul, Pul, Vex, Gul, 5/5 light facet, Ohm, Pul, Mal, 5/5 cold facet, skullders, chancies, occulus, BK, War Travs.......... honestly man this isn't a guide, this is just a pure luck flex

Ok I'll give a real answer. I didn't find all that stuff you listed, in the first 24 hours. All I found in the first 24 hours was 2gul (one from hellforge), 2pul, mal, 5/5L, 5/5C, and Vex. Before I decided to start recording all my trades, I made a HOTO offscreen out of the VexPul and traded it and GulPulMal for the BK, Skullders, Ohm, Ist and Ums that you see me "starting out with" when I traded for Jah.
In the segment where I was explaining how to trade, I borrowed examples from later on like the Ohm rune, which I actually got AFTER I had Enigma. I showed it later in its proper chronological place. Sorry for the confusion.
It actually didn't feel lucky. I didn't keep track how many Chaos runs I did in the back half of those 24 hours, but it felt like I did hundreds. I'd go on 15-20 runs and get nothing remotely tradeable. The truly lucky drops, like finding 2 Lo runes and an Ohm rune, happened after the first 24 hours.
TL:DR I wasn't THAT lucky with drops until after 24 hours.
@@withnofiller still pretty insane luck but the biggest takeaway for me was how you traded very efficiently and quickly. That's something I can do on a ladder start to squeeze out value quick with early drops. You're a trading master!

You did seriously get really lucky. In legacy I have played since release and have a good 30k hours in the game. I have found an OHM rune ONCE and that's it. The only HR i ever self-found. I am currently sitting on a 87 Sorc doing hundreds of runs daily, and I haven't even found a shako or an arach yet. I only started maybe 2 weeks ago, but I have already done at least 3000 MF-runs with at least 250 MF. I found like 3 titans already, but they aren't eth so they are pretty much worthless. I just want to find a HoZ and then I will start my pala.

Well done! Nice to see someone’s journey just by in game trades. I had a similar path and timeframe as you, however I used “that website”. I did start from 0fg, though.
For me, the most profitable and fun part of gaining wealth is flipping items for profit. A few weeks after launch I bought a necro package for 1500fg which was about ohm+vex at the time. Arach, Shako, necro torch, death web, and a handful of PnB GCs. I ended up flipping the Shako for a 39life PnB gc, then sold everything else individually for a total of 3000fg so double profit and around the value of Jah. Was a lot of fun

yep, swing trading is the way to go. Buy low sell high. I went from an ohm to two Ber runes in two weeks just by trading

This was great, I was never good at trading so I have everything but enigma now.
Feel like you have to get better at trading if you want the real end game stuff.
Only thing I noticed is the protector shield. Protector shield only has 50% chance to block, while a sacred targe has 60% chance to block (And better smite dmg).

Gz, nice trade strategy! I finished my "mini-project" today - reach 95lvl on single running CS with players 7 command.
I spent around 50h or more doing that (94-95 took me 13h of farming).
I had some nice drops: cham, sur, ohm, 2x vex, 2x gul, 2x ist, mal, arach belt, Griffon, gc 1combat pal 27life, and a lot of other useful items.
No luck with finding jah and ber runes, so I can't fulfill my dream to have enigma :c

It dropped when I had 94lvl +-95% exp (~50h of farming, ~500 runs)

Awesome guide, I made a S2 ladder sorc a while back and casually been playing her following your guide to the T. My sorc is nicely geared and I acquired: BER, 2LO, OHM, 6 IST and an assorment of UMs and PULs. Couple more runs/trades and I'll be able to trade for a JAH to complete it. UPDATE: I got it, my preeeecious. Again, thanks for the guide, it helped a lot.

@@yan-amar I didn't keep track, absolutely more than 24, sure. But nowhere near 240, just trying to play as efficiently as possible.. town is lava etc, maybe 2 hours a day, for 4-6 weeks?
i just bought a full tall set from "that website" on day 8 (thats when i could start playing) and ~ 18 hours of gameplay later i was debating on "should i do a paladin or poison necro" quick tip for ladder season 2 : theres also "this website" where you can group up with complete strangers and split farm --> thats how i got infinity ~ 7 CTA rolls and enigma + a sad 2/1/45 D-web drop.

Blizzard really gutted the trade by making gems and runes non-stackable.
Path of Exile solved the trading problem, you could mostly trade in just 1-2 currencies for just about any item in the game, so everything could be priced in said currencies, no need for ridiculous out of game currency like FG
