- Welcome to my art workshop where I carve wood and invent mechanical toys. In this video I explain how to make a simple automata, a mouse reading a book about cheese. Using wooden cam mechanism.

here is the third video! the first part sounds strange because it's actually the final greeting, I made a mistake in editing the video😂 with the audio I still have to make some adjustments, but I'm learning!
My dad and uncles used to make us toys like these in the early 60s. We loved them more than any store bought toy, and played with them until the paint wore off. Thank you for sharing this lost art.
Detalles que suelen pasar, pero la enseñanza es lo valioso, gracias
Маленькая, милая мышка, читает энциклопедию о сыре 🧀. Спасибо 🙏 вам наиогромнейшее, вы молодец 👏! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🧀🐀🧀🐀🧀🐀🧀🐀🧀🐀🧀🐀🧀🐀🧀
Thanks for sharing your artistry. Enjoyed the little story, too.
I'm overwhelmed.... What beautiful artwork with a little story to tell. ❤
Aw this is just delightful. Thanku ❤
Che bello vedere il maestro degli automi all’opera! 👏👏👏💯 👋Amedeo 👍
Your work is always so whimsical...LOVE it! How you don't drill into your fingers is amazing as well
If I had tried making this, I would have definitely messed up the inside of the book and the front cover! Always nice to see a pro just go for it! 🐭
Great job! I really enjoyed the video and project.
Very skillful work!
Wow! These are all so cool! Thank you for the tutorial. I've never made a toy like this so I'll attempt one with cardboard 😊
Sir , you are geneous ! 😇
Thanks ! for this creativity 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
MAGNIFICENT !!!!!!!!
Simple and effective. Something we can make at home. I will try making one from clay and cardboard.
A very enjoyable video! It's all very good but I think my favourite part is the shape of the pages of the book. And the music is well chosen - incidentally, can you remember the name and performers of the jazz guitar number which starts at about 2:18? Thanks so much, this is great fun!
Hi! Thank you 😊 It’s a stock music for video maker, I have downloaded it from epidemicsound website
Your videos and pieces are wonderful. I wish there was less music so we can hear your voice better.
wonderful and wonderful. darling and i must learn to type stoccafisso design.
Hermoso
Less gooooo!!
Thank you so much! Easy to explain 🎉
This is so nice! I love this series of How To videos.
What wood do you use?
Это сосна
This is beautiful! What kind of wood do you use? It seems like it’s pretty soft.
Thank you 😊 I use fir wood
Thanks for sharing your wonderful work and process! Magical and inspiring!
Can you please share the brand of the band saw you use? Thanks!
Thank you 😊 the brand is Compa. it is not a quality tool, I bought it years ago in a large hardware store, paying little for it. it does its job, but it's not very accurate
@@stoccafissodesign2569 Thanks!
Beautiful artwork. What kind of wood do you use? Stunning. Bravo
Thank you! I use fir wood
very entertaining, also question, with the sanding what happens if you accidentally touch the belt while its going??
Nothing serious, because is not very sharp, I touch it every day for error 😂 just some little scratch, but be careful, when the belt is new it is very dangerous, but I keep the belt for many months before changing it
😀
Where can I find those white glue in the video😢PLEASE!they look sooo handy
Congrats! Beautiful! Do you ever use wax to help gears move easily?
no because oil and wax make the wood swell slightly and increase its adherence, I use solid soap or paraffin
@@stoccafissodesign2569 Good to know!! I use wax for my closet drawers, so there's where my question comes from!! Keep them coming!! Beautiful work!!
soon I will make a video with some tricks and materials for wooden mechanisms!
@@stoccafissodesign2569 That is very kind of you!! do you come from a woodworking Family? My Dad was a "do-it-yourselfer", so I paid attention and fell in love with woodworking, but somehow making little objects has always been an entertainment for me. Now that I'm retiring, I want to focus on that!! Thanx again!! You have a new Fan!!
no, my father is a photographer, therefore always in the artistic field, but other material. I taught myself how to work wood. I have had a small woodworking shop for about 10 years, and now I make mechanical toys full time.
Can it be made with cardboard?😅
Do you use watercolours or acrylic paint?
Acrilic paint, but water color is good
Where can I find those white glue in the video😢PLEASE!they look sooo handy
