Sailing from Oban to Barra on CalMac’s MV Isle of Lewis

Filmed in the summer of 2021, this video details the trip from Oban on the Scottish Mainland to Barra in the Outer Hebrides.

Isle of Lewis one of my fave Calmac ships. Beautiful small island Barra with lovely beaches and short hop to Eriskay and causeway to Vatersay. 40 minutes on plane to Glasgow.

Barra really is a beautiful island, all the locals made us fell very welcome. The flight home taking off from the beach was also pretty special!

Hopefully I'll be making a trip to Barra and Lochboisdale next year, getting the MV Isle of Lewis to Castlebay and getting the MV Lord of the Isles back from Lochboisdale.
