Less than a week left to win one of two Honda Silverwings or an ex-military HumVee! Whoever wins I'll fly you down and you'll get to ride it back home on your own sketchy adventure! 100% of proceeds go to benefit Forgotten Angels rafflecreator.com/pages/47938/one-incredible-humvee-plus-a-$100000-gas-card
if your ever in Oregon you should ride through John Day and ride through the Fossil beds up to Mitchell Or. Great ride and the country looks like something out of an old western movie. And actually some of it is. Many older films were done in that area.
I live 20 min from durango. We ride the million dollar highway all the time. Hour you enjoyed it.
I was on the livestream last night and tried three times to say hello but you did not see, I even post a bunch of motes you may need new glasses? Suggestion you, bilbo and the degenerate bilbo gang do a 👻hunt!!!
I tried to find the Honda shirt in the site and ?
@@engir63 the Honda shirt is only available if you buy a hundred dollars worth of raffle tickets. I believe

It might not be this way for many people but after driving 18 wheels, fully loaded from right to left coast and northern to southern borders for a couple decades, the mountains are candy for my eyes. Not so much in the snow, torrential rain or the dead of night but they break up the monotony of the road and familiar sights and bring a calming effect by witnessing something so real and primal. They let you know immediately how small we are and how timeless they are.
Love watching these videos Josh, everyone should see America once in their life with their own eyes in that environment to appreciate what we have available to us everyday.
Thanks Josh, your videos have put me back on a motorcycle after 35 yrs, and given me the motivation to pass my skills test, and ride longer distances than i normally would have! At 60 yrs old, I needed all the encouragement I could get.
And oh by the way, its an 82 Silverwing.
A whole hour of visual foreplay and vicarious motogasim. In a word... a banger!
Thank you.
In high school, we rode a school bus over that pass from Durango in winter during storms. It was scary, but we always made it. Props to our La Plata County bus drivers.
I imagine most of the accidents on that road is caused by people staring at the beautiful scenery. They say you go where you are looking lol
Ya do realize, Josh, that most gas stations still have these old-fashioned navigational aids for sale... they call them "maps". 🤔
Speaking of those; I just bought a road atlas for the U.S.! Woo-Hoo!
I heard they use to print maps onto paper
"Maps" huh, is this new tech? Like outside app that's kinda overrated. 😆
Boomer 😁
Believe it or not I am actually old enough to know how to use a paper map, but also dumb enough to forget to grab one 😂
I haven’t seen a road better than that. You and Chey look like your in a blissful state . Thanks as always for the content. No bullshit no product ads… just two people sharing their lives.
Thanks for being real, that is gone from just about everything else!
I loved Cheylessi tutorial ..loved seeing your view of the same situation..both of you are hard Core! Rock on and keep it weird!
I love watching videos with riders enjoying the state I live in. It's like seeing the beauty again for the first time. I've had 20 years of it 🤘
I've just got to say that your use of "Bloody Tears" from Simon's Quest is so perfect. It may be my favorite piece of classic game score.
I loved million dollar highway. and I went back on another trip and did it again. I think Beartooth is still my favorite. But there’s so many that are great in their own way. There’s a lot of first place trophies being handed out for roads in this country.
You and Ed M win the trophy for largest collection of deeply inspiring dumb idea videos. LOVE!
*_Awesome Ride thanks for bringing us along. Loved it._*
Did that ride several times!
Ouray is beautiful!
Welcome to Colorado, Josh. I’ve been here 20 years and no, the views never get old
The whole time I’m listening to you like “wow” just in awe of it… I’m like “just wait buddy”
There are two wolves inside me... both want beef jerky.
I love cheys face when she knows she's going for a sketchy ride ear to ear baby
Did the million dollar highway from Grand Junction to Durango a year ago in August and it was awesome thank you.
Love how two baby wings are heros makes for one great story in this world of 'newwer is better'. A statement towards getting out there and get'ner done. Good for both of you and thanks for sharing.
Thank you for your love for family. We Love Chetleesi and know She is in good hands. Please never let Her down.
"Use the camera in your head." The camera in my head: Error: memory corrupted.
Years back I had to drive a truck the back way into Colorado Springs.
Started outside Radium on roads clutched to the mountainsides like badly stitched seams in threadbare cloth. Made my way to I-70 over roads pretty as a picture. Through the Eisenhower tunnel only to find the first sleet turning to snow outside Breckenridge. Winding my way over the passes to the south, I descended into the central plateu of Colorado I'd never heard spoken of. This big eerie bowl was fenced with snow-capped ridges, carpeted in farms, and domed with storms. It was like where I come from in Kansas minus the wide sky. It was odd. I'd clambered over the Great Divide to get there only to find a scattering of ranchers eyeing my truck with suspicion. The Man In Black would have been crucified by the Children of the Corn had I stuck around to observe.
Heading east again into dense forests, now burned to the earth in recent years, there was out the left side of the cab the most active thunderstorm I'd ever seen, and out the right side a clear vault of stars. The moon had been lighted, and hung in a tree. From frenetic energy to stately peace in the roll of the eyes.
One of these days I'll have to retrace this path. Once I summited the pass, I didn't touch the gas till I coasted through Colorado Springs. By this time the clouds closed in to create the blackest of nights. Homesteads to either side dotted the dark hulk of mountains. It was like descending into Mordor.
Finally parked the truck on the Southside of the Springs. Hopped into the crew truck for the ride back to Kansas. And all the old aches, and all the old fears settled upon me. Left Colorado behind, and I returned five years later to stay minus a wife and my hopes to show this splendid place to her.
Beautiful vid, I figure the camera doesn't do it justice. Thanks for taking us along for the ride
Amazing footage! Thank You for bringing us along. One thing always used in the Goldwing club, was a good old Garmin. Never let you down. Thanks Harry
"Two 40 year old motorcycles 4000 Miles Across America, what could go wrong"
lol 🤣 I promise you that if I ever have a bad long ride as I'm stranded on the side of the road, I'm gonna imagine a bracelet saying ((WHAT WOULD SHADETREE SURGEON DO)) 😆👍
Josh I wish I had an uncle like you. You treat shy more than a father than an uncle. Would love to meet you someday. Take care.
Been waiting for this video since you mentioned going on the Shovelhead. Took this ride back in June with 3 other friends and the adrenaline was pumping pretty good at speed through those switchbacks on an old Vulcan Classic. Can't wait to do it again but you can only do it the first time once. I'll always treasure those memories.
Fond memories sitting in Durango on my Yamaha 36 years ago waiting for the weather to clear before going up the million dollar highway
I honestly love his videos. I’d like to think that Chet is sitting there listening to him go on and on with his wise sayings through the intercom (they probably don’t have) lol
Sorry about not making the live premiere. Glad to see everyone is having a great time. 🧡Oh yeah my stickers came, thanks! Alot of cool plant stickers on the outside of the envelope!
Rode it last Friday, what a trip. So beautiful and a crazy road.
The Million Dollar Highway is a must ride. Slow, fast, cruiser, sportbike, anything in between ride it, it's worth it.
very awesome country and so fortunate to expirence it when you did that golden light that golden company straight out of a 1970"s TV comercial for Honda. Very touching Big brother
Watching y'all's trip is so exciting and beautiful ❤️! Excellent 😊 video
The ff7 win theme in the background when you hit pavement was the icing on the cake
What I learnt very quickly on that sort of road in Switzerland is that enjoying the road to its fullest & enjoying the view to its fullest simultaneously requires a skill level far higher than mine!
Million dollar highway and Telluride a must see. Monument valley also nearby as well
As 4 corners.
Love million dollar highway. Took a vacation there at the end of season with thinner crowds and then went west to Moab and Arches. So good for the soul.
Do we need to take up a collection for a new set of sweet rainbow gloves? You need that left thumb to work on those bikes.
Glad you got to see Ouray and Red Mountain pass. Such a beautiful trip. I make that trip regularly and it still blows my mind. Youre an inspiration... i look forward to numbing my ass next riding season in these hills
I've ridden the Million Dollar Highway twice and never hit dirt. I thought it was one single road, so not sure where you found a dirt road in there - but glad you had a chance to experience it. Fantastic road. In addition to the Million Dollar Highway - here are some of my favorite roads for your next trip out to the western U.S.
1. Pacific Coast Highway through Big Sur and into Monterey.
2. Highway 89A from Prescott, AZ through Jerome and Sedona to Flagstaff.
3. Highway 9 between Springdale, UT - and Mt. Carmel Jct, UT - through Zion National Park.
4. Highway 12 - from 89 in UT until you get tired of it....just keep going (Bryce, Escalante....).
5. 101 along the Oregon Coast (Astoria all the way to Brookings!!).
6. Yosemite - which you mentioned in your video.
7. Hwy 191 from Morenci, AZ to Springerville, AZ (the Devil's Highway) - fuel up before you start because it's 90+ miles without any services/gas.
Montana is a category all by itself. We did the Iron Butt from Phoenix to Butte and then spent several days riding around Montana and can't even begin to scratch the surface on the rides there. Someone below mentioned Beartooth. All kinds of beautiful rides around Yellowstone and Glacier. The west is amazingly vast and full of great rides.
I rode through Yosemite. We had lunch then almost fell asleep on 88. I slammed a energy drink in Markleeville then went home via ebbetts pass. I was all thinking I can just rest my eyes on the straight away. Then I almost screamed at myself “I’m on a motorcycle what the hell am I thinking”. Now I’m careful who I ride with.
My grandpa was a hard rock miner in silverton Colorado if you get a chance to visit longer there is a bunch of history there
I could watch this for days!! Now i have time, winter is coming
Looks like an awesome ride y’all had.
Next summer, try Mount Evans. Highway paved road in the US and sketchy as fuuuuu, especially on a motorcycle. No guard rails, buckled pavement and parts of the road have fallen down the cliffs. Still one of my favorite rides though. Also, if you do get the dirtster out here, take the MDH to Blackbear pass. That’ll put some hair on your chest.
Ok, great advice concerning the “million mile” whatever. I’m thinking it will always be an epic adventure. Cheers Josh, you inspire many, I like that about you. 👍🏼 😎 🇺🇸 🌎
Growing up and riding around Colorado you find every Road in the mountains is a great Road. Can't wait to see your reaction to riding down the 70. It has really great views but it's really weird riding with traffic going the opposite way directly above you because the past is too narrow for you to be side by side lol. A really fun place to ride is around Horsetooth Reservoir in Northern Colorado. It has a twisty road that runs completely around the lake. The only straight part is across the dam everything else is 15 to 25 miles an hour with an ungodly amount of tight corners have fun stay safe can't wait for the next video
Hi this Lou in AZ. Love what you do. Couldn’t be prouder of you if you were my own grandkids. Keep up the good work! 💓
I enjoyed this video.
Durango to Silverton, you'd say "not so dangerous", I'd think, "just wait". leaving Silverton, "not so dangerous", I'd think "just wait". Then you got to the dangerous shelf road part, where falling rocks are known to take people out, and what do you do? You grabbed your camera and start filming while riding with one hand, Impressive! Great video, really captured the ride beautifully.
Only disappointment, you didn't stop at the Ouray (your ray) Brewery, and down a Ouray Blonde on the roof. The coolest view anywhere on earth.
Thanks for the video, Great Job!!!!
Hey I am so proud of both of you guys especially Chey it's hard to drive that length all those miles it would have taken me 3 months LOL but really I really am proud of you guys great job
The Million Dollar Highway is definitely on my shortlist of rides. I am hoping to get over there next summer.
The San Juan Skyway is a great one as well
Ok watching you and Chei crossing the country. My family is from Longview WA. About 50 miles north of Portland on I-5. I've run the million $ hi way, RT 66, ft 666, did those on a 78 750 Bonnie and a 1976 iron head. Loved it. On a 07 Sporty now, of course I'm 64 now also. Thinking of moving wife and me to FL.
They call those wild dogs "Rez Dogz" the dogs that guard the reservation
Best day at work ever. Ride hard die free enjoy every mile greeting from Oklahoma City.
absolutly bueatifull series . just loving this man
Definitely an inspiration shadetree. Would love to take a ride with you some day
Back in the old days we had these things we called Maps I believe they still sell them at the major gas stations at the state lines
Great ride looks awsome feels like i was there. My rideing days are over. I still ride through you and chay thanks
if you live in Florida - a 100ft hill is amazing - so the west coast and Colorado would blow yer mind
your trips inspire me to get to the point I can road trip. :)
That hwy is amazing. We hit on our US50 trip from Indiana to Las Vegas
I have ridden the Million Dollar Highway twice well worth it both times. You should have taken Highway 50 east bound from Montrose towards Colorado Springs and then ridden up towards Breckinridge much nicer ride than going into grand junction.
41:46 Sounds like George Jetson's anti grav bike. Lol
Rode the million dollar highway back in June. It's jaw dropping views around every corner. Did you stop at the waterfall before coming into Ouray? Great video.
I don't know why, but this is the best video I have ever seen of yours. Long, yes. But it is very entertaining. Loved it! ps. I've already bought $100 of chances for helping the Forgotten Angel young men.
You rock man!
Love the FF music at 13:30. great video as always.
Loving the dark tower references!
WHY I LOVE A PAPER MAP///LOL...PART OF THE ADVENTURE!!
Good times!!
👍🐾🍻
Awesome video and awesome content can’t wait for the next video Thank’s Josh and Chey
For the night is dark and full of terrors lol
Every twisty road Is a great roads to ride.
Sunday funday with the Shadetree Army!!!
Where you are going up saying the road is not super narrow, I was heading down that one winter in my '77 Lincoln Continental and the right lane was covered with a recent avalanche. There was a beer truck coming up that I had to beat because I didn't think I could safely stop. Thought my mom was going to be proven right that beer would be the death of me that day. That "short tunnel" you go through later was specifically placed there because rock slides and avalanches kept covering the road there.
I'm bummed I missed you guys coming through my state. You missed some KILLER breweries in Palosade and even Grand Junction. Maybe next time my dude.
29:03 It almost looks like the same view used during the opening credits of Sam Elliot and Ashton Kutcher's show "The Ranch"
Ouray and the Million Dollar Hwy is my Favorite
Just so's you know; Kansas City BBQ is great on both the KS and MO side of the border. Rode there this summer just to eat from WI.
next time your in my hood , Crested Butte co. I would love to show ya around
love the million dollar ride... a lot of great passes on the western slope. I used to drive down to purgatory to ski when in HS. amazing views for certain.Durango 4 Corners rally is a hoot too. check it out. Cheers! and I finally got my order! Glad you had a great time. the HWY 50 closure is a major pain for all of us...
4:53 The moon and the cloud looks like a dragon...
As beautiful as Silverton was coming in, you gotta swing in around Jan/Feb. I recomend not being on a motorcycle though. Back when I was on 18 wheels, i delivered groceries from Amarillo TX up to Silverton. Hands down, my favorite route.
Wow. Your making me miss living there. I was in the San Luis Valley. Where the Rockies meet the 🏜. Million dollar hwy is on my bucket lust
Spent 5 years In Colorado rode all over but never rode that hwy the whole time, just didn't get the time to make the trip. One day though I'll go back and nock that one off the list.
Over Labor Day weekend, I rode with 3 friends from Denver to the 4 Corners Rally. We basically did a square around the SW corner of the state (the most beautiful part of Colorado). The Million Dollar Highway was not as fun as I expected. The lack of guard rails and the giant dropoffs made it difficult to look around at the most beautiful views in the state. The road itself, however, was a killer ride. But the danger factor is real for that entire stretch from Ouray to Siverton.
Not to repeat my self but damn Josh another great vid . I have grown bored of many you tubers , but I enjoy you and Chey’s adventures!
I grew up in Cortez, million dollar highway is one of the most beautiful rides ever
Why don’t you have a Siena unit for communications?
Great reference to one of the best fantasy epics ever! Watch out for Lobstrocities!!
Phantom Canyon Road between Canon City and Victor is super cool if you are in the area.
Chey should start a diary of places she road on a motorcycle.
You have to ride Beartooth Pass (wy/mt) or glacier np.
I got to ride the million dollar highway after going to Stergis .. trip of a lifetime 👍👍we did over 9000 miles round trip 21 days. The view never got old.
One of my dreams is to attend the Great American Beer Festival and later rent bikes and ride around the state. Maybe I'll see you on the road one day.
The Man in Black u mean VonGasphalt 😂
I drove over th million dollar highway... in a loaded 18 wheeler. I was trying to avoid going 250 miles out of th way. It didn't save me any time, it actually took longer. But I did learn a lesson...
Every once in awhile you watch a video on CZcams and you wish you were there 🇺🇲♥️
I wish I was riding along with y'all ♥️🇺🇲♥️
Love from DeKalb Mississippi USA 🇺🇲
What a horrible night to have a curse
I love the Rockies man 🤙🏼love the travel videos! Keep giving shit away man good vibes 🙌🏼 good cause
The mountains that look like sand dune are old volcano ash, 20 to 50 million year old ash.
