    What rangefinder do you use?

    How do you know the Bushnell slope is correct? Not much of a experiment

    I grew up looking for 200/150/100 markers on the course and walking the distance. The rangefinders are fun to use, but once you start, you need to use only your rangefinder distances and not rely on your buddies, different brand, rangefinder. I find mine is usually a yard or 2 different from some of the pricier units. That said, I'm not good enough to hit my ball 102 yards vs 100 yards. But I'll get close! LOL! I'm using a Precision Pro Slope 9 right now.

    Thanks for your honesty Andrew. Makes your product reviews something I can truly believe. I've never played in an official tournament but out of habit, our foursome never turns on slope. I wish I had seen this a month ago as I purchased the Nikon Coolshot Pro II and while it is on the pricey side, it is a pretty awesome range finder. The stabilization it has built into it is pretty cool and really helps on the back nine after 4 beers. =)

    I have the blue tees 2 pro max and love it. I have considered geting the 3 cause the picture is clearer, the zoom is better, and the quik on off slope switch is nice. When it comes to other range finders ive never seen 2 give the same number even when from the same brand.

    I recently purchased the Blue Tees Max3 and am really enjoying it. My debate when purchasing was I still have a 20 year old Bushnell that I purchased for hunting that still works great, for the technology at the time. I’m not so sure that the Blue Tees model may last as long, but for the price difference I decided to give it a try. My biggest worry is that the battery compartment isn’t sealed well compared to my old Bushnell.

    Just got the blue tees 3 max. Haven't had a chance to use it yet. I know the bushnell is high end, but I'm curious as to how you know which of the two is right if either regarding slope? I mean, it is possible that the blue tees was the more accurate of the two? Thanks for the video. The 1% difference in accuracy vs the price difference for me was an easy choice.

    I use a cheap Bushnell Prime. Mainly a hunting model but works great for golf while being a backup for the treestand in the fall.

    Quality video. Like everyone else is saying, that 1-2 yard difference wont really change the avg golfer's decision on what to do in that scenario. As a broke college student I love it

    Great vid!!! Is 1% of slope a full club difference? For 99.9% of golf players doesn't matter if slope measurement is 1% off. On the other hand if you get paid to play golf a different story. Thanks

    How do we know the Bushnell was actually 100% accurate? Could that one be a little off too? I would almost venture to say they could both be a tad bit off.🧐

  • @tonypapas9854
    @tonypapas9854 Před rokem +1

    Appreciate the honest feedback. 90+% of golfers could use this. WAY too many golfers have an overinflated opinion of their game - they just aren't good enough where 1% is going to make any difference. You can also try to find used Bushnell units if that's the only brand you trust.

    I owned this RF for about 6mo (before losing it) and an important thing to mention is this: if you live in a state with any marine layer or frequent mist/fog, this RF is not helpful at all, it doesn’t work (for even the lightest layer where the pin doesn’t seem to be impacted on your line of sight). My buddy and I purchased this for a golf trip and it was useless. Other RFs also have this issue - and it’s important to note that blue tees never said it would work in a marine layer, they also don’t say it won’t - but there are some absolutely awesome RFs available (even used) for good pricing without this issue. It’s an otherwise super nice value product with great features. Cheers AJ, great content as always 🥃

    How do you feel about watches as it relates to yardages? Can you do a comparison if you haven’t already?

    • @andrewjensengolf
      @andrewjensengolf  Před rokem

      Watches/GPS are great but lack the fine tuned precision of the yardage to the pin. Front/middle/back numbers are very helpful but there still is guesswork involved which doesn’t help confident decision making (in my opinion)

    How do you not know if your bushnell is off and not the blue tee?

    • @andrewjensengolf
      @andrewjensengolf  Před 10 měsíci +1

      Exactly. But in the game, there’s one brand that is used by almost everyone so that would be the best guess at a “standard” to base all comparison off

  • @goodboyp4261
    @goodboyp4261 Před 5 měsíci +1

    Just to let everyone know, when you are using different range finders, you will always get 1 or 2° off even if you have the same brand but different models, you will still get 1 or 2° off.
    You can always test 2 of the big brands and see for yourself..

    Why did you assume that the Bushnell was the one that was more accurate?

    • @andrewjensengolf
      @andrewjensengolf  Před 11 měsíci +1

      I’m comparing it to the “standard” in the game, the one that has the most marketing and pedigree behind it for most golfers to think it would be the most accurate, thus the assumption

    I have the blue tees range finder and honestly, I'm not impressed with it at all. I have been using it for about 4 months now and have had to replace the battery twice. Half the time it doesn't work and i have to toggle the slope switch off and on a couple times to reset it, so that it reads correctly. Don't waste you money on blue tees.
