FLIGHT SAFETY. no apology required. If it can't be secured under the seat or in the overhead compartments, it gets secured as luggage. Aircraft emergencies have made the standards and policies.
If you paid for the seat, they have no right to remove it. If you didn’t pay for the seat, they have every right to give it to a paying customer.
she had it in a bag that was too big for the plane. they gave her a heavy plastic bag to protect the case it was in. they dont do that for my leather suitcase
Your ceremonial items aren’t that special to anyone else, nor should you expect them to be. If travelling with that item if so important to you, get a custom made case to protect it so it can be in the luggage compartment.
It was too big for the cabin. Federal regulations require it to be stored safely, just like every other piece of cargo/luggage. So the crew wrapped the container in plastic to prevent it getting dirty/wet while carefully carrying it to the hold. Not everything is about 'muh oppression'. Grow up.
Then they could have easily asked HER to move it no?
@@xXSPADEGG like, down into the hold? Only crew can go outside the aircraft and do that
It wasn't bigger than a carry-on bag and weighed way less.
@@xXSPADEGG no. her bag was too big so she had to check it. that is how it works on planes. they put it in a plastic bag to protect the case it was in. nothing wrong here at all, just another indian playing the victim card
@@satinkaschilling5221 too big for that plane.
its a big ass headdress, they put it in a plastic bag so it didnt get dirty. shes trippin over nothing.
Sorry I’m. Confused…where exactly does it go? It’s own seat?
Pay for the seat if not don't make a fuss
I cannot bring a fully packed Hockey bag , which ive attributed with sacred status, on an airplane.
Id like some attention please.
hockey pads that’s smell like unwashed ass are sacred to you? that speaks volumes about your lifestyle 🤢
More virtue signalling
I don't care about your headdress.
Did she pay for the seat the headdress was occupying? I think it would make a difference.
Absolutely not, that’s what makes it outrageous.
She? no. Taxpayers? Well.
@@YardPrep00your ignorance shows, taxpayer money doesn't go to our chiefs. Smh
@@TJayden under the Indian Act, the Federal government funds many 1st Nations across the country. That money can be used for the salary of band councils, so ya, Tax $ pay for some Chiefs.
@@darex0827 I'll reword myself, you're not false about the government sending the money yes but the money itself does not come from the taxpayers and if it does that's a corrupt government as the money that pays for all indigenous programming is paid for through the natural resources of Canada
Hey everyone look at the victim👉 she's a victim everyone, and she wants you to know that.
Nothing to learn. It's not discrimination. Don't make a big deal out of nothing.
Oh the perpetual victim strikes again
Too tall for the plane... they tried to store it safely for her. Invented outrage ... because, you know... "special (preferred) groups"
She's one tenth Indian....
Looks like she's got a little Scotch in her too.
What’s the big deal?
Any excuse to get some attention....they really thing they're special.
@@deanl6613 and $$$$
Insert eyeroll
Well she can pay for another and pit it on the seat then if not in the luggage it goes ur no more special than anyone else… everyone wants to be an exception today thats the probleme
This isn’t news
Bringing entitlement to a new level. Why not acknowledge airplane regulations?
Their land their rules
@@gagan77100except it’s not
@@gagan77100 definitely not their land.
@@gagan77100Their land had no functional airports or planes. Maybe she can use their traditional method of transport instead? Horses? IDK what they had. All this advancement was not done by them

Sorry but do others get that special treatment,
Nothing is more important than a woman's feelings. Dontchaknow
Of course not.
@@JJ-Toreddie oh not all women. just the special indian women who throw a fit over nothing
India is over there. >>>
Did she pay for the extra seat??
Then wear it.
No one is above the law or regulation. if your item is too big for storing in cabin you should check the luggage. It has nothing to do with respect, simple as that.
This is why planes are becoming more dangerous. DEI over safety.
Get6 over it pls
If they didnt wrap it in plastic and it got dirty thst would have been another big deal. Get off the plane and mount your horse.
it was in a suitcase and they wrapped the suit case in plastic. they dont do that to my luggage when it is too big for the cabin
I guess they just roll their eyes
Walk or ride a horse.
What part of "their" culture is air travel?
@@daleweiss9507 we brought them horses. They had not even invented the wheel when we got here.
Boo hoo, everyone wants to cry for attention these days, give it up
Time to play "United breaks guitars" again and remind them that some carry ons are not baggage.
She ain’t no Indigenous
You want special treatment?
You didn't say if she bought an extra seat for it?
This will increase her monthly government cheque
Jealous???????
@@kellymcginnis6773yes we are....for once we want to be useless lazy bums living off the Canadian taxpayers backs. Soaking up free monies on out dated made up outrage. I want to play the victim card for a few hundred years while being a drain on society!
What a TWT lol
Could you imagine the back lash if air Canada made Indians remove their turbans. Now do you see the confusion, indian feather headdresses , Indian Turbans? You tell me .
This is a problem?
I would get out and ask for a refund if someone brings onboard such a monstrosity. AC did the right thing.
Too big ...that's the rules for everyone😮
Hmm.. did she call in advance to ask for some sort accommodation for it? I'm very much in favour of supporting indigenous lives but i need more information about this.
Everyone has to follow the rules
Shallow person already warped by the importance of her position as “National Chief”.
Entitled or what? Geesh.
Next time I take a flight I’m bringing my oversized tinfoil hat as I’m a conspiracy theorist and the airline better bend the rules and accommodate my needs!
This is covered by national news as some kind of insult when all that was done was Comply with protocol and follow the rules. It is a clear example of just how much the MSN of this country follows liberal think and not anything remotely neutral, critical or common sense.
How is this news? Either pay for the seat or have it put under the plane. Airline should stop being soft and apologize to absolutely nobody.
The queen of Canada, this place is finished😂
Looks like it would fit in the overhead, or a paid seat 💺. Other than that it’s finally up to the Captain 🧑✈️, he or she has the ultimate say (airline policy is a sujestive to the Captains authority)
No respect today
Air Canada sucks
Occupy Dash-8?
What a shallow complaint. Maybe it was so important it should have been moved up into the cockpit.
How disgraced
As an American I want to keep Canada safe. I'd support building a wall along the border.
It should be in its own pelican protective case with the rest of the cargo under the plane. End of story.
This is a flight safety issue not a religious one. If the intel cannot be stored under the seat or in an overhead bin you need to check it in for storage under the plane. You cannot keep it on a seat even if it’s secured with a seatbelt.
Boo-Hoo
Next time she'll pack her canoe and row all the way to Fredericton.
Enough already.
not a garbage bag.
Another special customer who was looking for special treatment, whinned and got it.
That headdress is extra..
Entitled much?
I think this is like drug uses and sleeping in the park
Stop fly Air Canada
Stop flying period.
Get over yourself, if it cant be secured then it gets removed, your not special

Got through customs 😅😅😅😅😅😅sue thefreaks
I got one just like it.
They tried doing this to me with my family bible that is 150 years old.
😭😭😭😭😂😂😂😂😂😂
Complete crap. Random-ass brides carry their wedding dresses as a carry on and I’ve even seen flight attendants Stowe it in a safe staff area. Staff treated this National leader with incredible disrespect by arguing ignorantly and removing it. Treat leaders with the importance of their voted position. This isn’t a parcel, and this isnt a regular customer. So proud of the many passengers who tried to intervene on Air Canada staff being embarrassingly biased.
BULLCRAP. Her bag was too big to fit in the plane. She was not disrespected. She acted like an entitled indian and gets NO sympathy from me. Getting tired of the indians making a stink over nothing.
It would be AirCanada......... Shame
Hihowareya, hihowareya, hihowareya
🤣😂🤣😂😂🤣😂🤣😂don’t forget the Tom toms!!!
How awful. Air Canada again, almost always something.....
are you able to think? she brought a bag on the plane that was too big for the plane. she had to have it checked. like any other person. she made a stink over nothing.
stop apologizing, make some actual staff changes, AIr Canada you are truly pathetic
Okay , it's wrong for them to remove anybody's stuff from the plane , but by what standard it is this woman an American Indian... I don't know if she has ever seen an Indian.... But she ain't one...
she isnt american. she is canadian but it isnt wrong to make her check an over sized bag. she was acting like an entitled brat which is getting pretty common in canada with the indians
Why the apology Air Canada. Tell this entitled grifter to FO.
Stop pouting crybaby 😭
THANK YOU for common sense.
What do you expect. It's Air Canada. They are the worst air line in the world.
Follow the rules or find suitable alternative transportation. Safety rules are for everyone.
