It’s been a good 3 months since my bricks and pieces order came for this. I’ve only now just discovered I’m missing over half the pieces. Brilliant
You know what, that's exactly what happened with my original order! I neglected to check if it was the rest of the pieces needed. And it wasn't. I Bricklinked the rest/a friend sent them to me and then here came this tutorial. ✅
But yep I hope you can get the rest of the pieces you need 👍🏼
@@sonicelectro47 I have fairly good news in that I’ve scavenged for parts and managed to make a no closing one. I even removed the hinge pieces so it’s significantly more displayable. The idea of the opening doors will be missed tho.
@@James_Lo: That sounds like a pretty good compromise! And hey, even though it's without any opening door function for display or play yet, at least you've got a design solution where you can be happy to display it =)
I wonder, depending on how you've built the box, have you chosen to use solid white bricks for the windows & "Pull to open" sign? So you can spare some dark blues elements and maybe return the hinges.
@@sonicelectro47 my issue was in those modified 1x1s with the panels on them not being included in my order. Everything looks completely proper from the outside. I’ve been thinking about a brick built way to do the windows for months now, sadly can’t think of one. The sticker sheet just got back in stock and has been ordered, I wish firestar toys or someone like that would do prints for the 1x1 pieces but this is the best we’ve got I guess.
I just bought all the bricks and stickers cause I've always wanted a more minifig scale box than the ideas set (also I was a dumb idiot kid and mistreated the ideas set, couldn't find 90% of the set but am salvaging the hinges for this build)
Oh nice, good for you there! The Dimensions model is great to have it be 1:1 with a fig, despite having the roof signage placed across multiple bricks (which will be fine if it doesn't bother you).
I am sorry about your IDEAS copy; I hope you still have all your figs complete from it.
And it's good how you used parts from that TARDIS for your new minifig-scale one =)

My fav Lego build is probably this one it even better than the one in the doctor who set since the boor epic
I really like this build too for it being the right size alongside other characters. Hopefully they can make more Doctor Who sets like a massive TARDIS display with interior.

Ah yep, it’s meant to be dark blue like the piece colour, though it’s a little light.

when i built it the pillar was too tall
Oh, you mean the pillar inside?
I’m not sure but you might have an extra stud used. If it’s the the blue studs, there’s meant to be 6 of them stacked in the pillar.
