    As someone who's designing their own machine that's based on the PrintNC this is a very useful video! Thanks!

    Wow! This looks WAY better of a design than when I built mine like a year or two ago. Amazing evolution in the pro design now.

    Love those new X mounts. So sturdy looking. Nice job on the build.

    Hi Sebastian good to see another PrintNC PRO owner builder your machine ticks a lot of boxes, just saw you assembling the alloy gantry risers and recognized you machine from the discord small world, nice build mate keep up the good work Cheers Bill

    Супер! Отличная идея. Эти детали из алюминия можно продавать для самостоятельной сборки. Желающих будет много.

    Hi Sebastian, did you not use a lower support block on your z axis at all? Makes sense I guess as its a ver short ball screw supported by the ball nut. This would definitely save some room. Was wondering how it worked out for you considering this is how you left it.

    Awesome redesign! Thank you for sharing this time lapse. I would very much like to build the mini version. Will be grateful if you could share a link of any drawings of the all metal version.

    Built a full size one eh?! You must be planning ng on staying in the states for awhile then?

    Looks great and cuts great! What endmills are you using?

    • @SebastianMusser

      Mostly bits from dreanique / aliexpress. The bits I use most are 6mm 1F and 6mm 3 F DLC coated cutters

    That is one beautiful machine! Do you think it’s rigid enough to cut mild steel parts?

    • @SebastianMusser
      @SebastianMusser  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Yes, I think that’s absolutely possible. Maybe i try it this week and post another video :)

    I want to build exactly this. Is there a place to buy the upgraded gantry mounts and motor mounts?

    • @SebastianMusser
      @SebastianMusser  Před měsícem

      @@FractalWorkshop hit me up in the PrintNC discord. You can’t buy these parts, but you can get the cad files to make them on your own

    I was just about to order my kit with a 4in wide gantry when I ran across your video. I like that the stepper motors and ball screws are mounted on the sides and not on the top as the original plans specified. Are there drawings available for the X gantry mounts or were they purchased?

    • @SebastianMusser
      @SebastianMusser  Před 5 měsíci +2

      Nothing is purchased. It’s all made on my printnc mini. Visit us via discord. There are some CAD files available

    Hi @Sebastianmusser. I've been looking through the Discord for the F3D file for the PrintNC Pro, but I can only find the V4 version. Could you please point me to where I can find this file or share the one you are using?

    awesome build! Gave me some things to think about for mine! What do you think so far?

    • @SebastianMusser

      I did not really cut a lot with it yet because I had to build an enclosure first , but so far I love it.

    Do you some how flatten steel tubing before placing rails, or just put rail on tube without preparation of surface?

    • @SebastianMusser
      @SebastianMusser  Před 5 měsíci

      I checked the steel for flatness and it was very good. Therefore I just put the rails on.

      @@SebastianMusser do you check the resulted flatness level of CNC after milling some parts? The order of the numbers: 0.1mm greater or lesser for work area.

    Is there any reason why you didn’t go for mirror finish on your parts?

    • @SebastianMusser
      @SebastianMusser  Před 5 měsíci +1

      Well, the printnc mini wasn’t perfectly trammed when I did the parts. And as it was freezing cold in my garage when I cut the parts, i just wanted the job done.

    • @arbjful
      @arbjful Před 5 měsíci

      @@SebastianMusser will these imperfections show even after powder coating the part? I an asking cause my parts have similar linear markings ( but they are smooth to the touch). I could do a fine finish, but it takes a very long time

    • @SebastianMusser
      @SebastianMusser  Před 5 měsíci

      I think this depends on how accurate you tram your machine, the stepover you use etc, how sharp your tools are... etc
