Amazing how no matter what decade you are in, the experiences of what is communicated in songs like this applies to situations of today. 30+ years later still applies. Even my children who are teenagers listen to this and say...I understand what is going on. suggestion, do not force your kids to listen, just start cooking in the kitchen and play some of your old stuff and watch their reaction....it is priceless!!!

What's so crazy is that me and a fellow shipmate were jamming up to cousins and this song came on so I asked the one my friend was feeling for a dance and the rest is history! She said she was glad I made that decision to ask for that dance. Hard to believe it's been nearly 37 years! A lot has happened in that time but one is the same, good music that makes the memories sweet!

All time classic, poetic, ballad, and R&B masterpiece/masterclass song of love!
