The most common issue is steering speed due to different platforms and input devices, this was setup using an Xbox1 controller, if you are using any other type of input then you will need to adjust the steering ratio and/or input settings to ensure you have a suitable steering speed to catch the drift. The more information you can tell me the more i can help. Either it's a input/steering issue or you are using opposite lock too late into a drift.
From what i can tell it's most likely a input issue, either you are inputting too much throttle or too late on applying opposite lock. This could be down to your controller/wheel settings, if your settings are too slow to return from near full lock angle back to centre or to opposite lock then it will be near impossible to transition.
As i wrote in my review of Project CARS 2... "is it the best drifting game, no, can you drift all day and night in Project CARS 2, hell yes". I enjoy the challenge and the satisfaction when i get the drift just right in this game, the drift mustang feels as it has its own physics which makes drifting much more possible and dare i say easier. I share your hope that the 3rd game puts more focus on drift mechanics, but for now i am happy enough drifting in Project CARS 2.
@@DTRproductions problem is that cars doesn't go over 35 40 degrees... the feeling when you drift is good, but in the replay, it looks really weak. .. I love project more than Assetto Corsa, but is far less good than Rfactor 2 due some real physic limitations. .. I still love this game above all of them, because the awesome balance with "content, career, menu's and movies that makes everything so alive" ... but in my opinion, they still need to improve drift physic a lot
You can go over 45 degrees in the drift mustang and i haven't checked but i would think the radbul drift mx-5 can do over 45 degrees too, agreed in most cars they do feel like they just spin past 45 degrees. I love this game for the flexibility of the tuning, game settings and the attention to detail such as the great photo mode which most car games don't even bother to put in the game. I said this previouly... it feels as SMS made this as a pure competitive sim focused on pure racing and remembered oh it's a video game and maybe we should add some fun more relaxed casual stuff in it aswel, then they brought out the fun pack :D Which does what is says on the tin. I said this with the original game (Project CARS)... They didn't make this with drifters in mind,the sequel (Project CARS 2) is a step in the right direction, but it has a long way to go to be a game that appeals to more than just straight faced racers. Yet i still love this game. P.S if you're on PC i would be more than happy to add you as a friend and maybe do some skids sometime, just PM me your tag.

It doesnt work the gear ratios
If for some reason the ratios don't transfer properly to your copy of the game then simply adjust the ratios to something similar that works for you.
I did some rounding then it worked

PC2 it's not the game for drifting. .. amazing in the track, but there is no drif physics ... let's hope for PC3
