Just a quick how to on changing your backup battery for your sump pump. Thank you for watching and hit that Subscribe button and turn on the notification bell.
@@devane68 No, i did not. I had the whole unit replaced under warranty. They installed a "bad" unit to being with and mine never gave out until 10 years after the fact and i was grandfathered in.
I ordered a Mighty Max 12V 100 aH backup sump pump battery for my Zoeller 508 backup sump pump. The shipping box looked like it had been banged/dropped since one side was wrinkled (like an accordion). When I pulled it out, I noticed one of the bottom corners was slightly rounded, not squared. Is it still o.k. to install?
@@theoutdooroffice432 Thanks so much for your response. I sent photos of the damaged battery to the Seller and they passed them on to the manufacturer who said the dents were cosmetic and the battery was fine. They apologized for the poor shipping (byFedEx) and gave me a discount. Thanks again!
Thank you 🙏
🙏 thank you!!
Cracking me up!
Take a piece of masking tape and put the date of purchase on the battery using a Sharpie marker.
I need a new control box. the battery was still holding a charge.
@@theoutdooroffice432 Larry, did you find a company that would sell you the control box?

Great video. Do you need to cut the power anywhere before handling the batteries?
I unplugged they system before disconnecting the battery.

If it is just the box it sets in, I would say you are good to go.
