この曲は2017年にNYCに行き、街を歩きながら作った曲です。様々な人々が生きていて、週末は教会で祈りを捧げ、Gospelを歌いまた一週間街に飛び出していく。そんなNYの日常を曲にしました。
ギターの小竹直は、テキサスからNYに出てきたばかりのブルースマンが街で昼に夜にと演奏をして生きている姿を、ベースの山田晴三さんとドラムの片岡浩二はNYの刻む時間とGrooveを、僕は街に流れる雰囲気を、皆がそれぞれの配役で大活躍してくれています。
序章の2分30秒ですが雰囲気を楽しんでください。
I wrote this song while I was in NYC in 2017, walking the streets.
People from all walks of life come and go in that city, pray and sing Gospel in church on the weekends, and then head out into the city for another week.
I wrote the song about such daily life in NYC.
Tadashi Kotake on guitar plays the role of a bluesman who just came out to NY from Texas and lives in the city playing day and night, Haruzo Yamada on bass and Koji Kataoka on drums play the role of the ticking time and Groove of NY, and I play the role of the atmosphere flowing in the city, and everyone plays a major role in their respective casts.
