THANK YOU!!!!!! I just bought some black foam core to use as the back for shooting my Nerf Mandalorian Amban Blaster and thought about making a diorama/Batcave for my McFarlane Batman 66 figs, Batmobile, and Batcave. I've got four pieces, and even If I have to get a couple more, this is exactly what I needed to see being done, to make sure I wasn't crazy. This also really inspires me for some other smaller figure dioramas, even all the way down to D&D Minis. Glad I found this. Glad you posted it!!
Just subbed. Great work here I'm looking forward to seeing more and implementing these ideas into my works as well. Im new to CZcams as well as this type of art. Thanks for sharing. Have a wonderful day
i go for half inch foam, I am finding its not as good as it can be for magnetizing my dio pieces, but I can't do inch thick, have yet to be able to cut through inch thick foam and keep the line straight and otherwise not looking trash.
I used dollar store foam board...had a Perfect diorama..Beforee i started to paint it. I used black acrylic paint as the base coat ant let it dey. The base of the dioramq curled upward i guess from the paint moisture. Im not sure why. I then tried on thick Home Depot foam board but my cuts with a ruler and exacto knife dont come out sharp or crisp as other diorams i bought online
Awesome tutorial! Do you be chance have a list of paints or what kind of paint or spray paint you use? I’m just gtn into diorama work now and I’d appreciate any help!
I use these for diecast 1:24 scale cars if you use small 3 inch L bracket to support the boards and use the size 17in by 11in floor base and print off two full sheet labels in a concrete color and apply them to make it look like a convention center like the Detroit Auto Show is held at
That board is very flimsy and warps easily. The double board is a good idea with hotglue, but white glue could cause it to curve. Also take a little extra coffee sticks not for stirring.
Do a video on door making ways bro, mine are always trash and it seems no one has just a door tut. I see you didn't even cut it out here, just added the border pieces and the knob. Don't know why it did not occur to me to the do that before rather than cutting shit out and then trying to slot it back in...duh...lol
I know this an old video but this is what I keep trying to tell people, Dios don't need to be $500 masterpieces. I build so many out of junk (recycled) cardboard and some paint.
@@ROCCOTHEGREAT absolutely! I made a kitchen dio for my Mezco Gomez out of nothing but scrap cardboard and plastic and it photographs just as well as using $$$ worth of sps foam and other stuff!

You should spray paint in white. As it makes colours brighter.
The boards actually do come in white as well

What paint did u use?
I want to pose my NECAS but they would fall in my dio, do I put pegs in my dips or what
What action figure is that?
Hi Rocco, trying to find this stuff in the UK for the same type of project, could you give the name of the type of poster foam board?
its just project board, it should be at normal craft stores
Do You remove The paper covering The foam before The spray??
yes! the diorama is only the foam inside. i totally missed saying it but you can see me pull the paper off in the video , hope that helps
ENGAGEMENT
Holy shit…. I think I can actually do something like this…..
Not bad for one piece of foam
