- Have I found the BEST minimalist wallet??? Could be, if not these sure are some strong contenders!! Today we are taking a look at 2 awesome handmade leather wallets from Das Offene Meer Leather, the TopSider and the Houbei. I briefly showed the TopSider and Houbei in my recent EDC summer update video, but I had to give these gems some more screen time. Both the Houbei and the Topsider are great examples of well thought out, high quality, handmade, minimalist leather wallets. I just received my Houbei2 and itâs great. I was using cash folded with ccâs inside with a rubber band around it for years âcause I couldnât find the right wallet for front pocket carry. Now I look forward to taking my wallet out. It looks and feels great, and that smell!!! Michael Bluth was incredibly communicative with me during the design process and I highly recommend doing business with him. You canât get that quality, functionality, service, and personal customizing anywhere else, imho. I also ordered the topsider bifold for travel, when I could use more storage. And thereâs something special about having something made personally for you that makes you appreciate it so much more. Excellent review, Jeremy on a great craftsmanâs work. And this dude serves in the Navy, so I chose not to use any discounts âcause this guy deserves every cent and then some. Besides, while everyone else is jumping on the inflation bandwagon, this guy isnât and doesnât skimp on his quality, so Iâll probably be buying more wallets from him anyway.

UK notes - old paper ÂŁ20 notes need folding along the length to fit. Our new polymer ÂŁ20 notes fit ok but are an exact fit, so donât always sit nicely. Both the new ÂŁ10 and ÂŁ5 notes fit well. So for me, itâs old 20âs or newer 10âs and 5âs.
Shell Cordovan versions are not $59, however, they are more.

Nice vid, stumbled across it right now but definitely been wanting to replace my wallet for something minimalistic because apparently regular rear pocket wallets are bad for your spine. That houbei sounds like what Iâm looking for. Nice leather(we Mexicans love leather lol), good amount of slot space for cards, and the quick slot for my main debit card plus what sold me on these types you just showed was the option to have cash like in a regular wallet fully spread out instead of folded or what not. Was one of the few things keeping me from going minimalist.

I also have a Ridge style wallet and I like the small footprint, but I also still put my wallet in my back pocket. They aren't fun to sit on and I've switched to some leather "hybrids" where it's basically the same style, but wrapped in leather. I've been wanting the Das Offene Meer to try out.

Nice. I travel to Southeast Asia at least once per year. That area s generally a cash only area. As such I tend to carry a lot of bills. Folding them results in too much bulk for a front pocket carry. Can never be too careful when carrying cash.

tell you what mate, ive sat at my desk more since quarantine, and in that, ive gotten back pains, neck pains, shoulder pains, knee pains, and elbow pains. i was working construction before all this. i was having shoulder, knee, and elbow pain, when i needed to mow the lawn, and that alone took all the pain away. so i kicked up my home workout and since then, no pain. the pain may not come from doing something to yourself, but the lack thereof. some muscles may atrophy faster than others, and that will cause different strain on different points on your body and can throw you out of alignment. may help, may not but thats what i found for myself. hopefully something in this book can help you out with your shoulder lol
