- If the world is turned upside down by Russia's invasion of Ukraine, then it is Russia that is down and the rest of the world that is up. That's what European leaders are saying publicly now. Carl Bildt is a longtime Swedish and European politician, and has served as Prime Minister and Foreign Minister in his home country. He tells TV Rain that Russia's miscalculations and propaganda have created a wildly untrue environment in the Kremlin where reality goes unnoticed and only the lies in support of Putin ever make it to the surface.

Wow Carl Bildt is so knowledgeable three needs to be more interviews with him
He could have entered the history books as the president that brought back law and order to Russia, who fought down the Mafia of the 1990ies, who fought down the oligarchs who stole most of the countries wealth in the early days of cut-throat-capitalims. He could have been the president, that made Russia a normal European country, where the law is more powerful than gangster violence, and where for the first time a normal Russian middle class had the chance to develop. Those were the first eight years of his reign.
But no, he was not happy with that role. He wanted more. He wants his picture next to Ivan the Terrible and Joseph Stalin in the history books. Ok, your choice, towaresh Vladimir Vladimirovitch. That's were your face will be in the history books of the future. Next to those guys and maybe next to Catherine's horse.
Why isn't there a coordinated and concerted effort from the west and others to have Russia release their political prisoners i.e, Alexey Navalny, Vladimir Kara-Murza, and many more? Can you do a special show on this topic (generate more awareness on this)?
What makes you think Vladolf Pootin would listen?
Both Navalny and Kara-Murza went back after being poisoned knowing they would likely be jailed, for some reason. Do they calculate being jailed is their main hope for legitimacy in the RF as exiles abroad lose credibility?
end game must be clear. Military victory is the only solution. Sanctions help

Instead of addressing (Western) Europeans only in English, your station should begin to address Russians themselves inside Russia in Russian. Get hold of some highpower AM transmitters on medium- or even shortwave. Difficult to jam, proven technology, used during the Cold War.

I find it interesting that when we talk about access to information, we have to ask not why something _was_ banned, but rather why something _was not_ banned.
This is the point of view also for looking at the heavily moderated Chinese internet

well if putin builds a new Russian army, it will be a bit weaker than the earlier one who failed miserably in Ukraine. it will be even more poorly motivated even more poorly trained, even more poorlyl equipped, these days the Russian front line units are getting equipped with refurbished T-62 tanks, which are about 60 years old. and the Russian army is not even reforming its corruption, its logitistical problems its archaic inefficient command and control system which is not much different than the Soviet era. and from what I read, Putin wants to mobilize at least 3 million more men. So this will fail badly , in fact if Putin is crazy enough to launch another major offensive in Ukraine it will end badly for him, a few more major defeats in this war, and Putin is done for. and the longer the war goes, the more Russia mobilizes the more harder Russia will fall after the war is over. and its not going to be business as usual between the west and Russia after this war, and most western investors will not be coming back to Russia. Russia has lost a lot of prestige in this war, its army proven to be very corrupt incompettent its leadership the same , Russian military has proven to be barbaric and brutal and viewed badly esp. by the western countries.

It wasn't good interview technique, I suspect the naive leading questions were intended to receive answers to Russian misconceptions when rebroadcast in Russian.
Looks like Germany is the one going down... There is no stopping Russia. They are going to kick ass and take names.
