Very good fruit and with lots of benefits to our health, thanks for sharing this video i love 💘 jamun when i was in punjab growing up in village lots of memories with jamun fruit and trees. When I move to Seattle area I will order some plants, one of the thing about jamun is the vinegar 👌 it has so many benefits and its very hard to find, it kills any bad bacteria or viruses in stomach even it clean out any hair in the stomach.middle of the day in 40° temperature after school we climb the tree and spend hours picking the fruit and eating same time, sometimes the with heat and climbing too far branch breaks down and guys get hurt specifically breaking arm, God farming jamun fruit will be very profitable in the State of Arizona and California. I'm glad to have found this video. God bless you all.

Great video. This fruit is also known as Java plum and "Ribena" in Jamaica because of its similar taste to the drink. A worthwhile tree to have, heavy fruiter and relatively low maintenance just bear in mind the fruit temporarily stains the ground where it falls

That was incredibly informative. I have two that are potted and planning on growing them in San Diego. Hope they can handle the coastal wind. So far they look better suited than most of my other subtropicals in containers.

My jamun tree is 6 years old at 17 ft tall, the fruits shape like a peanut with 2 seeds. Large sizes plump like a cheery. My friend brought The seeds from cambodia and plant it in mesa Az. I was told that the tree in this video is call the wild jamun, it usually found all over the country side in cambodia, Nobody care to eat this kind because it is too small and tart.

The fruit is usually sweet with a balance of astringency. The astringency gives it character, it doesn't make the fruit taste bad.

I planted persimmons last spring in Vegas. lost one tree , one fruited the other two tree are getting by and starting to put on new growth for the fall season. Your tree may be too far gone. Try to perk it up with Superthrive liquid feed and foliar feed. They need sun protection for the first two years.
