It’s really incredible how much you emotional sensors are sharp and sensitive. You are capable of detecting subtle nuances that many who do speak the Hebrew language fail to grasp.
Thank you and may God bless you and your family .

    Dear Cody,
You've finally arrived at Eviatar Banai... it was inevitable. He is actually from the first generation (he's 51 today) of secular singers who went through a process of religious transformation. His first album (at the age of 24) still dealt with "secular" content, but with his turn to religion, his appearance changed... and so did his focus on very personal matters between him and himself, faith, marital relations, his relationship with God, and the gaps between his religious life and his artistic life that still bring him into contact with secular content. In my opinion, Eviatar Banai is the most talented among all the religious singers. He writes and composes his works from day one, working with a small group of people who have been with him for a long time, adapting his wonderful arrangements to his melodies. He has a very unique "sound signature" that ranges from a sense of "movement" in a song (like this one) to wonderful classical orchestral arrangements. His constant engagement in reflecting reality brings powerful words and songs that will make you cry. Many of his songs feel like a punch to the gut, and the words will make you wince (Insist on translation - they are important ). Because Eviatar is such a high-quality artist, it's best to get to know him gradually. You really saved the best for last... and what an experience you're going to have :)

The extended Banay family is very talented and famous in the Israeli culture since the '70 (or maybe before that 😊) until today. They have many singers and actors, and they have a big part of our culture

The surname should be pronounced Banahi as it is Persian, however Israelis do not pronounce ‘h’ probably and it sound like an ‘a’

    Eviatar Banai 🌷
BTW, in hebrew the emphasis in a word could be either on the last syllable (mostly) or on the one before the last. In the name Eviatar, it is on the last syllable, and in the name Banai, its on the first (the one before the last)
If you would like, from now on, I can give you the mark [L] for last, and [B] for the one before the last.
So in this case: Ev-ia-tar[L], Ba[B]-nai.

Almost every artist you have heard mentioned Banai as his Idol. Hanan Ben Ari even wrote a song about Eviatar. He is great artist, great performer. His songs in the 90s' about his problems, his searching and how he can't find his place were awesome. His songs after he found God and self peace are masterpiece.
    This song for example Dad,
    just talking to God
