yeah for sure this is a very hard and steep wall to climb , i was not expecting this at all. IMO it's easier done solo than in group cuz it's weaker when doing it solo compared to group, so if u can get your dps in and survival locked in it's doable... there will be grind involved cuz no one is prepared for this shit.

You can't get the electric enhancement mod because its in the Hagios Region, which unlocks after you kill the Devourer.
Which is literally a fk you from the game

My thoughs on my first 20 secs with this boss " he cant be that easy" then the bullshit starts...

Just beat this boss with 3 randoms and luckily they all were sweats . The chances of that happening are very slim.

@nmd68 I think issue is you need a high level bunny with correct mods. But people.gp in worth level 15 or less ones and think they can cheese it and also don't attack the pods. So frustrating
@stefanhayhurst1439 think once I have Enzo later tonight, I'ma farm up the last bit of materials I need to bump up my bunny to make her as tanks as possible, and trying to farm that mod that allows you to just grapple in the air (wish there were sprint mods like in warframe)

@@Hys-01 at this point, many masochist already suffered already, and they're well equipped dude. I did 3 runs, no luck. Fourth run, 2 guys on end-game just farming got paired with me and we killed this boss in less than 30 seconds. Yes, not cool depending on luck but hey, if you don't want to suffer, you can just let other people help you. I mean, they're not doing it to help you, but just get on the ride and enjoy.
Why is the locked behind normal missions the boss fight, especially when people want to do a story mission only that is why people are leaving the game
So farm something on a mission that doesnt open up until you have neat the devourer?
You can get the enhancement for other weapons just not for general ammo weapons
It's not really difficulty, it's just shit design even if we ignore the fight itself, the constant boss gating between zones is gonna make them hemhorage players. People like to work towards a difficult endgame, a large majority of players don't like obnoxious difficulty spike whenever they get into the groove of things, and it's not like this bs is designed to get people to spend money, every region lets you unlock and craft a a descendant that is decent against an upcoming boss, but this is just shit someone didn't bother balancing properly.
I tried to defeat this boss for about an hour with randoms and nothing... but I tried it alone and I beat it the first time, it's much easier, the Boss and the totems don't have as many HP when you go alone, and it doesn't do much damage to you. I did it without Toxic Resistance Mod, I bet it would be a lot easier with it

I'm going to try this. I'm sick of random idiots who don't know how to play, but the most infuriating thing is when you go in seeing low-level groups. Wtf.

How? I have over 2000 toxic res and he still kills me in seconds. I can't dodge his attacks cuz even if I roll or speed boost, the aim bot hits me.
The cover is destroyed in a single hit so all the cover is gone within the first minute

I'm all for bosses that take some communication, but this is a STORY MISSION. Stopping us from progressing because of this horrible healing mechanic and overpowered toxin damage that prevents you from healing or getting your shield back is horrible design
The irony when you need to beat this boss in order to unlock the area to get the general rounds electric enhancement....
After 5 tries with randoms, I came across an all level 40 team who knew what they were doing and with 20 seconds left to spare, we killed it. WHEW!
It recovers way too fast and those things are way too tanky. They need to reduce the health of those recovery pods and how fast he recovers by 50% especially on NORMAL like dafuq
I can defeinitely 100% confirm, doing it solo is easy.
Here is what you need:
-Toxic resistance mod, level it up till you have about 800+ resistance, is enough when you add the toxic resistance you get from equipments etc.
-The highest level assasult rifle you can get your hands on, higher DPS rare weapon is still better than a ultimate
-The highest level Shotgun you can get
-Put in those weapons all the dmg mods you can and in your Assault rifle just put flat 20% electric dmg since there is no way to get the other blue mod
Here is what to do:
Shoot at his destroyable parts and run around trying to dodge most of his attacks, if you get too close he will do a stomp attack so be careful to keep your distance, when he spawns his minions kill them eventually when you need resources like energy or HP drops or Ammo.
Keep your shotgun always reloaded and never use it till he starts the health regen phase, as soon as he becomes invisible take out your shotgun and be ready to rush to healing beacons and get up close and give them 3 shots, run to the next one and reload while running, do the next 3 shots and destroy the last one as well.
After that just pump him up with bullets, abilitys and finish him.

Holy fuck thank you, I was struggling with teammates but doing it solo was a walk in the park! Literally beat him first try solo.
Small edit: When the boss is weak against some kind of element, put the elemental dmg on the weapon, you should always use one elemental dmg, but only the blue ones wich give you extra elemental dmg from % of your weapons atk dmg, so for example you have 2K dmg from your weapon (atk dmg, not DPS) then you get for example from those 2K 10% as elemental dmg on top, that means every single bullet does 2K + 200 elemental dmg, in total 2200 dmg
Unless some really high gear level randoms drop into your squad, this is almost impossible, and it's disloyal. It's truly unbalanced. I'm over 2k toxic resistant, all gear 53, level 40, 11 mastery lvl... It recovers heath too fast
Couple of Advises from when I did this in the beta:
- use Toxin Antibody mod, and go slightly over the recommended cap of 1.800 (But that costs Kuiper, yes but it's worth it)
- Invest in your +Def mod, it giives damage reduction on top of the elemental damage reduction. (It gives more and more DEF per tier you upgrade it)
- Shotguns. Use a shotgun due to it's high-close range DPS during the healing phase
Well with kyle you don't need to worry about that as much however dmg isn't there need someone who can do mad dmg. cause every run so far people are not running bunny at all and soon as they pods come down to redo its health no one can dmg them enough to slow or stop the regen and its just fail sauce time after time with this boss.
@@joshbertolasi33 You don't really need Bunny, I ran Viessa on this. As long as everybody in the squad spread out in a X chape once he gets close to phase change, you will get to the Regen Pods relatively quickly.
You punch it to activate the Weaken Regen, drop Blizzard on it, and blast it with a shotty. It's done in a couple of seconds.
If everyone does this and he doesn't regain much shield, then you're good as the majority of his health is his shield, as he seems relatively squishy once his initial shield is gone.
Everyone needs to be able to deal with the pods effectively, that's the key to winning the fight.
Almost beat it with Kyle. Just not enough damage. Ran out of time.

I can confirm that SOLO is the way to go. I used Ajax and reflecting dmg with his barrier helped a lot in whittling down his hp. The healing phase is annoying as dude gets back so much hp and it takes so long to destroy the cannisters even with a Shotgun, but just be as fast as you can and keep spamming his reflective barrier and you should be good. No need to rely on Bunny.
So strange I had the exact opposite experience. I also main Ajax and was struggling solo even though I know I had a good build going for it. Then I joined with another Ajax and 2 bunnies that didn’t quite know what they were doing at first but eventually targeted his regen pods relatively fast and we got him down with 2 minutes to spare. Maybe my dps was on point and I just needed to not be targeted 100% of the time?

Well, this boss he decreed that I will uninstall this game, even after following any kind of guide, in full team or solo i can't do this shit so.. this sucks

bottom line is just ask someone to help in world chat. the best way to kill devourer is to overlevel it, no sense in delaying your progression to make a specialized build specifically for this boss, its just overtuned.
Anyone stuck on the devourer for long periods of time should just try it solo, it is infinitely easier than public intercept
Lol, the weapon shock Module only drops in the region AFTER the devourer. Or does this Drop location rotate as well?
I have tried doing this several times and failing every time even though I have looked through most of the guides on how to beat this boss. And you cannot tell me that is normal difficulty. It feels like I am doing expert difficulty or something. I have good weapons, I save my shotgun for the healing phase. Like I am all good for this boss but I am failing every time. And it seems like I need to beat this boss to progress through the story which is ridiculous. This is the type of stuff I strongly hate in video games and it just makes me stop playing. Cus how is this fun.... I could just imagine the hard difficulty that would be insane.

solo is way to go. way less health. just run circles on bunny and laser him whenever he gets stunned. shotgun the regen phase and ur good.
This!!! Took a few attemps but managed with this and a little electric buff @ lvl 32 with Vierra... Shit was tough but rewarding. Definetly the speed boost Vierra gets helped/ being a grapple expert lol

Surprisingly this boss fight was somewhat easier than the death bride since the death bride so far took me two matches to defeat while all the other bosses have been one match only to defeat.

One thing I highly recommend is upgrading the resistance to element mod if you're struggling.
I failed dead bride once before realizing that upgrading a single element mod gave WAYYY more resitance than the universal mod. like I went from 800 res to 2000 and since its a blue mod it costs less to upgrade

How are you using bunny’s maximum power skill against the healing capsules? As soon as I use the ability on them, the skill gets used up and she doesn’t perform the skill

I've leveled everything i can and its uber frustrating. Unless I'm missing it i don't even know if im the issue as i can't see anybody else dps. I'm doing about 9m but i don't know if that bad, good whatever. I think I'll just take a day off and farm another Descendant....😔
Update- Went in with 3 Bunny's (I'm a AJax) and knocked it out with 3min to spare. Then finished the next map and knocked out Pyro in the same day. Lol

You can't get Electric Enhancement until you get to Hagios, which is after Devourer, so there's that

If you want to clear this fast, go solo with ajax. Wait for the attack that leaves bush-looking things on the ground, face-tank as many of them as you can, then put a barricade on them.

man, i don't get it.. my guns do 200-300% your displayed dps alone but apparently i can't seem to find a random group and manage to actually kill the devourer.... it's getting frustrating
Like everybody said before try it SOLO! The hp scalling on mobs and bosses is crazy in squads. I tried multiple times with level 40 squadmates and we failed everytime. I tried it solo and got him first try.

How is devourer a problem? Dead bride was difficult at first, then that pyromaniac dude was a progression wall. Until you figure out that bunny is useless and use someone tankier (pretty much anyone else) with hp and res mods. The devourer was just a bullet sponge

Or just get a cannon that has one round per mag, add mods to increase explosive damage to high as you can. Have everyone run it, never use it until the health pylons comes down. LvL 52-53 is two shot per pylon. Fastest way I found so far... Highly recommend that weapon for all regardless of boss.

The attack bonus as a percentage of the weapon’s attack style mod vs the “additional” attack mod sounded like a super-hot tip but you only mentioned it for a split second and your cursor blinked over the mods in .2 of a second so while I think I can find the mods by what you said, I think this great video would be even better if you slowed it down just bit.

@@geddybear9108 i mean the way i look at it, from comments and the video, is even if i optimize a char in tfd it wont matter if ppl leave lobbies or avoid because in their experience other players cant optimize correctly, nore is that char/weapon etc Meta. A mass majority of players in warframe dont care what frame you run, and they will even help you optimize it if your struggling, it took me sense launch of tfd to this vid (like 3-4 days lol) to realize why ppl kept leaving intercept matches without saying anything even when the fights were going well.

@MrHeLlAnGeL123 Optimising defence against corrosion makes the fight a doddle, but the first time you fight Devourer the majority won't really have interacted with the module system.
defeated devourer on 2nd try, i just got lucky the pub i got into knows what to do
Just doge and hit weak points and try not to get hit most of these bosses have delayed Aim So if you just hold move to the side while holding your shot button they just about miss you and you end up just hitting them and they miss all there shots

Yeah thats the one that made me quit the game now. Impossible to do with pugs who die within the first 30 seconds. Typical korean slop boss that expects more than 1 brain cell from the player.

@@OmqLaserGunPewPew I used an Elec infused shotgun, wipes em out quick. I think I only had him do it twice but his health didn’t come back quick. Then used a scout rifle to hit crit points and he was dead as a door knob

This! Just get enough Toxin Resistance and a good Eternal Willpower lv53 with Bunny you can even go for your 3rd ability to kill the pods you don't need the 4th one. I had 2200 Toxin Res and solo'd him on my first try
Nope. This isn't fun anymore and it's more stress than gaming. I've got thousands of hours each on Warframe and Destiny so I'm no noob. Used to the grind and play mostly solo. But this is just stupid. If they want to put people off playing they are going about it the right way with Devourer.
me and my friend did use bunny ( friend even switched to ultimate bunny) and whe both maxed out tox resist and all element resist and whe stil could not defeat this piece of crap boss.

The Tamer, just put electric barrel .. Tamer will rip. I used it without leveling it, it was 46 or 47 and it also helps when you’re not in a group with some jackass whom isn’t lvl 23
