This project was a big challenge for me & it took months to come to completion. I put a lot of love & effort on it. I hope they're noticeable in the video.
Music Selection was a very crucial challenge. For which, my friend @TPrinceknight on Twitter helped me finalize the final combination of songs. We both went through hundreds of songs before picking up the final choices. It took 3 months for the selection itself. We needed songs which were capable of expressing the Grand World of One Piece. When people say "A good story doesn't need 1000 chapters to be told" I always think to myself: Maybe, but such a great world deserves way beyond 1000 chapters to be explored
ya, it is just a shame that we unfortunately have not had the pleasure to do so, its something that could have been done with better editing of the anime, we just lacked a lot of laid back adventuring like in skypiea, too much conflict and stress, i do miss that.

That's the thing. One Piece isn't just 1 story. It is a string of tons of stories. It's basically a long-ass book series at this point.
Imagine in the end when one piece is over, you see a clip of brook looking at the tombs of luffy,sanji,zoro,chopper, usopp, nami, jinbe, nico robin saying “ and that was the story of the one piece…” a small kid talks to him “ wooooww thats incredible !! Did you meet the pirate king luffy ? “ …yes he was my captain and i had many adventures with him and the rest of crew…
after watching this I began to understand why Luffy is so angry when people try to help him discover the One Piece in a faster manner. The journey is the treasure

Eiichiro Oda really outdid himself with One Piece. The creativity and imagination that was put into this world and it’s characters, is incredible. One of my favorite stories ever.

I think it has the best world building period, not only does it create an expansive world that functions has it's own rules and makes sense. But graphically and design wise its is cartoonish. And none of that takes away from its realism.

One piece is not just going down as one of the greatest manga/anime in history. It's one of the greatest works of modern fiction. Right up there with lord of the rings, star wars, game of thrones, etc.

Once the "one piece" finally gets revealed it will shake the world to its foundations like no other anime has ever done before. Oda's manga will go on to become a legendary scholarly work of art that will live on for generations next to Tolkien’s lord of the rings. It’s a shame that so many fans don't realize just how brilliant and larger than life one piece really is and to think all of this exists within the mind of one man.

Im sorry but what the fuck has watching one piece having to do with "awesome long adventures"? The word adventures is way to general to be used here. You mean STORIES? Adventures can be going in a long travel to climb mount everest, or going to india and live there for 1 month. THATS an Adventure, reading a Story like one piece does feel good, but sadly only some have the ability to feel like they are going with the characters while binge reading it, otherwise only real way to feel like this has been such a big adventure is if you have been watching it for years...

Oda didn't make just a story about "Pirates and Marines fighting for an unknown treasure" it's the story of a whole world, of its characters, people, countries, kingdoms, rules and history. All of these made with great care and details. One Piece is not just a shounen manga it's more than that ! One Piece is an adventure !!
Indeed and if you look in little bit more depth you see that it’s +18 not because of women but of great touches about the world’s problems with slavery and violence. you can see that One piece is a fun great adventure but the amount of disgustingly great depth you can tell is fascinating. One piece can truly be seen as an adult’s only Anime but in reality it’s great for a 5 year old and a fifty year’s old how Oda is blending these topics that couldn’t be further from the other is one of the most underrated things in one piece

It’s because it’s one big story line with many story’s within it, every arc is a story on its own and it all ties back to one big story. Oda really did think things through before he started unlike some other mangakas with long story’s that just make things up as they go because they don’t want to end things.
Oda had a lot of the plot already written, and just focused on individual story’s in between the big one that made the story longer and longer.
The only cons of the story i can personally think of is the amount of perverts and inappropriate comments/ peeping etc. Other then that it’s a perfect story

I don’t think it’ll be able to go that far (cus I’m a sceptic like that) but it has definitely made people more curious about the story itself and many have made the decision to go find out more, either through the anime or the manga. That in itself make the live action a huge success, in my opinion

This made me tear up man. I grew up with One Piece. I can't imagine it being done for real. The world building, the story, and the mysteries. Nothing can top it all off. Simply one if not the best story told in popular culture.

@Denny Stoll sales dont really mean anything in considering the best story, and you have to consider that since one piece is so long and has so much material that its going to have a lot of sales
I still have yet to watch properly more than 2 or three epsiodes of it, even though people have talked about it around me for sooo many years. But it really does feel like it might be time now, now that it is apparently nearing its end (whenever than may be LOL) to actually start watching it for real.

I can relate to this so damn well. I'm 30 years old as well and I have started this masterpiece when I was 15. Honestly, the story and the hype it has built up over years has been rooted in me deeply and I am actually hoping this will go on for another 5 more years at least. There are a lot of untold stories and I need a master like Oda to give his all to make this a story for ages rather than increasing the pace to wrap it up sooner.

The recent reveals of Sun God Nika and that Shanks stole the Gomu Gomu no Mi from the World Government makes it very likely that it's Luffy's fruit. Plus Oda specifically telling us to keep an eye on Luffy shows REALLY BIG things are about to happen to Luffy. Now with Zunesha being confirmed to be JoyBoy's Nakama and all the mentions of JoyBoy by Kaido and the Dawn of the world approaching Wano will be the birth of the new JoyBoy
He has put 20 years of his life into this world. And it will go on. He has put life on the line.

I've watched a lot of One Piece AMVs throughout the years and honestly what you made is something truly special. You managed to capture 20+ yrs of magic in less than 8 minutes. Seeing a combination of all the different places we've been to really hit home. Been one hell of a Journey so far. This is a spoiler free amv but at the same time it got a magical feel to it. I watched it and cried. This is a Masterpiece. Thank you for making this beautiful amv.

The thing I love the most about One Piece, is that the world feels so alive! I absolutely loved this.
It's just mind boggling to imagine that all these fantastic places was created by a man with his pencil and paper.
Eichiro oda must be considered at tolken martin and Herbert's level . His world building, his dialogues and how his magnum opus still upholds a really good level of narrative quality it's something few authors can achieve. He also draws everything so .... Yeah. A complete author.
I think he could also be compared to Pratchett since both are master in the absurd style
to be honest, all these legends you mentioned are undoubtedly great but Oda is in a class of himself
He's easily among the Top 10. Top 5 even.
I do believe he will be a subject by himself in literature classes in a few decades.

After watching this I think, one of the main reasons I love One Piece is because of its world. So full of life, with lots of different cultures and places to see. I'd love to be able to get lost in a world like that and explore every bit of it.

When I clicked this video I was not expecting to finish it covered in tears. What a world that Oda has created... Throughout the whole video I just kept thinking "what a journey!" and that really is the feeling One Piece tries to convey: enjoy the journey. One Piece means so much to me, to all of us, and it's so hard to put it into words or explain to someone why it means so much. This video is such a beautiful way to showcase, in an abstract way, the feeling of One Piece.

Back in the big 3 era, i was a narutard and never really cared for one piece that much bcoz of its goofy art style, back then after i finished watching/reading all of naruto and bleach and got nothing else to do one day, so i then decide to watch one piece, till i finally caught up in the anime then proceeds later reading its manga based on how addicting it really is, I can agree that you really shouldn't judge a book by its cover. Imo one piece may lack what most anime's drawing of human's/character's body proportions is compared on how exaggerated op's character designs are, but there's no doubt that it is way better than bleach and naruto not only by its story, but also by how massive the world of one piece and how comparable the issues that the people in one piece world tackle have in our world. Also one of the greatest aspect of one piece really is its world building, that shit really made me fell in love with the series and i consider it as one of the greatest literature ever written. Thank you so much oda for making this masterpiece ❤

I read the three of them back in the days. I read them in this order: Bleach, Naruto, One Piece. Bleach was first because every chapter is short, Naruto is just fine. Then saving the best for last, One Piece with the most content in every chapter. Damn those days were indeed the golden era of manga. Oda is story telling genius.

1. One piece
2. Bleach
3. Naruto

Water 7 is one of the coolest and creative island ever.
It has been so long, hasn't it ? Just feels like yesterday when I started One Piece thinking of it as a challenge at first but soon it became interesting. Then slowly before i knew it, It became my favorite :). The giant sea with all these islands with their own stories, cultures and adventures. So many people, all with their own share of struggles. Every island brings a new journey altogether and most of all, it feels as if I'm a part of this journey :). The fandom all supporting each other like a Nakama. This is a truly blessed fandom and the anime deserves it. It's still amazing to just think that all of this came from one single mind and it's easily one of the greatest stories ever told :). Just love this !
