The high notes in this can not be compared with anyone .. Altough Jimin's highnotes suprises me everytime and jungkook's and jin's voice drives me crazy but V has a baritone and knowing this .. its litterally very hard for someone to sing this high with this kind of deep voice ... Everytime I listen to this I get a feeling of respect for Taehyung
Yaa👍
For a Baritone in KPOP, V has widest vocal range (as per real vocal analysts) of Eb2 ~ D6 (3 octaves, 5 notes and 1 semitone), which means he has potential of hitting high octaves with ease.

This song is so deeply personal to me, this album came out in one of the darkest times in my life, my entire family was falling apart and I, as the eldest daughter, was sort of forced to hold everything together...
My mother fell into a deep depression where she tried to khs many times in front of me, my brother started hanging with a really rough crowd and began stealing and taking drugs while my father decided he wanted to move on in life without us....
It crushed me, I felt so alone and ashamed that nothing i could do would help us... everyone around me just said to me " be strong for your family" but no one offered any help... they just watched me lose myself from a distance, while we struggled to put food on the table at home. All our family friends turned their backs on us and we became the laughingstock of our church. I was so far away from everyone I cared about; I'd never felt so alone in my life. Every day was a battle to keep my head up and move on with my life but reassembling was proving to be so much harder than people made it out to be.
This song was my cry for help, it spoke to me in ways no other piece of art has. In fact, this entire album encompassed exactly how I felt and how I still feel today while dealing with the after effects of the situation. The wings album is a tragically beautiful masterpiece, everyone can relate with at least one song in the track list, which Is sad but let us all draw together and find comfort in each other. That's why I love BTS so much... Wings opened our eyes to our pain and allowed us to lay all our hurt in front of our eyes, the follow up series Love Yourself reminded us that even though we are hurting and flawed, we still deserve to be loved and cared for ♥️
You're really strong! I'm the eldest daughter too and your story made me tear up. More power and strength to you!💕❤ I hope you're doing well.
I feel you dear. I'm really sorry for all the things you had to go through. I hope you are doing well now. Lots of love to you from a fellow ARMY!💜
I hope you are doing well now!! As an eldest daughter and the current situation that I am in right now, I literally cried while reading your comment. You are right, BTS songs validate our feelings in a way no other artists have done. We are in this together, let's keep fighting!! More love and power to you from a fellow army 💟
Its been 5 yrs. but this is still my fave Tae solo song!!! The fact that he wrote this lyrics and they never disclose the meaning behind this song, keep me up at night sometimes. I know that this could be a song inspired by his storyline in BTS HYYH but it could also be a song with much deeper personal meaning towards Tae. I really love to give him a big warm hug everytime I listen to it. This was such an underrated masterpiece!! 💜
do u have any interpretations of what the lyrics could mean to Tae? I read so many and i'm clueless which makes more sense. Maybe it could be a mix of both..
@@angelawang4660 It has 2 ways of perceiving in my sight, first coming out to his family but not being accepted and only being defined by that to himself or in the eyes of his family. Second, He left to pursue his dream at an early age when his siblings were also young, and now he regrets not being there for them and he and his siblings not growing up to be closer, and him not being able to protect them by being there and he feels like he is a sinner in their eyes. I definitely think it's the second one being the closest because he has always been a family oriented person and he wanted to be there for his siblings.
@@zunairaimtiaz4783 Dude first one is more accountable here. I just don't see how this can be relating to not being there for his siblings, why would that be a "Stigma" and why would you say "are calling me a sinner?" These are quite harsh words for a boy to have on his conscience, just because he pursued a career as a music artist and he had to commit his whole life to it. Beside he was taking care of his family by earning considering they were poor in the beginning so that was for their own good in some ways. And his siblings still had their parents to care for and support them. I'm sure they were thrilled for their brother's success and I'm sure that Tae was still a loving brother to them as often as he could be.
I've never heard of any of the other members expressing guilt for not always being there for their siblings because of having to leave home to become a trainee (apart from Hobi maybe, I think he may have mentioned it at his sister's wedding, but it certainly didn't make him a "sinner").
@@arya.07 Exactly. At first i thought it might be about guilt of being an idol, but in 2015 Tae and his brother were talking a lot and in 2017 Tae said that his brother avoids talking to him so obviously something serious happened between them in 2016 and that’s when this song was written. In this song he said “are you calling me a sinner” to his brother, so it sounds like whatever confession he made (he describes making a confession at the first verse and revealing a secret that is killing him to keep) his brother called him a sinner for that confession. It sounds a lot like an lgbt song. The other members are close with their siblings even with busy schedules so it’s definitely deeper than that with Tae’s case. Also, right after this songs release date is when Tae started wearing a lot of LGBT pride gear which is what a lot of people do after coming out so…. i really don’t know, maybe it is about being lgbt… if it’s about leaving his siblings why cant he just say it ?
Also, Namjoon confirmed that it’s about Tae’s real life and extremely personal so it’s not written for HYYH.
@@user-js4cm4nv2u Omg I've been meaning to reply to you for soo long but I wasn't able to for some reasons idk, but thank goodness I finally can. I appreciate your reply a lot, and tysmm for the timeline and facts, cause I didn't know about it. Many people interpret him not talking to his bro with him not being on good terms because of his busy trainee and idol life, but if he was on great terms even after debuting, then suddenly he wasn't and then this song comes out, then the first reason isn't valid at all. And suddenly he's using all the lgbtq terms living in a homophobic country, wearing lgbtq stuff, calling himself sinner and crime and stuff, his bro isn't talking, saying some famous lgbtq lines after coming out (I think Tae once said 'I'm still me' that the main character said in a movie after coming out, but I'm not sure whether Tae or JK said that. I watched that clip long ago and can't find it rn). And yeah you're right, most members, firstly, have good relationships with their siblings, despite some being busier than Tae, and secondly, reveal the meaning of their songs, even if it's very personal and controversial for S. Korea (Suga talked about mental health problems in his song even if it's such huge of a taboo there). Besides, I'm sure Tae, or at least Namjoon knew how this song would be interpreted as, as an lgbtq song, and even tho they support the community, them being associated with lgbtq could ruin their career in S. Korea, considering back then they didn't have a lot of international support, and imo, if this song wasn't about lgbtq, then they would've quickly explain the meaning and clear doubts, but still they didn't and that doesn't make sense if it is about Tae not being there for his bro. But honestly, even tho most chances are that this song is about lgbtq, we can't be 100% sure (tho I am like, 95% sure).
Edit - That was so long but heyy, are you Swiftie?
Honestly I genuinely believe this song is for his siblings. Hear me out. In this particular album, all of their solos were personal, like really personal. Jungkook talks about his love for his hyungs, jimin talks about his struggle to genuinely smile, jhope talks about his appreciation for his mother, suga talks about his deep love for music, namjoon talks about his inner hatred and jin talks about his struggle with success. All of these are extremely personal.
But its only taehyungs song that we never got the backrgound story of. And i believe its because it is related to his siblings, something that is extremely personal and private. Taehyung, like the majortity of the members, prefers to keep his siblings private to protect their identity. That being said, him refering to "my brother" and "my sister" is no coincidence.
As we all probably know, stigma refers to a mark of disgrace. Taehyung probably sees himself as a 'disgrace' in the eyes of his siblings as he's not able to be their in person and 'protect' them physically like older siblings are expected to. His grandmother passed away this particular year as well, so him not being able to attend the funeral as the oldest son would have been a sign of 'betrayal' in his siblings eyes, even if they understood the reasons why he couldnt be there. Taehyungs 'sin' is that he went to pursue his dream as an artist leaving his family behind. Thats why no matter what he does, he cant 'erase it or hide it.' Taehyung values family. So the wound that this situation has given him only gets 'deeper and deeper.' His 'heart hurts everyday.' Siblings dont care much for money or wealth or success. Theyre proud and theyre happy, but more than that they just want their brother in their life. Deep down the love is there, but the situation makes it very hard for siblings to actually form strong bonds especially if this seperation happnens in their teen years- thats when people change and grow the most. Im not saying that they dont love him, but it would be hard to speak to someone you barely even know anymore or who barely even knows you now (as tae eluded to in his vlive how it’s been a long time since he’s spoken to his siblings).
Anyway, this song really just hits in the feels. I have 4 siblings and my older brother left us to go work when we were younger. Im just speaking on the knowledge that i know how his siblings would feel and that the guilt that taehyung feels is normal. When you miss out in being in your siblings life at an early stage, it would make anyone feel sad especially if that was never what you intended for to happen.
So conclusion? Taehyung is apologising to his siblings in this song and hopes that they will one day forgive him for becoming someone that they have trouble reaching.
I think its a beautifully tragic song and it hits close to my heart.
BTS is always deep with their music.
Also this was just my take on it anyway, what’s yours? Guess we'll never really know unless taehyung tells it to us straight tho
This is so accurate and sad...
He always says how much he loves his family..
I even remember when during a vlive he said that his younger brother don't talk to him that much and he feels really bad about it...
But now i think its all fine..
You can see in his vocation vlog he went out with his bro and spend his holidays with his family instead of going outstations.
:'(
Well said.
@Vanilla Cheesecake I don't think so... I mean, if he were gay, why would he apologize to his siblings about it, and who is he addressing when he said that someone else took the blame for it?? There are a lot of meanings and theories to it that any one of them could be right or wrong.
@Vanilla Cheesecake I can see why though. It's very deep, but something tells me that the meaning of the song might be something else. An example, might just be because he did something very wrong in his past that he deeply regrets.

Even with Jungkook, Jimin, and Jin being able to hit all those high notes, and they really can! No one, and I mean no one in the group has the massive range that V has. Seeing that his natural tone is baritone and he is able to hit that note at the end tells me how big his range is...
Taehyung is such an old soul...and his enduring love for all music makes me admire him more. Seeing how he himself has said that Erik Benet (Halle Berry's ex husband) is one of his favorite singers...more admiration...

UNDERRATED COMMENT
Ironic as I was just listening to that song.
this is such an underrated comment omg
this comment should be written down in history books
Yeah.
I came back to this song because I was confused about my feelings. I started to read the comments and a lot of y’all mention that it speaks to y’all as lgbt. and honestly now I see why. I’ve been struggling to know my own sexuality and hearing this again is very relatable now. I feel that if I ever come out to my parents and siblings I will feel rejected, I’ll feel as if I have sinned. ‘Are you calling me a sinner?’ Really hit home. That’s exactly how I feel right now.
Stay strong
I hope you know that you aren’t obligated to come out, and I hope you know that if you want to come out, it’s better to do it when you’re ready. Don’t put so much pressure on yourself to come out or to figure out your sexuality. Take all the time you need in the world to figure it out. It could come to you today, tomorrow or a long time from now, just don’t put so much pressure on yourself and remember that you’re loved. Always. I love you 💜

One thing else, if you’re not sure of your family’s reaction to you coming out or if you know it’s going to be negative, I suggest that you come out when you are in a stable place. As in, if they kick you out, you at least have somewhere to go. I know that it’s a very hard thought. But better safe than sorry. I plan to do the same thing. I don’t know what my mom feels about lgbtq. Her reaction to it is pretty…meh. Meh is not enough for me to come out to her. Stay safe :) best of luck to you 💜

Apparently in this song Taehyung talks about how he sees himself as a disgrace because when his grandmother passed away and he wasn't able to be at her funeral, so it makes him feel like he betrayed his family. I can relate to this so much because my grandmother passed away but because of covid I didn't get to her as much before she passed. I was so sad and disappointed with myself and I thought it was all my fault. I feel like I betrayed my grandmother because I didn't get to see her. Now she is in heaven and she probably thinks I betrayed her😭😭😭

Okay to all the people saying this song is not Lgbtq+ can ya'll shut up because this song is a masterpiece that speaks differently with every individual who listens to it. And people saying ''Taehyung is Straight don't assume that he is Gay or bi etc'' aren't you all also assuming his sexuality and what if someone calls him gay?? Ya'll are being triggered as if being called gay is a disrespect. Why can't we all normalize LGBTQ+ like if someone calls me gay or bi I'll just smile and tell them its okay bro maybe I've given off that energy but I'm not gay, there's nothing to be offended of. I'm soo sick of hypocrite people.Ya'll need to grow up. Lets say there are a lot of LGBTQ+ Idols in Kpop suppose its Kim Taehyung for now and he is scared to come out but when he give hints that he is gay or etc people start to justify and defend his actions that he is not part of the LGBTQ+ like being a gay or bi etc is a disgrace.

4 years ago a lady names miss Deb, was like a Grama to me, she was so kind and loving.... But she was diagnosed with cancer...she lived past what they said she would.... But one day I was at her house and she always had roses in her yard, I had a funny feeling and collected them because they were so beautiful, that was the last time I ever saw her......my mother told me that she had passed away. I forgot to tell her I loved her that day, I wish I would go back and tell her she meant so much to me.... But this song reminded me of that pain and I cried for the first time in 4 years about it, but afterwards I finally acknowledged what had happened and I could begin to heal.....thank you Kim Taehyung, you helped me heal and to remember to cherish the ones I love...because like those rose petals, everything is temporary.

The people who disliked the video better be joking. Taehyung must've practiced very hard for that high note
Don't at me
I notice that a lot of ppl in the comments are saying how this speaks to them from the perspective of someone queer, but then them saying that they're not saying they think Taehyung is queer or forcing him to be. But why is thinking he could be queer in someway disrespectful? And why do the people who think he's straight and say so and are not putting the same kind of thing abt how they're not going to force him to be anything and not getting any backlash from it?
It's not a bad thing to be queer, and no one's forcing him to be. This comment section is really something.
great comment. its so rude when people assume that all members are straight. as an lgbt person myself, it was so hard for me when everyone assumed i was straight. i’m not assuming his sexuality but IF he is queer then i hope fans assuming his sexuality doesn’t hurt him.
also, real armys shoudnt get offended over the possibility that he might not be straight. some of these comments are really proving some fans don’t love the members for who they are, they love their own version of the members. i don’t care if the members are straight, bi, gay etc and fans shouldn’t care either, we should just care about their happiness
@@invisiblestring4234 I completely agree with you, I'm closeted myself ( too scared to come out rn) and it's so hard when ppl are constantly assuming this thing about me bc it's considered normal or whatever to be cishet.
There is so much pressure as it to be a certain way, I can't believe the amount of pressure that gets added once someone becomes famous. They're still people and should be aloud to make mistakes, live their truth, and be happy.
I think sometimes people forget that.
I do agree that a lot of comments “defending” this song from having lgbtq+ undertones are lowkey and probably unintentionally homophobic. But the reason people presume any of the members to be straight without much “controversy” behind that assumption is because according to the kpop industry all the members are decidedly straight.
Guys please calm down sexualties aren't insults you see them as rude because they are assuming your sexuality it is no brainer to say assuming sexuality is rude after all, it isn't insult or a way to be rude to someone which smarty even thought assuming sexuality is insultive enough to get people saying same shit over your reply you don't even know what they feel about these stuff how less things you know about the person you love so blindly honestly I have never ever sawn anyone get mad by assuming their sexualities not even many primary students act think it that way
No one is saying he's 100% not straight. But people in the comments are saying he's 100% queer when there's so many things that this song could be about.

As a gay man I totally get it! It perfectly encases the feeling of sinking and the fear that you will dissapoint everyone, you're apologizing to everyone and you feel like you're on borrowed time with the people you love.
@@gray_-_-_gBorrowed time- i literally wrote a whole verse about my love with family being on borrowed time which price I'm paying with myself. It's funny in a sense. once again starting off pride month with this anthem
This song had barley a performance or two, and wasn't that promoted by Big hit, they are hiding it and sleeping on it actually, so if this was about V's family and Drama of being away, oh believe me they love a good emotional story and they would have cared less about V's keeping his family business secretive, i mean every one talked about his grandmother's death to justify his depression and crying era, so i'm sure the reason this song is being in the shadows is wayyy deeper than we could imagine.
1- This song could be about him feeling guilty for being away from his family his siblings growing up/ grandmother's death.
2- As well it could be about him fighting to show his real self and true identity, while trying to meet his family's/ community's expectations due to him being the older brother/ role model.
Part of this song he said there was someone delicate and fragile, whom he couldn't protect because he didn't have the "courage" (( Now i can't relate that to V's Family because, as far as i heard V came from a kinda poor family, so him helping them out by working and persuading his dreams can't be identified as acting "Cowardly" if it's about him being away that could be named being "Selfish" "too ambitious" "irresponsible" or even "ignorant" if he wanna call himself out badly))
Being Coward here i think is related to someone he is in a relationship with, where he was supposed to take a stand and come out about them, but he didn't have the courage, so his delicate fragile partner took the fall and the punishment in his stead as in the lyrics.
He asked that late person to stop crying because it hurts him and instead ask him "why did you do that to me then" then said "Forget it what right do i have to tell you do this or that" because he feels that he was the one who didn't stand by him in the first place.
Him apologizing to his brother because he can't hide or erase what he is anymore, and then being called a Sinner ((either by his brother/ family / community))
Then apologizing to his sister for not being the role model he was supposed to be and asking her to cry and dry his eyes, because usually sisters are the emotional soft ones.
Then finally him summoning the light on to illuminate his scars ((Sins)) and show the world how much he suffered ((red blood flowing down/ i feel like dying everyday)) and at the end he's still hoping that maybe one day people might be able to forgive and let him be who he wants to be!
A sensible comment finally! I fully agree with the BH pont. Like please BH is basically selling overpriced bottles with BTS' face in them to earn some extra money but the fact that they still didn't promote this song is kinda weird. Considering his vocals in this song are just suberb, it should've been huge success but this song is not that well known (considering BTS). But after reading the lyrics it's clear why they didn't, in simple words, it's LGBTQ coded. It's also bout his family, but I don't think the whole song is bout his family. As you said, he would've called himself selfish or too ambitious or smth if he regretted not being there for his siblings when they needed him cause of his career and everything, but he wouldn't go to the extent of calling himself "sinner". The word "sinner" is not something you can use just throe around casually in a light way. It's real grave and its' meaning is much more than what appears to be on the surface. And no matter how much he regrets not seeing their siblings growing up, after all he was away for his family, he was away from his siblings for their and his own good, and isn't that much of a "crime" as he's saying in this song. The "crime" and him being "sinner" is most probably referring to LGBTQ+
Also I always thought Tae had real different viewpoints when it came to 'love' along with JK. JK isn't mentioned anywhere in your comment, but your playlist says something ;) I always kinda noticed smth bout JK and him (Tae) that they had total different pov on love. Like others were writing and singing love songs such as I like this and that bout my lover and she/he make me go crazy and I love my lover more and etc and everything, him and JK were more like referring to love as a sin or crime. JK's cover of 2U, when it comes to you there's no 'crime' and also Tae recommended the song purpose and later JK covered it and it'd a line like "God forgive me for my sins" and this whole song is bout love, forgiveness, crime and sin. And there're a lot other things in their songs that refer to love as more of a crime and in their case, something that's short lived love, smth that should be hidden and not let anyone else know, but all the same in their world of love, it's 'colorful'. (A world without is a world without color, your eyes tell, written by JK. The reason Tae liked the mv of Dynamite was because it was 'colorful'.Weird huh?) Their songs and covers like someone like you, nothing like us, only then, let's break up, 2u, purpose, Stigma, your eyes tell, euphoria (kinda cheerful but in the end there's a line in the end like "can we be in this dream forever" which makes it kinda sad cause it's like he knows their dreams' not gonna last) etc are very similar. Ship Taekook or not, it's pretty difficult to miss their reference to each other in their songs and covers. Besides, they're the only two members who write love songs bout crime and sin. Idk whether I was the only one who noticed it tho. And also in this song, the lines 'are you calling me a sinner and it can't be erased, no matter how much I hide it, has no heterosexual explanation tbh.
@@arya.07 Woah! You got me surprised here that you checked my playlist! I am a hard Taekooker but I didn't write anything about JK anywhere to share the idea in general and so that the Homophobic ARMYs and the Other Shippers won't be here like going yelly "stop making V's life all about JK" LOL! @@tasneemyousif6553 Sorry for umm stalking your channel and playlist and everything 😂 Couldn't help it lol. Unfortunately there're a lot of dark hearted and blind people, in our own fandom, I hate to admit. Those people annoy the hell outta me. When it comes to Taekook they hate those 2 like their life depends on it but when it comes to other more delusional ships they don't have any prob. It's the worst when the most realistic ship is getting so much hate for just breathing. I just don't want to imagine Taekook reaction here. I'm scared of realisation they might never reveal and end up regretting everything. Hopefully the colorful dream they're in right now, where only 'those who love them' exist, lasts forever... This definitely a song for his siblings like, he probably doesn't have a strong relationship with them and maybe being oldest he wasn't there for them and they grew up not really knowing him ig and he talks about being hurt, i feel this will be in kth1
Idk I think it’s about his sexuality because a lot of things he says hint to what someone feels when coming out but you can look at other comments who explain it better than me lol although you do have an interesting theory and maybe he’s just talking about his sibling but something tells me the song has a very deep meaning and when he says brother and sister it’s probably just a way to conceal what he’s actually talking about but anyway idk that’s just my take on the song
He also never explained what the song was really about but the other members all explained their songs so if it was about his siblings I feel like he probably could’ve said that but if it’s about his sexuality that’s not something he can say because then he would just be coming out...

It’s okay if you think that but it actually makes sense if the song was an apology to his siblings
@@charlize6994 yeah it is, but apology about what? about something he and his siblings thinks it's STIGMA
And we don't use the word STIGMA often or in vain
And if you search a little, you will find that there is a certain category of people who are called this word
@@tassekkaoumaima4201 I personally think it's about him as an older brother not being there for his siblings as he left to pursue his dreams, and he is a very family-oriented person, he feels guilty that they have grown to be someone that doesn't know him and can't reach out to him and has failed to protect them by not being there.
@@zunairaimtiaz4783 I just don't see how this can be relating to not being there for his siblings, why would that be a "Stigma" and why would you say "are calling me a sinner?" These are quite harsh words for a boy to have on his conscience, just because he pursued a career as a music artist and he had to commit his whole life to it.
Seeing some of these comments makes me sad because people think this song is hot just because its Taehyung and in reality, its really sad. Dear Taehyung fans, its fine to think he's attractive because - well, he is - but please recognize when he's sad and don't let his good looks shield everything else. He's more than a hot guy who has a deep, 'hot' voice.

sometimes i think a song is truly as deep as the lyrics and i think this song is giving queer vibes and taehyung is addressing his siblings and family in this song. we know he is very close with his family but we simply don't know him we don't know his secrets or life. none of us no matter how big of a fan we are actually knows taehyung. so i feel like all i can say as someone who supports and loves him from afar is: amazing vocals, we love you, and thank you for making a song that speaks to the LBGTQ+ community even if you didn't mean it like that but lowkey we think u did lol
I personally thinks it's the song about LGBTQ+ community because why his family call him a sinner??? And what pain he is hiding for so long that now he can't hold longer.
