    I need to lift mine so as to be able to get in it! I’m 70 and getting in and out is the only thing I hate about my accord. 2” lift blocks would make me a happy man!

    Hey, I had a few questions if and when you get some time to answer.
    1. I have a FWD 2001 Cr-v do the spacers have any negative effects on the rear without the cv shafts for reinforcement?
    2. I’m looking to purchase ASR spacers 1.5/2.0 inch lift. Will I need to modify anything after adding these spacers I see some conflicting information about subframe drops on HRG.
    The whole idea behind the lift for my Cr-v isn’t for off-road ability it’s more to allow ample room for general grabbers at2 215/75r15 to try and give me some clearance for the yearly mild/moderate flooding that is a part of living in Houston. Not trying to turn it into a flood buggy just trying to add a little “assurance”.

    • @crv_tom
      @crv_tom  Před 3 lety +2

      With that size spacers you will be completely fine you will not need a supreme drop as long as you don't grow any bigger than that. Having a front-wheel drive will not make a difference and how the spacers will perform so you'll be good to go.

    • @CaptainTexas92
      @CaptainTexas92 Před 3 lety +3

      @@crv_tom thanks for the answer. Hopefully everything goes smooth with the lift. It’s a good little car it will feel a lot better to relax driving that on rainy days instead of my lowered civic.

    Any thoughts or guidance regarding a 2017 HRV LX front wheel drive? Looking to put on a hitch for a small trailer and was concerned about the added rear weight. My thoughts were the rear lowering too much and or in turn causing the front end to rise. Since it's a front wheel drive I worry about possibly losing some control and or traction on the front wheels while under load on the rear. Not looking to tow thousands of lbs but wanted to pre compensate the rear for the load. Maybe it'll be ok without, just thought I'd ask. I've considered slightly lifting the front and rear to allow larger, not so low profile, tires as well. Been scouring different sites and really haven't found any lifting advice regarding any of this with my vehicle. Thankyou for doing this segment.

    • @Chubbydippin
      @Chubbydippin Před 2 lety +1

      I don't know if it even matters, but I forgot to mention my 2017 hrv is a 6 speed manual transmission. Thanks again.

    • @crv_tom
      @crv_tom  Před 2 lety +2

      I honestly think you'll do just fine and you don't have to worry too much as long as you drive responsibly you should have much of an issue but one thing you could look into is a stiffer spring if they offer one for the rear end or possibly a mild lift front and rear and then add a stiffer strut and spring.

    Hi, Great Video as always, I asked a question on your other video about a 1-inch lift spacer in the front and a 1.5 lift spacer in the rear for my 04 CRV. However, with the lift spacers does this mean the front will be lifted 1.5 to 2~ inches and the rear will be lifted 2.5 to 3~ inches am I understanding this correctly?

    • @crv_tom
      @crv_tom  Před 3 lety +1

      Yes that is pretty much how it will work if I am not super efficient at explaining this who is much better at this than me is Ben from hrg or Jake they can explain it very well.

    Question.....What else is needed to lift? Can I do 1.5 inch spacers on a gen1 crv without anything else like adjustable arms, camber bolts?

    • @crv_tom
      @crv_tom  Před rokem +1

      You should be fine you shouldn't need anything else with that low of a lift with everything stock you should be able to still make the adjustment, of course some camber kits would probably help dial it in a little bit better but you'll be okay with the stock stuff.

  • @mrcreamy6006

    • @crv_tom
      @crv_tom  Před rokem +2

      With 2 in you can get away with it but I would recommend still doing a subframe drop if you're going to keep the vehicle and want to get the best longevity out of it.
