My sewing room is exactly the same! I regularly clean and tidy my space but as I run a business from that room it is crazy messy alot of the time. My business motto is 'Creativity is a messy business' because it's true! You cannot be a maker without making a mess 🤣 I also find when I tidy everything away I can never find anything, so end up taking everything out of it's place to find things. I like to say it's organised chaos 😂
Yes I think you’re right. I think in my head it needs to be tidy but my heart knows it’s a working room just like your as so it needs to say just as it is cos it’s working for me. Maybe when I fully retire I’ll make it into the dream craft room I think I need. lol
Hi Jeanette, don't apologise for not coming in to see us, you're entitled to a bit of rest time. I love Star and her earrings are a brilliant idea, can't wait to see her all finished. Your craft room isn't messy, it's still possible to walk around without climbing over things 😂. Mine is my happy place, I can sit in there for hours and be very productive making things or just faffing!! Periodically I have a massive tidy up and then can't find anything until it's back to how it was, as you say "organised chaos". I remember the World Cup in 1966 which was the year we were married and Kenneth Wolstenholme saying "they think it's all over ... it is now!". Enjoy the match tonight x
I do love being in my creative space, it calms me and makes me at peace with the world, which these days isn’t always easy to do.
And like you it isn’t really messy it’s a working space as well as my hobby. Xx

Hi Jeanette, I love those little earrings, they make it just perfect. The notebook cover is lovely too, I made one with a friend years ago but nothing like as good as that one. I’m like you about the tidiness of the craft room so I just have to close the door on it sometimes! 😂 Gutted about the football 😢. I hope all goes well with Zac at the vet tomorrow. Everything crossed for him. 🤞🏻

Hello dear Jeanette - thanks for sharing your cute Chrissy makes ❤ as for your craft room - if you know where everything is that’s all that matters! My husband was listening to you as well (doing the Sunday crossword at the dining table ) and his comment was “I think Jeanette’s just like me when I get busy in my workshop” - which he always is - he also has a sign in his workshop which says “A tidy workshop is a sign of a sick mind” 😂 have a lovely day 😊

It was such a lovely surprise to receive a gift Tracy. We did indulge last night with some chocolate while we watch football, it was delicious. Unfortunately we lost but I had fun watching, it was a good match I thought. Xxxx
I had to give up my paper crafting as it took over and I have to say encouraged me to hoard! Also the items I took hours to make just sat there 🥴
Yes I can understand that and I’m only just starting out. I love to paper craft and it gives my wrists a break from crochet. I honestly don’t think I could just sit and do nothing, I’d go stir crazy. 🤪
It saddened me but I work full time, have no designated crafting space and something had to give but that’s not to say I couldn’t do it again later on for now yarn crafts are enough. It’s lovely to see what you create though and your craft room is amazing ❤

Hi, I think a messy craft room means an awesome crafter with many ideas. I can't work in an area that is totally clean and tidy. What did you use for the mouse whiskers? Star looks awesome with earrings. Hugs from Minnesota, USA!!!
I do like a tidy place but I agree with you it’s so hard to work and stay tidy. I’ve used a very fine and flexible jewellery wire, it works so well and very inexpensive.
Mmmm! I wonder if anyone will comment saying their craft room is pristine 😂 I’m constantly tidying mine and it only lasts a few weeks. I do a mega clean and tidy twice a year but it never looks ideal!
I think in my mind I need a perfect craft room, and in reality it’s also my work place. Maybe when I retire I’ll make it into the perfect space for crafting. Who knows 🤷🏽♀️
