WOW!!! Lots of improvements!! I loved the V1 and most people didn't want to believe that the plane was actually faster than the 80mm Freewing version once it got up to speed. It isn't the size that makes you think its faster... it ACTUALLY IS FASTER by about 5-10mph!! With this new set up it for sure will be a screamer!! I am for sure getting another! I still have the plane saved in my radio so will just need to rebind! WOW! Great review and I am pumped!!!

The Avanti is a better choice over the other 80mm options....it's cheaper and you can still run 7s with an esc upgrade

Hey Rich, I have the v1 and was wondering are the gear bays on the v3 alot bigger? Much different? I'm wondering if you could upgrade the v1 gears to v3 gears?
Rich, do you know why FMS have a 60amp XT 60amp connector on a motor that generates 68amp instead of using n XT90?

I have the freewing 80mm version. I wonder how this compares to it? I like that it's smaller but it's going to be tough for this to compare I'm guessing because the freewing version is the best sport jet I've flown. Even if it's close I'd be happy though. :) Great video cant wait to see how you feel about it after flying.

Hi Steve, I like this jet and would like to have thrust reversing on it. This Avanti comes with a Predator 80A 5A BEC. If I swap it with an Avian 100A 8A Bec, can the electronics be harmed due to the higher amperage? The Avian 80A ESC also has an 8A BEC, so I figured the 100A might be better, but I don't know a lot about amperage and how higher or lower numbers can affect the electronics. I would appreciate any info you can offer on this. Thanks Steve and I really like your videos.
The Avian should give you the ability to reverse it. However, I'm not sure if you will smoke the ESC. Going to 100 on the ESC will certainly reduce that possibility. Also, the motor could overheat.

It appears they did not use a true hinge, instead a foam hinge which is not as durable. Everything else looked good. Likely not as nice as the Freewing version, getting one anyway.
Mark, thanks for the great comment! This is a really great model... even the hinges on my original V1 AVANTI are still working great! FMS hinges are tough and laminated with a rubbery material for strength. The Avanti has a very wide flight envelope and will fly slowly to land, but is also a pocket rocket! I don’t understand why they put a X60 on a 6s Rich. I’m like you all 6s has EC5. Do they make that adapter? Just pushed the button on it. Love the LEDs you know me, but why blackout canopy. Beautiful paint job.👍🏻✌🏻🖖🏻
Thanks for getting it thru my link! The factory told me that most people have the yellow connectors but I think that's must be in China! We all have the blue ones here. You should be able to get an adapter for it however I usually de-solder the yellow connector and add my own blue one.
One thing to notice fms usually uses backplate and thr jets how come none on this one its glued in only weird
Hopefully the shipment comes in ....with everything going on in China this might get delayed....the plane looks like a great candidate for higher kv fan upgrades and 7s power ....I wasn't impressed with the Futura v2 for the added cost over the Avanti
I have one and suddenly everything with the exception of one elevator servo are not working. Electric ducted fan is OK. Other servos and retracts are dead. ESC still puts out correct voltage for BEC. I tried disconnecting all servos and plugging directly into Rx. No luck. Tried different ESC, Rx's with no luck. Anyone experience the same issue? Battery is 6S Graphene 3000 mAh
6s 5000 mah will fit size is 15.8x 5 cm let me know thanks
I have not tried it, I think the Admiral 5000 50c would be the best fit as it is the smallest 5000 pack I know of:)

They are gonna upgrade to v2 v3 whatever they got rid of predator esc crap and use the hw stuff thank god so new motor and all that looks nice I like the v1 still a fast airframe
