I had the good fortune to study with Jamgon Kongtrul on several occasions when he came to the West and he was a wonderful teacher with a deep personal understanding of the teachings and the ability to connect with people and share the wisdom of his lineage. I had the opportunity to have interviews with him and had a strong desire to study with him more and was saddened when he passed so unexpectedly. Thank you Rinpoche for sharing the teachings.
I met Rimpoche in India years ago about 1976 in Delhi at the Ashoka Hotel and tried to teach him how to swim! He was so very nice and I was sad later to hear that he had so unexpectedly passed away. It was a great loss to all of us, but when HHK died, his heart was so sad and he felt that he could not continue without HHK. In this life, I have heard that he wishes to be a doctor and I hope that in that role he will find the cures for many ills. His great spiritual gifts should help him a great deal to instinctively put his knowledge to use in finding the cures. Om Mani Padme Hum.
Dear Friends, I think this is Karmapa singing the 25 Chariots at the beginning of the video, is that so? please correct the caption. or link to the original recording, sounds sooo beautiful!! Sarva mangalam.
The third Jamgon shouldn't have killed himself. He gave away his protective Talisman. He should have kept living for a much longer time. Terrible accidents and low causes of death does not spell The Conquering of certain things going on in one's Spirit.

I was wondering about the text being chanted 6:27 to 14:17.
❤😊❤
