I saw Ali perform for the first time in November. Homie OWNS the stage. best stage presence I've ever seen, period. Dude performed with Slug and deM atlaS.

you know, I'm actually not a huge fan of his music. I like it, he's definitely got skills, but it's not really my favorite. but live he is the best I've ever seen, and that's next to slug, prof, and dem atlas.
I've seen him in London, Ottawa and twice in Toronto! Saw that same show back in November? and another one from 2013. I was out having a smoke and he walked to the club by himself I saw him cross the street and asked for a quick photo he told me to walk in with him and we'd grab one after the show. Made for a good night!

Audiophysical you honestly think Ant didn't clear this sample? He's been producing sample laden tracks for over 20 years, he knows what he's doing.
That's why it's a shame, I know it isn't cleared brother. NZ is a small place and people have shared this with them, it was news to the Drop.
It's not a sample, it's a performed derivative work. The similarity is closer than that of the case involving Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" and a Marvyn Gaye song. It's not a stolen loop, it's a close copy.

big fan of Fat Freddy's Drop here. I was kinda surprised when I heared this beat. Great job with the execution but this sounds so close to the original version of "Ernie" I feel like there should be more credit given to the guys from New Zeland.
