- Season 2 / Episode 9 - Overland Vagabond.
Buckle up! Lots of dash-cam clips of the Pamir Highway towards the Wakhan Corridor! The Panj River Valley that divides Afghanistan from Tajikistan for hundreds of kilometres is full of wild foxtail flowers, has impervious cliffs and is one of the bumpiest tracks in all of Asia. We also visit a few Zoroastrian temples and are wonderfully greeted by local kids.

Thank you for your support!
Amazing, better than a National Geographic dicumentary! Pleasant music, distinguished narration, map, history, really enjoyable video!
I wonder if the Wakhan Corridor could be crossed with Afghan and Pakistani visa.
Thanks much 🙏! Stay tuned, we have lots of raw material from seasons 3 and 4, just need time to edit it into videos. Currently busy preparing season 5, and a big surprise to be revealed in due time.
Regarding Wakhan Corridor, you can cross into Afghanistan at at least two bridges. Not easy with a vehicle though, and I’m now aware whether they grant you VoA, probably not.
Maybe one day we will try… Cheers, Marcel
A beautiful journey, a beautiful movie.
Thanks much - Next episode will be released tomorrow.
Whatever . Has a scent almost beautiful. Streammmmmmmm.
I love your documentary video's - have seen all of them until this date, and I think you give many details that are also important for others who wish to take the same trip. Looking forward to seeing more.
Hi Eirik,
I’m sincerely touched by your words of encouragement, and delighted that as a potential future overlander you like our videos so much - means our objective is achieved (see OverlandVagabond.com).
New episodes will be edited and posted when we’re back from our new adventure called Season 4 and 5. In the meantime, perhaps check our blogs on Instagram and Facebook, these are also good sources of travel documentation.
Cheers, Marcel
Once again an excellently done report for what is probably one of the most exciting and fascinating stretches in Central Asia

Now Alhamdulillah security in Afghanistan, I hope that he will come to Afghanistan and go to Wakhan through Afghanistan
Hi Abdul - Thanks for your comment and invite! When traveling, particularly in those areas we like the most, we try not to exhaust visits to sites and places, so that we always have a good reason to come back. Afghanistan is certainly on our wish list, and we strongly hope to visit it through the Wakhan. Stay tuned, it may well happen one day!

Happy you liked it and thanks for the flowers! Stay tuned for many more episodes to come...
Fantastic Video - sitting in Malaysia under lock-down gives my mind at least for 14.29 min a positive relief.
Sorry to hear you’re still in lockdown mode… crossing fingers for you! Wait for the 2nd part of Tajikistan (Zorkul National Reserve), that’s pure adventure!
Nice video, do you have a detailed route ?
Hi Emil - We have a few clips about routes on our website OvelandVagabond.com, check please the Routes section. Else let me know what you specifically need. Cheers.
Lovely to see an area where zoroastrians are following their religion in peace. They suffered a lot in hands of Islam in Iran.
Indeed! There are however several areas in Central Asia where Zoroastrianism is widely and freely practised.
👍👍👍
