Azizhah, I was watching a channel called "Inky Rocks." The woman who hosts the channel interviewed an ink expert in Japan. During the interview, the guest speaker mentioned your pink ink. I thought it was interesting that they mentioned your ink as part of the ink trend here in Japan.

Great review! Love the F-C Flex EF. Even without flexing, it somehow gives my writing some lovely character when I write in cursive. And the feedback is just perfect...I have it in my Intrinsic Model 02 Antique Glass-Cathedral and it's become my daily writer.

You look so cute with your hat ❤️ You’re beautiful inside & out 💚 Believe me, you don’t look “tired & dead”. A friend just brought me an Aurora 88 from Italy. Blessings in health & peace to all from NYC 🙏

That's a fantastic nib, Azizah. I tend to shop a great deal with Franklin-Christoph - unprecedented writing instruments, & as a result of this video, will source that very nib, today. In terms of the railroading aspect, perhaps the good folks of F-C need to re-design the feed, in order to cope with the issue you demonstrate, here. Always a pleasure to watch yours & Stephen's videos - do take care, both,
    Andrew :D

I've had one for a couple weeks and while I have no real skill with flex writing it is SUPER fun.

Very informative. Really enjoyed the thoroughness of this review. Your style is perfect for this nib. This gives me an "excuse" to purchase a FC.
From an artistic point of view, sometimes the "railroading" can be used as an esthetic flair in writing....since writing is an art for in itself. Just my 2 cents.
After checking the site, under their #6 nibs, I didn't see anything for an EF flex. Did I miss a certain category ? Or is this new enough of a nib that it didn't catch up with updating their nib seleections?
Thanks again....and a job well done.

Yeah, an Azizah "fix"! ... and a Merry Christmas to you too. (Late for 2019 or early for Christmas 2020?)
Q: do you find that flex and semi-flex nibs widen the more you use them? Do they begin to "tire" and fail to return to their designated fine or medium or broad designations?

A more flexible nib than say the Noodlers triple tail three tine nib. I tried an FPR but the feeds are fire hoses and looking for some aftermarket feeds. '

They appear to be sold out at present, and the price quoted for it is now $30.
Is the feed the same as for the other nibs, or is it optimized for flex?

Is there a right way to hold the pen to make the nib flex? I seem to have trouble getting the variation maybe because I’m afraid of damaging nib.

How does this nib compare with Fountain Pen Revolution’s Ultra Flex stainless steel nib in terms of snapback?

I don't suppose they offer an ebonite feed to go with it? Beautiful pen.

DO you think that a more "jiucy" feed will make a diference in the railroad?

Hi Azizhah, how does this compare to an FPR Ultra Flex EF or a Pilot Namiki Falcon SEF ? I prefer to write small characters when writing so I really need the nibs to be very fine when not flexed. The Pilot Falcon SEF is superfine and I an able to write incredibly small. I love it, but it has too much feedback.

    • @gourmetpens
      @gourmetpens  Před 3 lety

This is not as fine as the Falcon SEF but it's not nearly as feedback-y either. I haven't used the FPR Ultra Flex EF so I can't say.

do you know if this #6 nib will fit other pens that use a standard #6 nib?
    thanks
