Fun Fact: For Return of the Jedi, the Emperor's chair was mechanized so that it could rotate when the scene called for it. However, the mechanism never worked properly, so Ian McDiarmid had to make it move by shuffling his feet. A piece of tape on the floor told him when to stop so it would not be visible to the camera.

The scary thing about Wargames is that it very nearly happened in real life about a decade and a half later. Russian radar misinterpreted weather balloons as ICBMs, and had the officer in charge followed orders, we'd be in a nuclear war right now. And just like in the movie, a computer glitch really did cause a false launch detection in a different incident.

Its sad how many not very bright people also seem to ignore the actual overall message of the movie and instead seem to want to emulate the character.

Hi, a slight side track but still about film: can you plase create a tribute to the late and amazing Kevin Conroy? He passed away last year, and was the sole reason I got into acting. On MsMojo there was a video about the best voice acting in animatedmovies and I think he should've been included for his role in Batman the Mask of Phantasm (the scene at the cementary). I have a VA background and there are some preconceived notions that it's not as demanding as regular acting; but the vocal training itself and perfecting the craft may take more time than any acting school. l feel like he's very underrated as Batman and even non existent in the conversation.
PS. You almost saw me as Leon in those new Resident Evil games :)

It's a movie that I have seen multiple times on the CBC as well as other Canadian TV stations. I would have been too young to have actually seen the movie in 1983. When you said 'Pauline at the beach,' I heard,
    'Paul Lynde at the Beach'
(Which would be it's own disaster) But trust Brad's knowledge so much, that I thought. 'Shit, I've been saying his name wrong all this time!?!? LoL

1983 is a banger year. Don't know about the movies, but it's when I was born! Kidding, movies were great, especially my #1 favorite movie of all time, Scarface!

    Gotta agree with "ValleyGirl"... 😆
Still, Ep. VI is one of my favorite theater memories at age 5.
BTW, "Puberty Blues" was one of the influences on "Barbie" and was made into a TV miniseries in the 2000s.

First; Why is this not in your channel, Brad? I didn't realize it was out until YT randomly suggested it to me.
Second: Well, One Night in Heaven was the movie that made me realize I was gay, haha.

Glad to know I was born in a "lesser year for film, not one of the best."
I know that the Star Wars movie of all time came out in '83 and that's something.

I sure as hell remember that, 'face ripping Aliens'
    'Fangoria Magazine Cover!!!'
It may not be time yet for Robert England's Freddy, to grace the cover, (more times than any other actor) but if it wasn't for 'V' , the Nightmares that haunted us the rest of the decade, may never have been...

Well, considering Roger Moore was in Cannonball Run, back in 81. That movie could have been a curse for both,
although 5 year old me, could never get enough of
    'Cannonball Run'
