    Good video and good shooting concept. Kudos to the cameraman who tried airlessly to follow you :) Must say your presentation skills are great. The only thing which I think was a bit too much was the usage of too much superlatives. Otherwise as I said, the vid is great.

    Deck height difference?
    Deck length difference?
    Stem height difference?
    Quick release difference?
    Wheel height difference (8 to 10)
    A larger wheel will give you better roll, granted, buy the science behind it means the initial force to begin the roll would have to be greater.
    It's not a car so mpg can't be measured. But suffice it to say, the larger wheel is better for overall speed and distance but the initial input is greater - something a kicker won't feel.
    I had an a5 and I walked on it fir 8 weeks. Curb jumps, SF hills (rear brake heated up so much, my shoe sole melted into it s bit!)
    I've held onto pickup trucks and held the a5 by the center stem up the speeds of 20-25mph --- SCARY! BUT FUN.

    Does your knees hurt if you go over cracks with this? I had an A5 that was uncomfortable on the knees when going on the cracks (unfortunately, the only path to get to work), and while there are scooters with added suspension, they are a lot heavier (13 lbs). The one I was looking at was by XSPEC and it's cheaper than the A6 at $80, but heavier by 2lbs. I don't know if I should return it and get the A6 instead or stick with the XSPEC.

    • @Charris135
      @Charris135  Před 4 lety

      All these sorts of scooters rattle to some degree. I would say the A5 rattled more than the A6. The A6 specifically has an anti rattle mechanism inside the folding enclosure which I think accounts for a lot of the difference between the two.

    Are rubber tyres better than the plastic ones

    • @user-hv1yd2xr3o
      @user-hv1yd2xr3o Před rokem

      They are probably safer (more grip) but sluggish compared to the urethane (plastic) tyre. I've got an A5 air in addition to a A5 plastic tyre and I use it where the pavement is coarse. So it's a case of "different horses for different courses".

  • @MoPoppins
    @MoPoppins Před 6 lety +1

    Though this comment isn't directly relevant to the scooter itself, I would never have guessed 6'1" to be Charlie's height.
    I was debating whether I should get the Razor A5 DLX vs. Razor A6, and for $10 more (at Walmart), I might as well just get the A6, since it does take you farther, faster. The platform is the same height (right?), so the riding experience wouldn't vary from that standpoint (for us shorter people).
    Thanks, Charlie! And it's clear that you enjoy the entire video production process. It really is a lot of fun to create informative content to help your viewers make sound decisions. Keep honing your craft and perfecting your passion! Cheers. :)

    • @Charris135
      @Charris135  Před 6 lety +3

      The DLX could be the correct choice for you if portability is something you value. The A5 does weigh in at 8.8 lbs vs 11lbs for the A6. That can make a difference if you spend a lot of time carrying your scooter rather than riding it. The A6 works for me since I very rarely make use of the folding mechanism, but if you are commuting on a subway or something like that the A5 may be a better choice.
      Good luck with your scooting!
      Charlie

    • @MoPoppins
      @MoPoppins Před 6 lety

      Thanks, Charlie...that's something to consider. I do plan on taking the scooter when I use public transport, so I'll think about how significant that factor will be for me. I think I'll also rig up a shoulder strap for easier carrying, regardless of which model I end up going with.

    @user-pc1tn4qx4s Před 5 lety

  • @paulneri835
    @paulneri835 Před rokem +3

    I respectfully disagree with the overall finding that the A6 is superior to the A5. I think the A6 is not much better than the A5. Indeed I prefer the A5 because it is more nimble, a bit lighter and a cuter-scooter imo. My A6 is a big disappointment. I'd read the hype: " the Porsche of kick-scooters; almost pushes itself; amazing glide etc.". No.
    Pros
    Bit more confident going over cracks in the pavement due to the bigger wheels.
    I might have detected slightly more roll than the A5 hard-tyre but certainly not enough to write home about.
    It's a good kick-scooter.
    Cons
    It's a bigger, more imposing scooter and lacks that merge-with-the-crowd factor the A5 has which means pedestrians might scowl at you more? It's getting into bike territory.
    It's slightly heavier than the A5 but not significantly so.
    The longer deck is like a railway carriage (I think it's got a longer deck).
    The A5 is a little fighter and so light you could pick it up with one finger. It's an amazing form of transport for crowded areas - very unobtrusive. It's like a third leg. I'm very fond of my two A5s (hard/air tyre) but as yet I have not bonded with my A6. Hopefully it will happen in time. If it does I'll edit this comment.
    A5 rules!

    • @miltonbuu
      @miltonbuu Před 7 měsíci +1

      You hit the nail with this review. I find people less intimidated when they see me passing by them because I can easily slow down than kick off again. In the bus, I find the scooter to not tlstand out as much and able to hug in crowded transportation commutes and doesn't hit nobody. A even bigger scooter would than be a problem.

    • @Charris135
      @Charris135  Před 4 lety +1

      Yes. It's still a friction brake so it's not perfect, and you have to be careful on downhills and when its wet. In general, though, it performs well.

    • @etfhan
      @etfhan Před 4 lety +1

    • @Charris135
      @Charris135  Před 4 lety

      I've gone down freeway overpasses on my A6 and been able to control my speed. I would say it can go faster than the A5 downhill, but the braking is similarly efficient on both.

    As far as we know the PAW Patrol has the capabilities of international travel and possible covert operation capabilities. However, the PAW Patrol failed to assist in any way during the Iran Hostage Crisis of 1979, which is unacceptable seeing as the US diplomats were hostages from November 4, 1979, to January 20, 1981. Could it be that the PAW Patrol is run by Islamic extremist that utilize PAW Patrol to increase positive images of the extremist, while also taking money from the UN? Or that the PAW Patrol is US run, and was told by the CIA to not intervene with the hostage crisis? If it is the former, why so? Could the Iran Hostage Crisis be a hoax, used to crack down on Iran for bringing down the monarchy that was ruling Iran, made possible by a coop from the US and UK?
