finally something new,have been waiting for this for so long.If Yamaha are going to continue with snowmobile 4 stroke engines they need to boost the HP and lighten the chassis to make themselfes competitors to light 2 strokes.handling is everything and it is were Yamaha have been left behind by other brands.I really hope for this one...
Less work means you make it around the corner. Less work means more fun. Means more faster on corners. Means you're less likely to not get stuck off trail. Couch potatoes don't ever get on snowmobiles.
When I first heard it was a 998 turbo I was thinking it was the sled of my dreams...., with the apex 4 cylinder engine in the new chassis and a turbo....please make that sled...this is still a very cool sled but I'm alittle disappointed.
No snowsnakes please, can't tell people I've pranked that there's actual sidewinders stuck somewhere in the snow. LED looks cool but I wouldn't brag about 800cc performance leaders, if I ran a 998cc Turbo 4-stroke... Just sayin'
Yamaha needs to work on their video making skills. I see a lot of trail riding, not much for actually testing the sleds in the mountains..👎🏻 I tried Yamaha for a couple seasons and was only disappointed with it. Wouldn't go back.

Yamaha is starting to hit closer to the bulls eye. But like another poster said below the weight needs to be shaved to make it more fun and less work.

998 cc, intercooled turbo is 800 class? maybe when you figure in the weight

in the 80's yamaha's were the best, now too hard for maintenance and fuel economy isn't that great.... way to heavy. overall they suck.

how about a new apex please I love my but it's getting dated
they should just give up, a turbo doesn't help the weight or the twitchy front end.
Tony Peressini all the snowmobiles I ever ridden has a twitchy front end, stock skis and aftermarket skis don't help

if your cryin about weight you cant handle this kind of power, get a doo freestyle, learn how to ride then get a winder
