- Welcome to my Making The Case series! Where we take an in-depth look at The Pokemon Trading Card Game's history and the strongest pokemon it has ever featured! Today we are looking at Genesect! One of my personal favourites! Genesect EX, Genesect V and even shining Genesect have all been cards we have seen do extremely well in the Pokemon TCG but is that enough for Genesect to be given the crown of strongest pokemon in the Pokemon TCG?

I really enjoy playing the pokemon tcg nothing is better then a good pokemon card pack opening if the pokemon cards are worth money its even better. getting into a pokemon card battle is also fun. Of course playing the pokemon tcg is my forte! like how to build a pokemon deck and playing the pokemon tcg online is how I spend most of my evenings. Pokemon tcg tournament are also great and if you even need any help on how to play the pokemon tcg then let me know! Dont forget you can also open pokemon tcg pack online too! Ive never got to open packs with leonhart or randolph but hopefully will soon! Not pokemon vgc pokemon vgc online or pokemon tcg world championships. Building pokemon decks is very fun! watching other deck profiles and deck lists is very helpful

Awesome video! I hope Zoroark gets a case in the future. Stand in and Riotous beating are legendary cards on its own and also got decent cards like the vstar or phantom transformation. The top pokémon of the modern era tcg for sure!

Wow I didn't know Genisect had such a crazy TCG history. I only know him as my amazing Mew draw engine, who knew there was many years and amazing decks in their past life lol. I can't wait to see more of these videos, I think this is an amazing idea. Keep up the stellar work man.

I just got back into playing the TCG, I remember loving playing this card and building around it. Genesect was already one of my favorite Pokémon. I was no way a hyper-comp player but it was always fun to use it.

Man this is amazing i havent seen much videos like this they are just very fun to watch. I got some world champions pack 2022. The cards were signedby somebody named André Cihao or something(im pretty sure you mentioned him) like that i got

I think Intelleon should be mentioned. I mean both his Vmax cards were really good and his shady dealings card makes him one of the best draw engines of all time.
Even the quick shooting Intelleon is a good card, too.
Idk, but it is like every card of Intelleon was insane.
Inteleon has had some stinkers tho ngl! And the vmax's were only midtier competitive threats at best i think 😭

Ampharos and Sylveon are my favorites but I’m not sure if the few playable cards they have outweigh the countless bulk cards lol.

Hmm, I wonder which deck won worlds last year… I wonder. Lol. Imo the only Pokemon which gives Genesect a run for its money is Sableye. Seriously, there was the flash-in-the-pan Guardians Rising Sableye, fringe Sableye V and Mega Sableye & Tyranitar GX, the strong Junk Hunt Sableye, the currently dominating Lost Mine Sableye, and the most broken card of all time, Stormfront Sableye. But while Sableye has had more relevant cards and higher highs, it’s also had SOOO MANY garbage bulk prints
Sableye is a top contender but Gardevoir is probably the favourite for now! Im looking to restart tbis series real soon! Appreciate your support!
Mew definitely has a case for being the best pokemon in the TCG. Well over half of its printings have seen competitive play and it has been the star player in (at least) 2 worlds winning decks (2006 and 2019).

Great video. I think the biggest deterrent for genesect's case is since it depends heavily on its 2 crazy good cards, it pales in comparison to sableye. Genesects 2 cards are some of the best in the game, dont get me wrong, but they arent even close to either of sableye's 2 absolutely BROKEN cards.

Jirachi would be a great choice! Never the allstar of a deck but almost every single Jirachi has seen play.

Love the video and the idea! Here's a few I can think of
Dragonite: lots of good cards over the years and a variety of different ways it's played.
Electrode: not as much recently, but some pretty stellar sacrifice for energy in the early years.
Golbat/Crobat: interesting ways to drop damage.
Empoleon: iirc DP empoleon and diving draw empoleon were good
Lugia: main part of LBS, Team Plasma, and then another solid EX. Oh and the new dominant V Star
Archeops: I know it only has like two good cards, but one of them got banned
Shaymin: two good EX cards, and a solid HGSS era card
Jirachi: lots of good ways to search useful cards
Dusknoir: Lv X, DP Dusknoir and Boundaries Crossed dusknoir all solid
Absol: Plasma Absol, Absol ex, Roaring Skies Absol iirc had decent success
Metagross: Delta Metagross, Metagross GX, Hidden legends
Magnezone: Prime, Lv X and Storefront defiantly had success
Flygon: several creative ways it's played over the years
Donphan: Prime, Plasma Freeze are the two that come to mind immediately
Vileplume: Dark Vileplume, Undaunted Vileplume, Ancient Origins Vileplume were all irritating item lock pokemon
I guess I got a little carried away there...
Some good ones here for sure! But some of my ten you have missed 😉

I would say oranguru is the best pokemon on a card. Besides the oranguru V i think all the cards were very good and played a lot, one being even banned.

I feel like "bulk" cards aren't a mark against a pokemon in the same way as "this card is meant to be good and just isn't" is - something like Drapion VSTAR or SCV Dondozo ranks lower than a random bulk rare in my book

I think a good guideline for what cards even *can* be bad is "has this Pokemon been mentioned by name in promotional material" - Build and Battle Boxes, set descriptions, Trainer's Guides, etc. For example, Radiant Steelix is worse than EVS Galarian Moltres but the random Steelix from Battle Styles isn't even much of a footnote.
