People don't invest because they are the dullest tools in the shed and/or bad with money. They probably haven't read the first book on the topic let alone many books. 😐
While I certainly agree in some cases, as a financial educator I have to try and remain positive and just keep pushing my message out, trying to reach as many people as possible. Many do listen! :-)
And that's actually what the vast majority of the investing public does. As a financial advisor, I'm all for it, as long as they continue investing in some way. Not everyone needs to be a stock guru. Keep it simple!

Most people would do fine with mutual funds.

TLDR: They want to stay poor

I got serious about investing in my mid-30s...better late than never!
