I hated how they treated holly at the start. You can tell that she was really hurt by it and still is.
I read her book years ago and the way a lot of the cast/media treated her was disgusting. I’m glad to see her happy and thriving now.
I actually hated holly she cried every episode and was boring

I was soooo young when I first watched this. I’m 22 now and I’ve been binge watching from series 6 so seeing all this again is mental. Still hurts my heart to see how they treated holly at the start, but I truly don’t think they knew they were going to become the family they are today.

Holly is sooo harsh on herself. Girl you were 18! Relax- we all had ridiculous style. She is such a sweetie 💖💖💖and it is great to see her growth. Marnie is a mean girl, always was and still is. "The Posh and Beckham of Middle..." Hahaha!" Too sly.

I 100% agree! Holly is too critical of her younger self- we were all ridiculous at some stage. Luckily for the rest of us it wasn't broadcast worldwide!

Out of all surgeries I think Holly truly upgraded a lot and she is truly so beautiful and natural. It was also amazing to see how much she mentally grew up. I remember how childish and emotional she used to be, and now she is way way more mature and more calm. Crazy to think Aaron, Marnie and Gaz have kids. They seemed the least parent types in this show

Technically Scott isn't an OG. I know he joined early, but Geordie Shore was already massive when he joined. It was massive because of the actual original cast, including Jay. Vicky, Gaz, Holly and Charlotte are the true OGs. Because they were there before the fame and they have the biggest brands now.

Scotty T wasn’t here since season 1 but he was a newbie that made an impact that he is considered an OG. He and Charlotte are my favs

It’s hard to like someone who is deliberately intimidating to all new arrivals and is so hypocritical. Slagged people off for cheating yet cheated. Shouted at people for having bust ups yet always had bust ups. No one could tell her how bullying she was as she would kick off. It amazes me that she was able to get people to like her in all the reality shows she did if they even did really like her.

I’m literally binge watching geordie shore for the first time ever, I love it but I’m 10 years too late😂😂😂🤣 all the cast look so different, I can see they’ve had surgery but they still look great as they did, some will say they’ve ruined their face from the Botox and that, but personally if they are happy then whats it got to do with anyone else. 💖

I will forever be confused on the way they treated Holly in season 1. For someone reason they just all hated her but from what we seen she hadn’t really do anything “wrong” to them.

This comment section is rude af and so hypocritical. So many people are praising and uplifting Holly while hating on Charlotte's looks and saying she "used to be" beautiful. Charlotte is still a very beautiful woman! If you believe Charlotte enhanced some of her features because of confidence issues why are you commenting negatively on the way she looks now? Instead of getting hate for not looking like this, she now gets hate for having these features. That's not going to make her feel any better about herself! And besides, Holly has a similar face and she didn't always look that way yet no one is saying she "used to be naturally beautiful". Or is it just that someone are allowed to do it and others aren't?
I think people are trying to compliment Charlotte for being naturally beautiful, and people are wishing she didn't have confidence issues back then, which lead to her plastic surgeries. Naturally beautiful means no plastic surgery. So saying she "used to be naturally beautiful" is just acknowledging that she was beautiful before the surgery. Nobody is saying she isn't beautiful now, but it's not "natural" anymore.

You watch Geordie Shore from season 9 onwards. New people were welcomed in and called family. For the original girls and Marnie they got rinsed by their housemates and the media. Surprised they ended up with any confidence tbf
I liked the first season. It was real and unscripted. It wasn’t til season 2 when the show was made more dramatic to increase viewer interest.
The show was made more dramatic after S4, not S1. The Cancun season, S3, was still super real and unscripted. It's only when Scotty T arrived in S4 and the whole Amsterdam season when they were obviously scripting scenes.

@@sall87174 I think that applies more to Charlotte. If Gary left the show, she would have been fine. But having him around all the time just made her love life impossible. I think Gary was always able to separate himself from Charlotte when he needed to. He's less emotional in general.

I enjoyed watching Geordie Shore. Very nice show, lots of fun and educational in a way, because it showed you don't have to fill your lips, or change anything else about your body, to look beautiful. The natural look of women and men should be appreciated. Little bit of make-up won't hurt anyone, but I don't understand why a lot of people want to look like an unnatural pumped up plastic Barbie or Ken doll.
