    This is hands down the most real and entertaining diabetes video I have seen. The candor, the cig, the tatts - you are the first person doing these that I felt like I could relate to at all. Chemo turned me into a type 1 2 years ago, and it's been a freaking miserable "journey" (gawd how I hate that word for crap like this, journeys are supposed to be fun). I am getting a pump at some point, so I have been watching vids so that I know my stuff before I go to the endo. Thanks for this, hope you are well.

    WOW! You did a great job of showing and explaining how you insert the Trusteel infusion set! I am going back to infusion sets from being on an Omni pod so I thought I would brush up on my infusion set insertion skills. Your video was very helpful and I really appreciate it! Thanks so much, ~Antonio

    Thanks for the very informative video, showing how you can always gain insights from another TD1. My husband has been having occlusions every other day, sometimes he can resume and it works, mostly he has to change it out. He's been a TD1 for 55 years, onset at 18 yrs, been on a pump for 15 yrs., Tandem & Dexcom 1 1/2 yrs. We've heard they're now making 3 different angles on Tru Steel infusion sets, instead of the standard 90 degree. A chance it will help reduce occlusions. You do need to constantly rotate the point of insertion. Look forward to more videos.

    I enjoyed your video. Thank you. Have you tried inserting the TruSteel in your arms? I’d really like to try my arms but I’m afraid you’d need a third arm to do that!

      Hi and thanks, glad you enjoyed it...,insertions not a problem ,it's the tubebrouting that's the tricky part

    Thanks for the video! I just got a box of these to try.
    I’m lean too so I got the 6 also.
    I was on the Autosoft 90. Kept on getting bent cannulas.
    So do you not disconnect for showers??

      Hi I definitely put in the cover over my infusion set,unless it's time to change it,it allways must stay protected!

    Hi! Thanks for this video. I was thinking of trying the Trusteel (I've been on the Autosoft 90s) but I'm afraid it will hurt putting in without the auto inserter. Does it hurt, or do you not feel it? Is it similar to using an insulin pen to inject? Thanks in advance.

    How long does an infusion set last? Longer than 2 days possibly?

    • @Joeboost8805
      @Joeboost8805  Před 4 lety +1

      Metal canula tru-steel 24-48 hours ,and plastic canula depending on your body and insertion 3 days max if your OK with needles,which I wasn't ,but I highly recommend the varisofts
