Thanks for this. Would you have any advice on how to do it without a team member?

Well we don’t advise diving solo. So we assume you always have at least one diver helping you. At some point its just too much gear for one diver. IE: Carrying a scooter, fins, 2 deco, and a stage is not easy.
If you dive with your team and you have let's say only 2 deco cylinders. And diving on a twinset. You could clip off the fins and carry the cylinders in each hand.

@@benbos1925 Thanks, I agree regarding solo diving especially on big technical dives (hence more stuff to carry), however it is still nice to find new techniques to become more self reliant even if there are team members around.

When we dive I normally stage all my deco bottles in about waist high water on a leash with an smb attached to mark their location. I do this first before getting into the rest of my gear.
After I suit up, I walk into the water, don my fins, don my deco bottles and finally deflate and stow my smb.
When getting out after the dive I reverse the process and retrieve my bottles from the water after i have doffed the rest of my gear.
