I can't believe they're getting rid of the turn based combat. Thats what made it so tactical in the first place.

Definitely going to wait on reviews before picking this one up. Loved the first game, but since this is being made by a different team in a completely different style, might as well treat it like a different game. The fact that steam compared it to XCOM the Bureau is telling. Fingers crossed.
The topic 'Cold War' is very interesting. Should be used more often in other games.

As a turn based game, it works well and should be expended upon the first. Very few games like XCOM worth playing, a sequel to the first potentially could have be a push in the right direction. As a third person shooter? - Removes any appeal to the game for me personally.
As the game is based on XCOM i assume the devs already knows how XCOM-Declassified is not that good as the others in the franchise. And they still take this approach, make me very worried. Especially this trailer looks really cheap to me.

Phantom Doctrine was one of the best turned based games i ever played. I don't think i'd be getting 'The Cabal' at all.
Can't believe they turn this to third-person game, but it's still welcome, given the death of MGS and no new reports of Splinter Cell.
Also the game reportedly still have the base management and squad management so it's a welcome.
Well, I really enjoyed the first one, so I hope this one will be at least equally as good as the first, but I hope it will be even better.
Didn't they learn from X-Com Declassified? This move is...very unusual to say the least. I wish them best of luck, but it kinda dwindled my interest a fair bit. Can we atleast bring a party of ridiculously customizable blank slates we can dress up and control in the battlefield Mass Effect-style?
Even the premise doesn't sound that appealing: instead of a high-stakes Cold War conspiracy, it's just the same old Splinter Cell story

for the first game, PLEASE fix/add: if not already, weapons should be visible (rifles) on characters (on back, slung and holsters, etc.) and not stored via magic pockets; ability to zoom more closer; bigger fonts as text and subtitles are impossible to read even on huge tv screens, destructible objects; passport photos should match characters, etc. please polish the first phantom doctrine.

Very Dissatisfied and Disappointed - not only did you not support the original game with much/any worthwhile dlc but you replaced the entire production team and then made the sequel lose the core of the game... Please go back to the drawing board and add in Turn Based Gameplay.
If people wanted 3rd Person gaming then they wouldn’t play Xcom/Phantom Doctrine.
The fact you can have bugs in the original game where your best spy is falsely marked a traitor and you can’t do anything about it - you guys acknowledged the issue on discord and never fixed it and many other first game issue. Fix that game then fix this game.

Explain why do you want to make this a 3rd person shooter, when the X-Com strategy part was what made your game so enjoyable for the players? That and the premise are what brought the them to you, in the first place. A premise that sounds way better than the one we currently have, to be honest.
