The Darkness introduced me to you guys, you guys introduced me to the awesomeness that is Blackberry Smoke (and also Greta Van Fleet from another video!).
This was top. My daughter absolutely loves country, and I'm off to see The Shires with her in May. I personally love The Cadillac Three. Black Stone Cherry's dalliances into country are always quality. Matter of Time is the Wagons' most country song for me. Shane xxx
Id say youre right with Matter of Time, that and Big Time, both air on the side or country i suppose. Do you listen to Blackberry Smoke or The White Buffalo? Both awesome, Baz

Love some Garth Brooks. But as you say, it’s the rocking country songs “Ain’t Going Down ‘til The Sun Comes Up”, “Papa Loved Mama”, “The Thunder Rolls”. I watched an interview with Garth Brooks once where he referred to himself as a George Strait wannabe. So, me wanting more Garth style music, I picked up a best of George Strait. It couldn’t be any more stereotypical “My wife ran off with my dog and my truck and now I’m drinking in a bar to try to forget it” if it tried. That’s when I realized that I like country so long as it’s not too country!
Haha Garth Brooks was the big turning point for country wasnt it, the guy just too it to a new level! Have you listened to much Blackberry Smoke? Thats the ultimate in rockin country, Little piece of Dixie and The Whippoorwill are amazing albums! Baz

I mean Blackberry Smoke are like the ultimate rock fan gateway band into country really in my opinion, the album a Little Piece Of Dixie and The Whippoorwill are just incredible! Try the White Buffalo too, Love and death of Damnation is an amazing album, anything more country and you’d best speak to Alex hahaha, try some Luke Combes, that lad is bloody ace!! The track When it rains it pours is a country masterpiece, Baz
