Lost in the Jungle: The quest for the silver monitor

In the fall of 2022, a group of German adventurers follow in the footsteps of the great explorers and venture into the wild jungle of North Halmahera. It's the first time ever that foreigners set foot in this centuries-old primary rainforest.
They are looking for a way across the island all the while trying to find a legendary animal: The silver monitor lizard has not been scientifically documented for 40 years, perhaps it has fallen victim to hunting and the illegal pet trade and become extinct. Does it still exist?

The video quality, the music, the small effects, the drone videos, this whole level of cinematography is incredible.
And Mother Nature is just magnificent, the spiders, the sun light through the leaf-ceiling as you described it, the sudden sound of wings of a Hornbill giving birth to a still jungle listening to it fluttering. Do I even need to add an adjective to that ?

Danke! Soweit ich mich erinnere, stellte es sich als ein ungefährliches Exemplar heraus, mehr weiss ich aber auch nicht mehr.
@@VernooFilms Gerne. Ja, die meisten Spinnen sind harmlos. Als Arachnologe hätte mich ein schönes Bild gefreut. Aber klar, ihr könnt nicht allen Zuschauern 100% gerecht werden. Schöner Film, so oder so :-)
@@aracnolocoIch habe damals auf meinem insta @vernoomedia ein paar Fotos von Spinnen gemacht, ist aber auch schon eine Weile her. Ansonsten hatten wir einen Makrofotografen dabei, der hat coole close-ups gemacht! @david.moehnle.photography
