Gosh, KirbyKid just played out of his mind! Amazing to see so many techniques being used - the ledge cannons, reflector timings, the crown -> upsmash...so much good stuff!

Man Brr just kept making the same mistake against the Vacuum at ledge, which is not that hard to beat lol.
All he had to do was wait for him to drop beneath the platform and get up attack

Sakurai must be proud to see competitors like Kirby Kid keeping the spirit of smash gameplay alive in the 1v1 scene. So much of the meta seems to kind of subvert the quirkiness of the game but you can't get around the absurdity that is king K. I would argue that despite his poor reputation, characters like Steve also keep that smash chaos alive. Kazuya feels more like other fighting games that dont stray from the traditional archetype unfortunately along with a lot of the sword characters. I heard Sakurai lament the sheer number of sword characters in the game and I understand why.
That is one of the scariest tags ever, because the last thing I want to fight is a Kazuya that goes brrrr

This matchup is nuts lol. Theoretically Kazuya should win this by a large margin, especially at the highest levels of play i.e Riddles. But Kirbykid clearly knew this matchup better than brr, and brr's execution was not on point enough to make up for how hard they got matchup checked by reflect and blundersucc

Feel bad for Brr. KirbyKid is good in his own right but this matchup is literally just get kazuya offstage and then cannon for free since kazuya ledge jump is nonexistant, and his getup attack has no range. He played lame but he did what he had to.
Heavy characters like K. Rule are so obnoxious to fight. You outplay them constantly and they land two - four hits and your dead
That's the trade-off of using heavies. As a Dedede main, I'm used to getting my ass combo-ed to hell but landing them slow meaty hits is so satisfying.
