the vision that hwang had when he finally got soul edge that he will just slaughter everyone in his homeland made him realized that they do not need the sword ...men they really should put hwang in the game
Maybe... i could see how that bad Hwang ending in Soul Blade could become a new plot in this timeline
@Michael Arden Gervacio
Great news!!!!
He did return as a DLC but he's a dark (Not evil) Exorcist in Korea
@@seannegre7008he practices Taoism
Hwang x Seongmina definitively smashing. ❤
I'm so glad we finally got some more development on the nature of their relationship
Nope the only guy Mina be smashing is Yun-Seong.
@Shane Douglas I know but I'll always still ship them. Plus I think it's complete bullshit that Hwang is in the game but not Yun-Seong. Yun-Seong is a much more likable character and has been in the game since SC2.
They’re childhood friends, and potential siblings by adoption. If it was just the first one, I would be on board. If it’s both, that’s not right.
@Shane Douglas how bout a ship tease between Yun-Seong and Talim?
seongmina's voice is so nice
I love it!! It’s the same as Bernadetta in Fire Emblem 3 Houses
Megumin from Konosuba
Idk why but everytime i see Hwang it always feels to me he should of been the main character of the Soul Calibur franchise...
I see where you’re coming from, no. He was originally just a palette swap for Mitsurugi for the Korean version of SoulEdge, who was lucky enough to be expanded into his own character for the PS1 version. Same thing did not happen to Arthur, the “Hwang” of SC1.
@@paperluigi6132 True, But it's just an odd feeling.
watching this, I now kind of realize why Yun Seong wasn't involved in the game. the story used the Soul Calibur timeline, the time even before Yun Seong came to the dojo! makes me accept a little why he's not included in the game. but Hwang? I still am hoping he's included as a DLC
If that's true then why did the keep Zasalamel?!
dkfeh chl I thought he was adopted before entering the dojo.
@@must-love-cats . Because Zasalamel is inmortal, and he was involved in the story even before sc3, by the time sc3 happens he already is putting his plan into motion.
Yun Seong is already training in the dojo. He is mentioned by Mi-na during an event at Libra of Souls. Mi-na asks for him to the trainees, and they mention Yun isnt there and he probably is following Hwang around as always.
@@must-love-cats . Because he is more popular.
26:37 oh my gods, I can't unsee this 😂
Hwang's Talking about Admiral Yi I suppose when he mention Heroes who moves the Country. Since he did serve his vessel during the war.
Kong sounds like Bass Armstrong from Dead or Alive and now I can't unsee it.
Ironically enough... Cervantes is voiced by Bass's VA
The estranged father of Xianghua, and Xianglian taught Seong Mi-Na the Ling Sheng Su style rod? I thought that was Edge Master.
Edge Master was her teacher during the events of Soul Calibur 3, but during the first Soul Calibur she encountered and challenged an "alcoholic man" who defeated her, and then taught her. He revealed himself as Kong Xiuquiang, a former student of the Ling-Seng Su dojo, after the training. I think this piece of backstory was originally there to justify the similarities between Kilik and Mi-Na. Source: soulcalibur.fandom.com/wiki/Seong_Mi-na/Original_Timeline
TheEdgeOfTheCoin Xiuqiang attended Ling Sheng Su? Why the hell did he steal the Krita-Yuga/Soul Calibur?
@@FoxGamer39618 I'm copypasting this from the soul calibur wiki:
Xiangfei forged a forbidden romance with a monk at the temple, Kong Xiuqiang, thought to be the most prominent candidate for inheritor of the holy bo staff, Kali-Yuga. Not until the illegitimate birth of their first daughter, Xianglian, was their love made known to the other monks. The monks remained very strict regarding the temple's edicts and Xianglian was taken from her parents on her second birthday.
Xiangfei became too wrought with grief to remain at the temple. Han Dongxiu, a sworn brother of both Xiuqiang and Xiangfei, urged Xiuqiang to leave with her and start a family with his lover, but Xiuqiang refused, and Xiangfei agreed that it was for the best. But as a final goodbye, Dongxiu helped Xiuqiang sneak the Krita-Yuga to his lover, to serve as a promise the two would one day meet again.
Unknown to Xiuqiang, however, was that when Xiangfei had left the temple, she was pregnant with a second child. She secretly returned to her homeland, was taken in by the Chai home there, and became a soldier in the Ming Dynasty Imperial Guard. Months later, she gave birth to her second daughter, Xianghua, but never revealed anything about the girl's father or his lineage to her.
By this time, the temple had realized that the Krita-Yuga was missing, and found that Xiuqiang had stolen it. He was exiled from the temple, but Xianglian was to remain there to be trained as an orphan.

I liked the story modes a lot. But I really hated how the enemy is just there idly by waiting for the player to take them down.
Hwang Sung Kyung should have been in the 3rd 4th 5th 6th & 7th to have a storyline with Seung Mina to appear in each other's ending along with Horiane Shueroe & Seong Myeong. Li Long should come back already
18:15 Hwang = SC2 Assassin confirmed?
Yeah. Probably serving as a fandom nod
@@axceljulio5747 They should have made this a sequel instead of a.Remake/Reboot. that's not a challenge
The Assassin who is described as from Persia? They unfortunately aren’t the same. Sorry.
This isn't a story
That’s cute that that ending shot is a recreation of her SC1 ending.
I didn’t expect Han-Myeong, and Hwang to sound like that. I’m not complaining. Just felt weird.
I'm guessing the High Priest and Cult followers are the same cult that created Astaroth.
😍😍😍
I keep seeing Lizardman opponents in other stories. Does this mean that Aeon Calcos will be brought in this game?
It was discovered that the original moveset was found, but its not usable and it's incomplete; not even the attacks have names to them. You can find it on youtube I believe, but it's possible DLC?
ShadeKazin What about the fighting styles in the later games? I’m hoping he is DLC because I want to know how that happened to him.
@@FoxGamer39618 Considering it's a reboot, the best bet is to look up his plot from SC 1 and 2, and you've caught yourself up to everything you need to know. As for the fighting style from later games, idk. I can only tell you what's in the game right now, and that its an incomplete version of his original SC 1/2 fighting style.
They should have put this on Playstation 3 And Xbox 360 and make this a sequel.
ShadeKazin He was never in Soul Calibur 2, though he was in Soul Blade.
So...anybody else think that the priest wanted Mina to become his breeding stock?
Seon-Mina would definitely be a feminst icon considering her story
Alexander Gapour What about Xianghua who was a soldier in a time where female warriors were looked down upon?
Jasper Fox - FoxGamer39618 I was talking about them in a joking manner with feminist being weak in miserable in not getting their ways beside she's one of the weaker characters lore wise
Yeah Seong Mina’s story was the weakest lmaoo
Prepare for the feminists to burn us at the stake 😂
I like how Xianghua is a stronger female character and she doesnt even strive to be one lmao
Sammy Lui By burn us, do you mean burn all men?
@@FoxGamer39618 yeah, men are all complicit in the rise and perpetuation of the patriarchy XD
Ahhhh stop asking to marry her people
Chai-meras? Really?
So they did change Hwang's voice. That's too bad. The new guy's trying too hard to make his voice sound deep. It's distracting.
Yeah I switched to Japanese voices lol. I don't like his new english voice at all. I really like this voice actor, sad they never used this guy
The new Hwang sounds too much like Batman
The first voice actor is the late Billy Kametz, aka Ferdinand von Aegir.
Wait! Josuke!?
So they got rid of Yun-Seong BUT KEPT FUCKING ZASALAMEL?! Wtf?!
