The newest rivalry in the USA and already one of the best.
This derby always delivers
crazy match, cant expect more from such derby
St Louis' games are always fire. Love this team, from UK
They've apparently tried to adopt a very German style of football. They brought in a handful of players with Bundesliga experience. Their sporting director came from Hoffenheim. I've heard the city has a lot of people of German heritage so that makes sense.
What Brit follows the MLS? Especially a team that Messi or Beckham aren't/wasn't on?
@@ericbrown1101 Definitely. Their style of play and rhythm is very similar to that of the Bunderliga2.
@@bentientcheu1853 Yep, been following MLS for 15 years now. Football is interesting wherever you go, and the development of the sport in the United States is very intriguing.
@@bentientcheu1853 Haha yep. I've been following for 15 years now.
What a wild game! The MLS of the future I want to see!
Can we please learn to close out a game. That’s 15 points dropped now from a winning position after 65 minutes
I know and it’s gonna affect them later on in the season
The Darbecue 🔥🔥🔥
Klaus shoulder to shoulder is too much 😂😂😂😂.
It was amazing. Great intensity
Durkin's was great, Klauss' was borderline. probably because SKC were folding like lawn chairs 🤣
They need to hit the gym
The first one was clear
The second one was 50/50
Some ref gonna call it he played the ball
Some ref gonna call it a charge
Klauss got a call from the Blues' GM after the game
Best rivalry in MLS
Correction Best new Rivalry in MLS
Really enjoying this rivalry so far, but it's not old enough to be "the best" yet. Seattle - Portland is probably still the best in MLS.
LAFC vs Galaxy…..
Nope, Seattle vs Portland will always be the top. However, St Louis vs Sporting has absolutely delivered more than New York or Hell is Real.
Nahhhhh New England vs Vancouver is easily, and obviously the greatest rivalry
@@chebemchukwu4481 yea overexxaterating
The chant right before the first STL goal. Hahaha
Love the F St.Louis chants...and then get scored on 😂
This feels like an authentic derby.
Class game! Nice to see the away support as well
The best match in nordamerican football. Fantastic fans and real derby spirit on and off the field. 10\10
MLS IS BECOMING INTERESTING
another rollercoaster of emotions
Best rivalry in the league, both in terms of excitement and the name. I didn't think "Hell is Real" or "El Tráfico" could be topped, bu "The Derbecue" is an amazing name
What a match, so glad I went!
this is going to be a really good rivalry
Love this Derby 🙂🔥
Partidazo y la batalla en las gradas también muy buena.
Finally! Some decent chants in the MLS.
in love with our mls kits
klauss is so scary. He bodies everyone
A good signing for st louis would be henry martin
lmao
What a game.
Love this match, Real US Grinta.
Best Heartland Derby yet!! 🔥
What a match!
what a match wow
Amazing game, SKC always with the ties this season
CLASSIC SPORTING 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Makes you miss Roger Espinoza for SKC. If the ref and VAR are going to let all those shoulder checks for goals go. 🤷🏾♂️
Only for Klaus. When reversed and it's the defender challenging, they always call it. There's just no consistency.
Great match!
Well, MLS and sporting KC wanted a rivalry, so now they have one and it ain’t pretty lol
What a derby. What a game! Two teams with very passionate supporters groups
intense
That second goal was 🔥🔥🔥
What a Game!! Incredible play by both Teams!!
What the hell, that wasn't a foul at 2:28? You got to be effing kidding me!
That was a hockey game right ? 😅 go SPORTING KC
The first one was clear
The second one was 50/50
Some ref gonna call it he played the ball
Some ref gonna call it a charge.
SKC deserved that. Horrible defending with a lead at the end of the match.
How in the world did they deserve that? Look at the stats. They're lucky to take a single point at home.
I think he means they deserve to lose the lead, not that they deserved to win.
First time watching them?
@@GRITBONE Kind of - Casual MLS fan keeping up through highlights. It's hard to believe these guys are on salaries sometimes.
My wizards can’t hold onto a lead to save their life. Great game regardless tho, love this derby.
Go SKC!
Cant stand STL. But definitely an intertaining match!
The club isn’t even 2 years old 😂 what have they done to deserve hate?
KC don't want nothing
partidazo 🔥🔥🔥
Insane
Why in the heck would you wanna watch a Royals game after watching this?
Someone get KC into the weight room.
Only the cauldron was chanting the vulgarity. We were seated around some STL fans and everyone was civil. Relax.
Too bad 🤷🏻♂️😂
Who cares that is what makes sports and rivalries fun if everyone just sat together and cheered for each other it would be boring.
Nah man those chants are the best. I look forward to them anytime Seattle or LA come to town
I guess you can shoulder check now lol
Grow a pair. Fair challenge
Shoulder against shoulder is not fault, learn about football bro
The rules are very close ...it depends on the ref
Someone would call it fair challenge theres a chance he played the ball
And the other would call it a charge
Cry more buttercup
KC definitely got called all night for weaker challenges. St. Louis got the benefit of the calls with the exception of maybe 2.
Classic Sporting Kansas City to give away more points
What is this ref? That challenge for the first St. Louis goal was too much
MLS has great crowds and fun attacking play, but there are always several MASSIVE defensive brain farts every game.
Finally the terrible officiating goes STL's way.
Assuming you're a stl fan, at least you're one of the few that admits that...
For the life of me, I dunno what 14 for SKC is doing on that 3rd goal. Rather than just know there’s 2:00 left and a rookie on the run, keep him to the outside and stay between the ball and the goal, he decides to opt for chaos and goes with a front leg lunging slide tackle. Gets neither the man nor the ball. And Totland (sp?) is in all alone.
I can't deal that people sitting so mixed with each other in MLS matches lol. So awkward... why is there no dedicated away section?
How the hell did VAR allow that 2nd STL goal?
Nut up
When a dispute is shoulder against shoulder is not fault
The first one was clear
The second one was 50/50
Some ref gonna call it he played the ball
Some ref gonna call it a charge .
I advice u search shoulder to shoulder rule

no defense at all 😮😅
KC fans solidified themselves as the inferior Soccer city with their behavior this match xdd
especially with the chant: “f*ck st. louis”
@@seclusivebark7563 dont be a pussy bruh 😂
Inferior? Which city does FIFA consider inferior? There’s only one Soccer Capital, that’s KC.
@@loganleroy8622 widdle baby thinks a football stadium makes them the soccer capital how cute
@@tiltedairi And the ignorant St Louis fan thinks that FIFA picked KC because of the stadium. Instead of the culture, the food, the people, the fans, the growing community (unlike the decaying community further east), and the ability to move around without rush hour.
Mean, sporting Kansas City fan anymore
GG
It’s sad how STL lives rent free in SKC fans minds. What a lame fan base.
? Ur mom gay
It's sad how SKC lives rent free in STL fans minds. What a lame fan base.
@@aidanwiehl2397 STL SC's front office didn't deliver a cease and desist letter to a fan podcast over calling it the soccer capital.....which is accurate. 28 years in the MLS nor Arrowhead make you a soccer hub.
Makes sense that they let the second STL goal count:
"Shoulder-checking
A player puts shoulder into an opponent to muscle the other player out of position. The elbow must be tucked in or the act may be considered elbowing, which is against the rules and can result in a penalty.."
That's from the official rules...of Ice Hockey
Sporting KC can thank their defender Rosero for the referee letting those two shoulder checks slide which led to both first half goals for STL. If a player is trying so desperately to win an Oscar over and over again, you should expect the referee to hold his whistle when an actual foul occurs because no team should be rewarded with the benefit of the doubt when one of their players pretends to have a near death experience every time they get beat by an opponent. Why there is some expectation in soccer that diving and feigning injury shouldn’t be punished, but praised as a legitimate strategy to win a game is something I will never understand about this sport, as I couldn’t imagine a more embarrassing thing a professional athlete could do than to fake an injury over and over again as a way to beat an opponent. Like have some self respect or get off the field if you truly believe that faking an injury is the only way you can win a game.
@@BobbyBoucher228 you are breathing some real copium if you think rosero getting hit in the head multiple times and "acting" is the reason a referee didn't do his job to call a fair game. the ref all game called the smallest of fouls the players weren't concerned with and would let play heavy shoulder checks and slides. Also feigning an injury is a great strategy when you're up. Im pretty sure he didn't do it at all when they were up 1
@@ryanedmiston8725 An inflated ball from a pass deflected and hit him in the face on top of him almost dying on multiple occasions anytime he got beat by an opponent or St. Louis looked like they had a scoring chance coming. I can recall at least four times Rosero went down and and just somehow escaped death and was fine immediately afterwards. Too many times in this sport teams are rewarded for diving and feigning injury to get an advantage which does a real disservice to the MLS’s attempts to draw more fans to their league and makes other North American sports appear like better options since outside of the NBA no other league embraces flopping as an important strategic aspect of their game like soccer does. The fact that you believe feigning injury is a positive thing for a professional athlete to do as a means to beat another team perfectly explains the issue, you embrace classless behavior as a legitimate way for a professional team to win a game. To be clear all of the shenanigans that Rosero pulled were before St. Louis got their first goal in the first half when Kansas City was up a goal.
Cry more
@@BobbyBoucher228so you just happened to miss all the times stl players just fell down from minimal contact? Big tree fall hard.
the defense of the HANSAS CITY pt"s a joke ohmygosh||| all ball that came pass for they easly they always get colision between him and the ball stand always with players oponent, unbelievable. has that make corretion, positionament, to know who go first who wait... make the defense more organized don"t to be like crazyes. at 90 minutes lost the last played last ball and carch goal, nibody deserve definitly
SIUUUUUUUUUUU
5 things...
1. I love a physical game (and you knew it was going to be), but this referee had no control of the match. Yellow cards for dissent, but not actual contact fouls is laughable, especially when it mattered. Both teams could and maybe should have had players sent off.
2. Erik Thommy is the heart of this SKC team.
3. Take nothing away from Pompeu because that was quite a hit. Goal of the year contender in my book, BUT it shouldn't have counted. Score should've ended 3-2 SKC.
4. St. Louis fans booing Rosero all night is rich, considering their boys Klauss and Parker love to throw their weight around and dish out cheap shots, but can't handle legitimate physical play.
5. Best natural rivalry in MLS. KC fans could've been more out in force, but the Royals and Current both were also playing around the same time. Not sure who in KC thought to schedule all that. St. Louis fans bring the noise and energy, but it's really just annoying little brother energy. Enjoy the stolen point on the road, because it certainly wasn't earned.

Gotta be reminded who their daddy is.
Unclassy fans in KC throwing out "f*ck st louis". I didnt watch the full game so maybe theres context but like thats embarrassing.
brother soccer chants get way worse than that lol grow up
@ryanedmiston8725 brother I've been around soccer for a long time and I know what they're like that doesn't mean it's warranted out of no where especially when there's a rivalry this young and it didn't seem like anything worthy of it happened in the game yet u got half the stadium chanting it like it's the playoffs or they're playing dirty
@@obrother3750 bro you are fucking soft, its just a basic chant, in southamerica is way worse and i love it 😅. If you dont like it go and watch golf pussy
