Troll of Trondheim: Winter Weather in Trondheim, Norway

Welcome to Trondheim. It’s mid-December, and as a Brit living in Trondheim I can’t help but be amused at the recent headlines in the British media referring to their winter weather as the Troll of Trondheim: www.lifeinnorw...
While the temperature has dropped below zero in the UK. here in Trondheim we’re enjoying unseasonably cold weather of -17c, which is about 1F. It is extremely rare for it to be this cold in Trondheim before christmas. So when I woke up and saw this scene outside, I wrapped up warm, grabbed my camera and headed into the city to show you all what the Troll of Trondheim is really like.
After a short bus ride I made it into the city, where it was a couple of degrees warmer, bnt still -15c or 5F. It was early on a Sunday morning so everywhere is very quiet, but there were still a handful of people braving the cold.
Keep watching to see Nidaros Cathedral, the old town bridge, Bakklandet and the christmas market. Enjoy the Troll of Trondheim.

I would love to live there. I live in a tent in the Scottish Highlands, have done since July 2021, no choice, no help. It has got to -12C this week, that's pretty cold in a tent. I would prefer to do it in Norway though, it is quite simply a far better place to live.

I have lived in Trondheim so to say most of my life. -17 isnt that cold have been colder. I am mostly indoors for most of the winter anyway. Not by choice, but cos i have to. Would move, but cant.

The point of this video wasn't that -17 was really cold, it was because of the newspaper headlines in the UK calling their cold snap the "Troll of Trondheim" even though it was much colder in Trondheim at the time.
