- I attended the Passholder Preview Opening Day for Six Flags America in Bowie Maryland on 7/1/2020, and was given a tour of their new COVID-19/Coronavirus safety procedures. The highlights include the new thermal temperature check, hands-free security scanners, advanced mobile food ordering via their app, sanitation stations all over the park, multiple mask-free zones, social distancing markers in queues, and social distancing seating on the rides.
The best part was that there were hardly any lines for any of the rides, so I got to ride a bunch of coasters with no wait!

Glad to see Six Flags really stepping up their security and safety tech compared to other parks I've seen.
Yeah, I was super impressed!
Way better indeed....
Anything that will get people in the park is something. Doesnt matter how many safety protocols they have in place; its good to see things back to somewhat normal
Great video... Your optimism is contagious as always!
Awww, thanks. It's definitely genuine - I was thrilled to be back!
“This new building “
hunny thassa tent
Beyond the tent is a new building.
So security rubbing me up for 10 minutes to make sure I don't cut into park profits was unnecessary all along? Who woulda thunk it
Thank you for this, I was looking for information on how all this would work at Six Flags America.
This was a really informative video! Granted I wont be going anywhere in public other than necessities for awhile, but its good to know some places are being so protective of their customers.
Glad it was helpful!
Great video!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it!
great vid very informative, i really love the new park entry procedures, especially bag check, as u know thats the slowest and worst when entering the parks, i really hope its as effective as it looks and look forward to that being a permanent thing . the food app is great as long as u can easily add instructions changes etc to ur orders. My only thing about ordering food online is payment what if u dont use debit or credit cards , i personally like to pay in cash, i find it easier to manage my finances, especially going to theme parks, cant overspend if i dont bring it in, do u know if u can pay in cash after ordering on app? But i think they have done great job in changes for entry, hopefully other parks will pay attention and follow there example
Yeah, it would be great if every park had this setup! Boggles my mind that this exists and Disney and Universal hadn't installed it even pre-Coronavirus.
Unfortunately I think the app is cashless-only. And I know that especially now a lot of places are going cashless for obvious reasons.
Question, can tickets be purchased at sixflags? Or it must be done online?? Anyone know??
I think they removed the ticket booths, so I'm pretty sure they have to be purchased online.
Dark side !!
Are clothes optional in the mask free zones?
asking for a friend.
Do we have to make a copy of the reservations or what do we Do? And if bought 2 membership do they give to you at six flags? Btw this is my first time so I don't really understand it
You can either print the reservations, or they can scan them from your phone. Not sure what you're asking about the memberships, though....
@@DarkSideOfDisney If I buy 2 membership one diamond elite and one is gold plus do they give it to you there?
CNBC just said 1 hour lines for coasters because of the social distancing
At Six Flags America?! Wow.
@@DarkSideOfDisney just to clarify the park is not full its 1 person per seat on coasters and 3-6 feet away in lines don't makes them much longer
Six flags America is not Baltimore, (bowie/ upper marlboro) Baltimore is a whole 25-30 min away
Everyone knows Baltimore.
Did you get the Rona?
Not that I'm aware of!
Anyone know if we can but tickets there?
I don't think so - I think tickets have to be purchased in advance now.
The Dark Side of Disney oh okay thanks👑
What about the showers?
Showers? Like, rain?
That's the whole purpose really.. to introduce the things people normally would not like, and with conditioning, they are thankful for said things.
As a life long WDW fanatic, I'm pretty much done with theme parks. I'll pass on the x-ray scans that can even see booze strapped to ankles and testicles.
It's all fun now, but wait till we can't buy, sell, or trade, without a vaccine verification of some kind...
I WAS THERE ON THAT EXACT SAME DAYYYY
