I got the double wrong. It's only if the fighter using the ability takes down an enemy fighter. I didn't take into account that no other fighters would be able to activate during the fighters activation; got carried away haha 🤪 Thanks to David Kartzinel below.
I think you may have misread the double - it's only until the end of the fighter's activation, so I don't think it's possible for anyone to get buffs off of other kills from other models.
Aaah yeah, I got it now. Of course, no other fighters will be active during this fighters activation, so they would have to be the ones to take the enemy fighters down. Thanks for that, I got carried away! haha

My favourite deep dive yet, thanks Lee! I love how the Savagers are the 1st bespoke warband to have an alternate build for their leader. I'll be building my Proven with the spear and mace as I have Godsworn Hunt too and can't wait to field all four variants of Proven at the same time! Looking forward to your deep dive on the Brood. 👍🏼

Unfortunately, Godsworn Hunt has 32mm bases except the doggo. If you use them elsewhere like I do, you would probably like to avoid rebasing.
But you could use Theddra as a Godspeaker, the greataxe/greatblade dude as a second/third Slaughterborn when you have more territories.

I built these for exactly 1000 points: model no. 10 with a great axe, the male proven with a blade instead of the flail (because of heroquest barbarian nostalgia) and the rest the most expensive options and you get to exactly 1000 points. Thanks for making these videos!!!

Leaders a little strong vs the OG ones (IG) but I think they did a great job keeping the creep down. They nailed the theme imo

I got the Spidermen for free and they are cool. I’m going to replace the leader as he’s silly but I was looking at the Darkoath and I was jealous. The grand-Flail alone was the best.
Love the 80's carton vibe from them, but the Darkoath are an awesome warband. They'll be featuring in a Warcry battle report on Friday.
I'm still feeling kinda let down the spider clan wasn't new forest goblins, but with all the awesome models released this year I needed a breather anyhow! I think Gdubs could sell models I have no interest in for the next 9 months and I'll still be playing catch-up
Haha its crazy how many good games and miniatures have been released lately. I think there's a good chance they'll bring out some monster/allies for Warcry. The previous ones were so good.
@@tabletopskirmishgames can't argue there! As cool as the 40k models are I can see why people who only play it are constantly saying AOS players are spoiled with the coolest models! Though with the new ORK and killteam models recently released they have nothing to complain about if those are their armies!

Honestly I get all of these offshoot games mixed up constantly, which is fine as I'm only really interested in AOS or 40k anyhow ( if I'm going to play a game with my little toy soldiers I want to bring them all, I'm greedy like that LoL!).

I much prefer Kill Team to anything else, but I like AoS models. I'm hoping this is fantasy kill team (with a few more narrative elements).
You'll love it, been playing AOS, and 40k for years and Warcry is my favorite skirmish game by far, GW really hit a homerun with it. I'm glad they are still supporting it by releasing awesome sets like this.
Great review, really looking forward to the set ... unfortunately the wife is holding it hostage till Christmas when it comes in... but at least I have plenty of time to plan out my warbands !

Wait: Dark Oats what now???
These are the Darkoath sculpts I wish Godsworn Hunt had received… although the head shapes are really odd on the basic guys: they’re very narrow with sunken cheekbones and are almost diamond-shaped; not particularly realistic-looking at all. Imho, that’s the only flaw these have aesthetically, whereas the Godsworn Hunt… oof, I really dislike them which is too bad as the original Darkoath Chieftain from WHQ Silver Tower is AMAZING. Glad he’s finally got some worthy followers. I have resisted Red Harvest so far, but this deep dive is helpful; I’ll either cave in and get the whole box or wait until the warband is available separately, although in that case, you don’t have access to any of the narrative on the faction. :-/
I found the models in real life weren't so thin faced, but still a bit on the narrow side compared to other models. The images on GW site made them look really narrow. That Chieftain is a great model, would be a fantastic hero choice for this warband.
Hi Lee, great video mate and I'm wondering how it can be "Until the end of the battle" as it also says "until the end of this fighters activation. Does this mean that the model only takes one activation and then applies the "wait" action and if he's left to complete he's turn as the last model in he's warband, then that might be how its referring to the "Until the end of the battle", but if so then that's a mistake and it should be "Until the end of the battle round".
On the original Warcry box cards, i found a few mistakes which were brought up on various videos that I watched, so mistakes are inevitable I guess, but I've only played about 3 base games and 1 Catacombs game, so I'm still scratching my head and with Red Harvest ordered I best get a movie on lol (Played base game today and had to remind myself what to do lol
It's just until the end of this fighters activation for an enemy fighter to be taken down. If no enemy fighters are taken down during the activation, the rest of the ability won't come into play.

I am really debating on this team - I like them, but I'm a little concerned GW has overvalued their admittedly awesome double. The midweight fighters stats are really underwhelming...although I think the one with the 3 inch flail at s5 is the best of them. I also like the 4 attacks with the crits on four. Definitely going to need a second box to get a good list. And maybe the Mindstealer Sphinx to make people move to your guys so you get double attacks on them to proc the double. The list I'm looking at seeming really solid is:
Slaughterborn with GreatAxe (threat to stormcast type models)
Godspeaker
Proven w/great flail x 2
Wrathtouched x 2
Glory Seeker w/paired weapons x 3
That's 9 models at 980 - I doubt I'll be able to build that out of one box, but it seems dangerous.
Mindstealer Sphinx sounds like a solid move! There is only one great flail weapon included in the box but I think it would be easy to make one with a bit of spare chain from a Nighthaunt and a couple of bird skulls.

How do you add the underworld godsworn? Just proc them as other salvagers?
The Tome of Champions has fighter cards for them as Bladeborn, but the new updated version doesn't seem to include them. You can definitely proxy them for fighters from the Savagers. Also have a look at the Untamed Beasts as they can fit in nicely with them.
