Pipe Organ Console Hauptwerk Conversion - Part 1

This is the first part in a series of videos where I take an old pipe organ console and convert it to a MIDI console that can be used with a Hauptwerk or other virtual organ setup.
The console looks like it has had a hard life. It was built in 1964 by Rushworth & Dreaper and spent it's life in a London school, where, over the years, it has suffered somewhat and is now in need of some serious TLC. The idea is to restore the cabinet, keyboards and controls and finish up with a very nice Midi console.

Thanks for your kind words. I am still waiting for the keyboards to come back from the restorer. He's very thorough!!! As soon as I have them here I will continue the series, starting with a look at how lovely the keyboards look and feel :-)

The setter drawers would be great for pencils, post it notes, paper clips etc.

I know it’s probably a bit too late, but you could keep the side drawers and wire them up so that one can re-arrange the crescendo pedal sequence like you can in the software.

Oh boy, Novation launchpads?? Do you have a video on how they can be used with Hauptwerk???

The toggle stops can be replaced with an Allen Vista unit.
